    Three amigos salsa with chips
    Pranjali S.

We came here for a quick drink and an appetizer. The visit was not quick because of the slow service, even when the restaurant was not busy. Once seated, it took a while before a server came to get our order. We had questions about the different draft beer options. The server offered us an opportunity to taste the ones we wanted for 25c. This is the first time we have paid for a tasting, which we found very weird. Once we made the decision, we had to sit on it because the server did not show up for a while after she had provided us with the samples to taste. I ordered a mango jalapeno margarita, which arrived and I got through around half of it before we got the lager we wanted. The lager was ok. The margarita was also ok with hardly any paprika on the rim. We ordered the three amigos salsa trio - sweet mango, spicy peach Serrano, cantina style to accompany the drinks. The salsas were off the charts. The cantina style was SPICY! The spicy peach Serrano was also spicy but more along the lines of hot and sweet. The sweet mango actually felt very nice after the other two salsas. If you love spicy food, we definitely recommend getting the salsas. Here is how bad the service was: we asked for water at least twice while we dealt with the hot salsas, and none arrived. My husband had to take the ice out of my margarita to calm his tongue down. We did consider staying on and ordering more food, but the slow service changed our minds. The pricing was ok. Ambiance is typical Mexican restaurant with low light. Portion sizes of food seemed pretty large on the tables around us. It seemed to get busy as we were leaving the restaurant around 7 pm.

Great place to have a beer or cocktail and some food. Chiming shaved prime rib was really good. We got great service from Ashley. The entire crew was quick and friendly. Parking on site. A very good choice for either grabbing a drink or eating after spending time on the lake or hiking to Horsehoe Bend....

Blk bean burger with sweet potato fries

I'll start by saying I'm grateful to have found a place with not 1 but 2 vegan options on the menu. I decided on the blk bean burger with sweet potato fries. It was loaded with avocado slices which was perfect addition to help with the dryness of the actual patty and bread as they didn't have any vegan sauces or spreads. The service was ok, we did wait a while for our order to be taken being that it was 5pm and not quite busy. We also waited a bit long for our food to arrive. The restaurant itself is divided into 2 sections the bar side and sit down dinning area. The lighting inside the dinning area we were sitting in had a flickering effect that was a bit annoying as the place wasn't very bright and very dim. Overall it was good place to grab a bite after a long day of exploring.

I came here for dinner since they had decent reviews on all platforms. I have to say, I was not that impressed with the food. We ordered Jamaican Jerk chicken wings, deep fried avocado, and 2 burgers. I personally had the cowboy burger, and that was good, but nothing amazing. The BBQ sauce on it was good, though. The side of sweet potato fries were soggy and very salty. I barely ate them. The chicken wings were also very salty, and the meat was dry. The deep fried avocado saved the evening. The crispy outside with the nicely textured avocado on the inside. I do recommend this appetizer. I probably wouldn't come back if I was in the area again. I would want to try somewhere else. 2.5 stars. Not a 2, so I will give 3.

Steak, Brussel sprouts, sweet potato fries, ketchup.

Service was alright. And the wings were decent, from what I heard - they were what you'd expect from a bar/tavern in a smaller city. The steak though... complete SHIT. $44 for a tasteless slab of meat, no seasoning, barely any salt and pepper. Funny how they had a special section on their menu, highlighting their "grill specialties" as if it were prepared any better Same can be said about the side of roasted vegetables. Literally NO salt and they were undercooked. Tasted like I was eating raw brussel sprouts. Sweet potato fries were alright. Front desk service pretty incompetent as well. Seating took too long - many other parties were seated before us even though they walked in after and were the same size party.

Loved the vibes of this place, it has nice rustic charm. It's a great place to have a drink and chill out after the tiring day you would have at canyons. We did not have to wait for the table, service is a bit slow. But the food was really delicious. I liked everything we ordered. Also the food on the nearby tables looked delicious. I wish I had gone with a bigger appetite. Would recommend this place.

The service was absolutely delightful ! Our server Jourdan was great on checking with us and the food was served very quickly . Wait time was on point !! Highly recommend going here after watching a beautiful sunset at Horseshoe Bend !

Passing thru town and felt the itch for some hearty all America food. The cowboy burger was excellent, fries were MEH. The fried avocados looked great on the menus, but in reality was over-battered and also very MEH. Overall a good experience and hearty eats

Tried based on the last Yelp reviews and also had amazing service with Ashley. Salsa trio was tasty and came with a huge bowl of chips. Both had prime rib that was very prepared medium rare as requested. The side salad was mixed greens not lettuce with tomatoes and cucumber. Very good.

Everything was phenomenal! Good vibes/atmosphere, friendly quick staff, top notch food. Compliments to the chef. Definitely coming back! Jordan, Adriano, and Tyler were particularly wonderful. Had the pulled pork sandwich, mac n cheese, broccoli cheddar soup, pulled pork fries, peanut butter chocolate pie, strawberry cheesecake.

Our server Joy, was very sweet and accommodating- we really appreciated her willingness to make honey mustard when they didn't have it, and her offer to bring an extra plate for my parents who shared a meal. The interior is super cute with photographs of the area by local artists that are available for purchase. We had the cowboy burger, which was huge. Pretty sure I needed to unhinge my jaw like a snake to eat that thing. It was very tasty with perfectly cooked bacon and a sweet bbq sauce. The sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned. I had the avocado and bean tacos. They were ok, but I finally squeezed the lemon on them that they were served with and OMG- it really brought out the flavor. Don't be like me. Squeeze the lemon on the tacos first thing. Overall, great food and great service and I would recommend!

Also had ants on the table towards the end of our meal

Went inside and to the bar where we were acknowledged by "looking for the menu, it's up above" and sure enough it is affixed to the wall above the bar. I gave my order to the husband while I went to the lady's restroom. The lady's restroom was clean and orderly with 2 stalls and sufficient supplies. Husband says the same or similar regarding the men's room. Came back and went to the table the husband had picked out. I went over and then veered to the condiments bar. Picked up napkins, plastic silverware, mayo and mustard. Husband had ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries for him and a salad plus chicken for me. Each agreed to glasses of water. Husband said the fella behind the bar was a nice young guy. Visited just a bit, then the food was brought to us. The burger looked good as well as the fries. Not sure if the husband didn't want catsup or if it wasn't available. The salad was filling and good with lettuce, a small bit of diced red onion, quite a bit of diced celery, and some tomato atop a bed of ribbon sliced lettuce. We ate and looked around, we couldn't see the chef and the bartender had gone to deliver drinks to a people on the outdoor deck. Oddities: 2 salad dressings avail: Ranch or Italian? Cheese on salad was chopped sandwich/burger type. Overall: Limited menu with the basics of what you'd want to quickly grab - burger, a couple sandwiches with a wrap option, chips or fries, and this garden salad. People we encountered were not friendly nor unfriendly, we were unknowns in the golf clubhouse. It was all even toned ride while we rode the wave. All was cool.

We decided on Gone West Family Restaurant based on their solid reviews and we thought that American food (especially with a Western theme) would be the way to go. When in Rome! We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. Parking is easy in the complimentary lot they share with several other businesses including a Chinese restaurant right next door. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what I was hoping for. Gone West is a spacious restaurant with one large dining room and another large dining room. The difference? The one in the back has a stage where they play live music. So, if you want a quieter atmosphere, choose the first room. If you want to enjoy some live music while you dine and drink, choose the back room. We sat in the back room. A band played various covers while we were there which we enjoyed. The decor is also awesome with a lot of Western and country decor including John Wayne, Johnny Cash, and more. Service (4/5): The hostess was super nice and accommodating which was a nice way to kick off the experience. Our waiter was pretty solid. He could have stopped by a little more frequently, but overall, did quite well. Drinks (4/5): I went with an Arnold Palmer (they only had pink lemonade unfortunately) so not a lot to right home about. With that being said, they have a decent beer list and several cocktails. Food (5/5): I went with the Chicken fried steak sandwich with spiral fries. CFS on a sandwich?! I couldn't say no. Country fried steak is one of my favorite Southern dishes, but I've never had it on a sandwich before. Check out their concept: breaded steak on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with green onions, gravy, and a fried egg with your choice of side. This was a great sammie! It was quite messy, but given how delicious it was, I didn't mind. The fries were delicious too, and it was a generous portion. The type of portion where you can easily have leftovers. Everything I was hoping for and more in this dining experience. While the food options in Page aren't vast (and as impressive as larger cities), Gone West should be at the top of your list!

Food arrived quick, server was friendly...but disappointing across the board on the meal. Two kids got burgers, hard and lacked flavor. One got bbq pork, just didn't taste great. For the price, food needed to be better. And then took forever to get check to cash out.

Created around 1864 by the Navajo people using the meager ingredients given to them by the US Government at the time. The bread quickly spread to other tribes throughout the country, and is usually just referred to as "fry bread," but in AZ it's always preceded by the prefix "Navajo." My first encounter with it was in a church parking lot at San Xavier del Bac (aka The White Dove of the Desert), where Native Americans had food stands selling fresh fry bread topped with honey and cinnamon-sugar, as well as savoury toppings like ground beef, lettuce and tomatoes in what's popularly referred to as a Navajo Taco. Fast forward to our recent trip to Page, and we stopped into a little restaurant called Steer 89. It came recommended by a local--and I always take local recs seriously. While perusing the menu they had an item called a Navajo Burger ($15) and my curiosity was piqued. Essentially it's a giant hamburger sandwiched between two fry bread "buns," and I really have to say it was easily the most unique thing I've had all year. The burger itself was terrific, as it was seasoned well, had good beefy flavor and cooked expertly. And it was "run through the garden" with all the veggie accoutrements I demand. The hand-cut fries were also a treasure to behold and were everything a fry should be: fluffy, yet crisp and just a bit overly-salted. Of course, we had to get a Navajo Taco ($12), as well, and it too lived up to the hype of the originals I'd had in that church parking lot. While it was nothing fancy, this was probably one of my favorite meals we had on our recent trip and definitely worthy of multiple repeat visits next time we're in the area.
