Came here for dinner on our last night here in Page, AZ. We wanted to make it a special meal tonight and it did not disappoint. The place is located in the marina at the Lake Powell resort. We showed up early at 5pm and was able to score a table right by the window. The place is nicely decorated and has a great view of Lake Powell where you can see boaters out on the lake as well as the majestic mountains in the background. They had a nice menu selection and we started with the risotto arancini which was delicious. I had to hold back from licking the plate. Each meal comes with either the soup of the day or a house salad with prickly pear dressing or a caesar salad. My wife got the soup and I chose the house salad. The prickly pear dressing was quite delicious and very sweet. I really wasn't sure what to expect but it sure was good. My wife chose the kalbi short ribs and I chose the skirt steak. My steak was good and cooked well but seemed a little dry. Wish there was a sauce that came with it. The potatoes and the brussel sprouts were tasty sides. The kalbi short ribs were fatty and we did have to pick out a lot of fat. Not sure if this is normal but the sauce was good and the meat that was there was good as well. Her sides were a side of rice and green beans. For dessert we shared the bread pudding that sure did hit the spot. All in all it was a great meal and a nice way to end our trip. Unethical staff and AWFUL customer service! So apparently this restaurant is seasonal and shuts down Nov. 1st. However google maps shows that the restaurant is open. It costs $30 to enter the park where the restaurant is located - I even told the park ranger we were going to the rainbow room for breakfast and she STILL took my money to enter the park. Then when we got to the restaurant they said that "EVERYTHING was closed and that the bar area opens at 4pm" Luckily I have 2 eyes and could see a small cafe. I told the man managing the cafe about our troubles and ALL he did was tell me that the ranger knew the restaurant was closed and that there's nothing he could do. I asked him to take accountability for the misinformation and paying $30 to get to a restaurant that's NOT EVEN OPEN. It's disgusting that no one made a single effort to turn our experience around. We were here with a tour group so we had a "selected menu" consisting of prime rib, tilapia, or a vegetarian option. Four at our table of 6 chose tilapia. When our tilapia meals arrived they were cold. The small portion of fish was cold, hard and dry. The green beans, maybe ten of them total on each plate, were cold. The small portion of mashed potatoes was cold too. And the plate was cold. We flagged down a server, who sent over a supervisor, who said he didn't think they had any more tilapia because they only bought enough to fulfill the contract for the tour dinners, but he'd go see. The supervisor did not apologize. One of the four asked the supervisor for the prime rib instead. The supervisor said he didn't know if they had any more but he'd check. I think he was hoping we'd be discouraged by the delay and uncertainty. A few minutes later he returned and said there was no more tilapia so we would receive salmon instead. A server whisked away our cold meals and soon returned with three plates of salmon and one plate of very rare prime rib. (No one even confirmed prime rib was available or asked the guest for his preferred level of doneness!) The plates were still cold but the fish was at least warm, so we ate. I guess this 'you should be grateful we gave you anything' attitude is management's way of dealing with legitimate concerns. The cost of our meals was included in the tour price but not alcoholic beverages. Four at our table ordered wine or a mixed drink, and we were charged an 18% gratuity on those drinks because there were 6 at our table. Our breakfast buffet experience the following day was also a disappointment. The first plate I took from the buffet stack had old dried food all over it. The potatoes, breakfast tacos and scrambled eggs were barely warm. The pastries were just-removed-from-the-refrigerator cold. They really do need more help. But the steak I had was cooked perfectly but I feel that it should come with steak sauce on the side. My girlfriend didn't care for the pasta, it wasn't well flavored and salt and pepper couldn't help the taste. We originally selected the Rainbow Room due to the fact that they offered some pasta specials for runners in town for the Lake Powell Half Marathon. We stopped by the desk around 6pm and made a reservation for 7:30 that night. It's a good thing as they had no tables available when we came back for our ressie. Seems that there are a TON of tour groups that start/pass through/finish at this resort so that along with the race crowd proved to be a pretty busy night for the restaurant. Our server was extremely friendly, pointed out the pasta specials to us and didn't get upset when we chose water as the drink of choice haha. The menu looked so good that we actually skipped the offered specials and went with a chicken/veggie/garlic alfredo/linguinie pasta (me) and a very tasty chicken dish (her). Both were really tasty and better than we anticipated. We did have some salads as starters, a house and a cesar (with chipotle cesar dressing) which were smallish but did the trick. For desert we decided to split the indoor s'mores...which was billed as a chocolate mousse with graham cracker crumble, and some dollops of marshmallow on the side. The mousse was heavier than expected, but still pretty tasty in its own right. We were originally going to return here on Saturday night, but had too much fun with drinks and appetizers from Driftwood Lounge and ended up by the firepits all night instead haha. The host is not very accommodating.We requested table by window and there were like 5 tables available. Told us that it was already reserved and they should be coming in 5-15 min. We finished our dinner which is so so and the tables were still empty except for one, that just showed up just as we were leaving. We were so excited to eat here for breakfast during our powell trip! we made reservations and woke up excited. we were greeted (not really lol) by our host who barely said "are you makayla?" and I said "yes I am!" and she just grabbed two menus and turned around, walking towards the dining room. in a empty restaurant (minus two tables) we were still seated in the very middle, away from the windows + the view. I asked our waitress if we could move to a spot close to the window and she said "I don't care." The waitress was very kids frindly so my kids were happy. They gave my kids a menu which including coloring and cross words so my kids were quietly waiting for their dishes. First - this place recommends making reservations at least 24-hours in advance. Not a big deal, BUT they don't answer their phones mid-day. Kind of problematic. The view is amazing. I definitely recommend going at sunrise or sunset. The food is very good, although a bit pricey. For two people, we got an appetizer (hummus), two entrees (NY Strip and Prime Rib), and two drinks each - we ended up spending $150 after tip. The waiter was great. He was friendly, but not pushy. He made some great suggestions, and was very attentive with refilling our drinks. Our food was timed perfectly -- as we finished one round, the next promptly arrived. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would give them an extra star if they at least set their phones to roll over to an answering machine when they aren't there (as of now, it just rings endlessly), and another extra star if they drop their prices just a touch. read more

We ate @ resort as the buffet is decent and inexpensive for $16 for adults and $7 for kids. It's just regular continental breakfast nothing unique... your scramble eggs (which doesn't appear nor taste like real eggs at all and the texture didn't taste like real eggs). It's very nice atmosphere... request for window seating as you get a beautiful view of the lake & marina. Their restaurant doesn't get crowded as they need to present a more unique food selection as it's just your basic bacon, eggs, oatmeal, toast, fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs, scramble "fake" eggs, sausages, cereal, and pastries for buffet. There's also an omelette station which goes with your buffet but only down fall is that you can only get juice for the kids' buffet while adults gets coffee or tea. If the restaurant or hotel management can modified a better menu or food selection, I think they could attract more of their hotel guests and increase revenue like offering a breakfast meal packet read more

My husband and I both even talked about how good she was. Well...... then the food came. My husbands steak was extremely mediocre .. and my chicken was.. well.. I'm not sure if it was chicken. The burger same thing, frozen, pre-made burger. NOT good for how they're both priced. So, you may be asking 'why two stars?' There was only one server who happened to also be the bartender ....on a Saturday night!? Poor guy was slammed ! He delivered us something we didn't order- but felt so bad for him we ate it, and of course would pay . The hummus plate, it was actually the best thing ! My husband ordered a beer and got that right away, I ordered a mojito and it took quite a while but he made it a strong one so I can't complain . I would say, save your money. After the meal my husband says, "i need something else to eat" - not what you want ! And lastly - give your servers better support ! It was our first trip to Lake Powell. My love and I were being seated when two men rudely interrupted my conversation with the hostess and complained when they they couldn't be seated as a party of 15 people (including children) all next to the window. The night manager was trying to accommodate them with service that wouldn't disrupt everyone else's dinner when they decided to leave and take their business elsewhere. My man and I were seated with a beautiful view from tier 2, not the window level. We could see everything. GORGEOUS VIEW and the nicest service folks you could imagine. Donna, our waitress, accommodated my tweaks. The night manager, Kristoff, checked in on us to insure service was to our expectation. We had a WONDERFUL dinner with a welcoming dessert to add to our first Lake Powell memories. We recommend the restaurant especially for intimate dinner at sunset. The food lacked flavor and it is pricy. We went in expecting a hotel restaurant, and were somehow disappointed. The best thing about the restaurant was the view (to be fair, it was spectacular). Everything else was subpar. The charcuterie plate had cheese straight from a supermarket cheese tray - 4 little cubes. The serving sizes of appetizers were pretty small - hummus was small saucer with 6 triangles of pita. For the salads, they had 3 dressings, ranch, blue cheese, and prickly pear. We tried the prickly pear, which was candy sweet. For the entrees, I will say that I am someone who loves salt - I often salt my meals at restaurants. Everything on my plate was salty - meat, potatoes, even the orange fennel salad. Despite this, we tried one dessert; the campfire s'mores. Essentially a chocolate mousse with smoked graham crackers on top (as advertised, but tasted fairly foul), then slimy marshmallow on top of that. During the meal, we had to ask 3 people for refills on water, then when the pitcher came they refilled one glass of the person who asked, and ignored the 4 empty glasses on the table. This made the salt level harder to tolerate, because we were thirsty! Overall, go for the view, then leave. read more

But I did give a 5 star rating because of the great service we received! Our server was this great man, I think named Charlie. He saw that we struggled to take a picture of ourselves, so he took us out on the patio TWICE to take a whole bunch of pictures with a lake/Mountain View and then later with the sunset behind us and also reflecting on the table tops. He was just a very attentive server and also a fun person to talk to! If you get him as your server, you're very lucky! Also, we had our water refilled by a lady, and I believe a supervisor or a manager stopped by to ask how was our evening. Alright, the Rainbow Room is a beautiful location at Lake Powell with wonderful views, especially at sunset. Setting is beautiful, room is beautiful, my family and I felt it was very special when we were seated, but that feeling pretty much ended right then and there. It was a Tuesday night, a little later than the dinner rush, but I guess it was still a little crowded. Our server was polite at first and we generally didn't have many issues with her specifically. The menu is simplified but we all managed to find something we were excited to order. My sister is a vegan and was able to find an option or two as well. We ordered an appetizer along with our entrees because we were hungry, however it took at least 30-40 minutes to bring only the appetizer out, and another server brought that out so of course we scarfed that down immediatley. Once the appetizer was gone we waited, and waited and waited. All the while our server never stopped by our table, probably because we were getting visibly angry about the lack of service and lack of food. She could have at least came by to apologize about the food taking sooooo long. Also, while we waited mine and my sister's water glass became completely empty and no one came by to fill it, as well as most of our drinks from the bar were empty. So there we are sitting with no liquids, no food for almost an hour and 20 minutes!! I have never waited that long for food in my life, on a Tuesday at that! FInally, our food comes out and my mother's procuitto wrapped chicken is COLD. My sisters butternut squash and quinoa salad has literally three tiny chunks of butternut squash in it that she has to dig for to find. The other two plates were ok, but nothing we thought they would be after looking at the prices and thnking we were in a nicer restaurant. The server takes her chicken back into the kitchen to warm it up and it comes back BURNT, absolutely BURNT. The brussel sprouts were BROWN and the proscuitto was HARD, what the heck??!! And to top it off the MANAGER BROUGHT IT OUT LIKE THAT. We spoke with the manager, they offered some free dessert, we stated we didn't want to wait another hour and 20 minutes for it and they ended taking off a huge chunk of the bill but I honestly didn't want to pay for anything because we got such crappy food and service. We were staying up in Page for my sisters 60th. We decide to go to the Rainbow Room for her birthday dinner. We had spent the day out on a boat ride down the Colorado from the dam to Lee's Ferry. Beautiful boat ride! Unfortunately dinner was not so good. We had reservations at 7 pm. We arrived on time. We were seated at a window seat and the view was amazing. Our waitress came by for our drink order & my nephew ordered a rum & coke but there was no rum. The rest of us just had iced tea. Dinner was a buffet. That caught us off guard but we thought it would be fine. Buffet was salad, stale bread , prime rib, roasted hen legs & breast's, breaded Tilapia, mashed potatoes, & roasted brussels spouts. Everything was completely dried out except the brussels spouts that were the total opposite, greasy and the mashed potatoes were unbelievably over salted. Praying that the dessert was going to be okay was a big mistake. They even screwed up the brownies & the cup cakes were just okay. Must have gotten them at a local grocery store. Oh, and they don't brew decaf coffee. WTH!!! So, if your up exploring beautiful Page you might have better luck at Denny's without the view. read more

The whole resort is run by Aramark, so if your feeling nostalgic for your college dining hall days, go for it.
