Now; please before you judge me remember and respect whenever I find something I like I normally stick with it . If you truly listen to me I promise you will thank me later. The menu item I am talking about is called the ' Bluegrass Special'. The Bluegrass Special is a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato , pickles on a special bun. Not a post to comment on food. This is only service and management. We left before we could order. The hostess was no where to be found when we came in and waited and then we realized that she was seated on her phone in the lobby area and finally came to seat our party of five at a four top. The waiter came to bring drinks and then we didn't see him again. We asked another waitress to bring our check for the drinks so we could leave but they did give us the drinks for free. Tons of employees standing around on their phones and doing very little. Left and went elsewhere. Raffertys used to be a really nice establishment with pretty decent food. This was a decent spot to have dinner with my friends while I stopped in Memphis. It has a large variety and seemed to be pretty popular. You are required to wear a mask to enter but can remove it at the table. They had a security guard at the door so I am not 100% sure how I feel about that. But maybe that's just the norm. He seemed pretty nice. We all had salmon and we got some croissants as well. The meal overall was pretty good. I will say I was surprised when my bill came and dinner was $100. But it's all good. I used to go to the Rafferty's on Poplar Avenue when working in that area. Always loved it. The location on Germantown Parkway is just as good. I have to admit that both my husband and I order the same thing every time we go. I get the Chicken Salad, Soup (baked potato soup) and Croissants (with honey butter drizzle) and my husband gets the Chicken Finger Salad with Hot Bacon Honey Mustard dressing. It was nice to order the same thing as always, after not dining there for probably a year, and it being exactly the same. The service was very good and the food came out very fast. Today, we were there for lunch. They just opened. We ordered steak dinners. They went up on prices. The dinner came out fast because we were the first fewest customer there. The cook missed the spot on all three plates. The steaks were sear too long. They were black on each side. They were tab tough on the outside. Why? We didn't want to make a big deal but come on now. The lady who picked up our call is so rude. My friend has a little accent but it has never hinder the communication since most people can understand him correctly. My friend called to ask whether they still open tonight. The phone lady first asked him to repeat again which I think was acceptable and reasonable. But then after my friend repeating the question she just ended the call directly without saying anything!! W H A T? I called again to ask the same question. This time she answered but after I said thank you so much before ending the call, she hung up directly again without saying anything!! WHAT ON EARTH IS YOUR PROBLEM? Bathrooms are disgusting, garbage cans over flowing, pee all over the toilet seats, floors were nasty. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was raw I'm talking bloody. Well, I'll be damned! This was one of the best meals I've had in a good while. I really enjoyed everything that I had and was completely ready to be underwhelmed when I knew we were coming here. My server, bless her heart, was borderline dullard, and spent a lot of time walking back and forth from here to there for no reason. She was sweet, but really needed some organizational skill training badly. My Dad bought dinner and really liked her. He tipped her bigger than I've ever seen him tip anyone before. Strange My Dad loves this place. He says they have the best steak he's ever had. I haven't eaten at Rafferty's since probably 1996 when they had a place by the Hickory Ridge Mall and I just remember it sucking badly. Like. Bad. As far as the food that I had, it was great! My father insisted that I order the Filet (I like a Ribeye personally) so I did. I skipped the salad and opted for the "White Bean Soup". It was freaking awesome! I love a good pork and bean soup and this was superb. I ate every bite of it. My Dad even ordered some too after he saw mine. I did also eat Dad's honey croissant that came with his salad and it was fabulous. It was soft and airy and buttery and honey-y and oh my... My steak comes out a bit overdone but it was still really pretty great. I thoroughly enjoyed my food here. It had a great flavor and I couldn't imagine needing steak sauce with it. A+ steak! The garlic mashed potatoes were nice but a bit under seasoned so I had to add salt. I never do that. As I ate the steak it got better and better as it rested. I would totally come again tomorrow if you are buying. My Dad's steak was perfectly cooked so I was glad that he got the better piece of meat. My brother got a sirloin because he likes crap meat for some reason. It was good he said. We all left very happy and honestly it was the most economical steak dinner I think I've ever had. I sat in the Bar & put in a simple order of House Salad with Honey Mustard & Hot Bacon Dressings / Potato Soup / Croissant / $10.79, which was delivered quickly by a Kitchen Server. I live in millington and the Food was great Customer service was TERRIBLE. I ordered take out for me and my family. I got my food and left. As I'm driving back home my boyfriend checks over everything we don't have and dressing or condiments for our burger or salad which I'm not a pest I have some things at home, but I don't have the dressing. So I turn back around 15 min out and when I get there. Both Togo people tall man and a young woman who looked up as I knocked and ignored me purposely after I just spent my money with you all. First time coming to this location as we normally go to the one on poplar. The wait was longer but understandable for a Friday night. I mainly wanted to write this review for an amazing server we had named Vincent. He was such a rare one to come across bc it really felt like he enjoys his job and making his customers happy. We never had to ask for anything and he even offered to make us drinks to go which is something you usually have to ask for. I was really depressed yesterday, so I thought I should get something to eat. Food doesn't judge you, can't talk. So I went to a restaurant that I use to go to 20 years ago, called Rafferty's. I ordered a dr. Pepper and a finger chicken salad with honey mustard and hot bacon. They give you the option of hot chicken fingers or orginal . The waiter was very nice and patient, I didn't have to wait a long time for my food, maybe five minutes. On the plus side , dr pepper was filled, that deserved a great tip. read more

If I could give Rafferty's a zero rating, I would. We arrived at Rafferty's for what should have been a birthday gathering for my brother-in-law for a party of 12. Upon arrival we were told there was a 30 minute wait. After waiting for over an hour, we were told they'd have to seat us all at separate tables of 4 spread across the restaurant, but that was not what we were told originally. We then asked for the manager. We could clearly see tables that would allow them to seat us together and wanted to ask the manager why we couldn't have those tables. It didn't take us long to see why the customer service was so bad. The manager was not accommodating at all continued to repeat that he cannot give the same server a group of our size. He would have to split us across servers. He also said that Rafferty's is not the place for large parties and if his kids or family wanted to host a large party, he would not bring his family to Rafferty's. All I could say is "WHAT AN IDIOT." If for nothing else other than having us wait for over an hour to tell us they'd have to seat us separately while we watched them seat other parties of 4 during that hour, they should have been more accommodating. I could use race as part of the reason the manager was so nonchalant and rude, but IDIOT is all encompassing and that what he was. My family has loved Rafferty's for years. We ate at the Hickory Hill store before it closed, then the Rafferty's on Poplar until it closed, and were excited to still have the one on Germantown parkway, but with management like that, I can't see myself giving the store another dime. Birthday Dinner tonight was excellent! From the friendly greeting/seating, to the superb waitress, Nicole, to the delicious, quality food. Blackened Salmon- oh my goodness! Was disappointed when I ordered from Uber they canceled my order; since I wear oxygen that is my preferred method of dining. Therefore, I went to the restaurant to pick up the order and did not know there was a separate entrance for carry out. Our server Ashley was really sweet and friendly. And the honey croissants were great and the brookie was also good. The sweet tea was very delicious. However the chicken strips were overpriced and were really greasy. The bluegrass sandwich was ok. The restaurant itself was also a bit dirty. Saturday January 14th my and I came in to celebrate my 58th birthday. My sister called ahead because there would be be about 30 of us. She was told that more than 7 people we wouldn't be all together. We would be split up. We understand it that because our church choir comes once a month to eat there. She was told this by a guy, but when we got to the podium this woman rudely told us that we WOULD NOT BE SEATED. She said that the restaurant would have shut down if they accommodated us. Meanwhile many people are coming in and being seated. If we're being split up, how are we any different from the rest of the patrons coming in 3 and 4 people at a time. We said that we were willing to wait, I'm standing there with my birthday cake and being told no we will not serve you and your party. read more

Been here twice this week and was satisfied both times. I've had the fries, chicken tenders, ribeye, sweet potato, and house salad. All were good and hot when the server brought it out. I haven't had Rafferty's in years because it was just ok the last time I visited( poplar location). UPDATE: The to go area staff have been very unprofessional each time I've visited. The first time I figured the young lady was having an off day, but I've visited again and the same thing. The person at the counter seemed as if I was bothering her to place a to go order, wasn't friendly, and when my food was ready it was placed.on the counter and I was told " your order ready" and she walked off. It was her tone and mannerism that I was not pleased with. On my last visit two staff members near the kitchen area were talking loud and in each others face saying " I'll set it off" and other things that made it appear they were arguing. The staff nearby said nothing nor was management called to speak with the staff members. I felt uncomfortable and was glad my food had been placed in the counter...I surely didn't want them setting it off before I got my chicken tenders . Went on a weekend night. There was about a 30 minute wait time, during which our party of 3 was passed over while later-arriving guests in 2s or 3s were seated. They had no explanation for skipping us. That was the ONLY bad part of the meal. The food was perfect. The service was great. Prices are a bit higher than we normally pay for a casual dinner, but all places similar to them seem to be right now. We expected the small portions a lot of places are serving, and ordered entirely too much food. The loaded fries were as good as I remember them being last time I was here about 10 years ago. There was enough for 3 or 4 people. You could have them for the meal. We also got a rib/chicken fingers combo, the cowboy sirloin with loaded potato and a salad, and a kids chicken fingers meal. Ribs were a bit dry but still tasted good. Chicken fingers were fantastic. The steak... soooo good! I stopped ordering steak because of the change in flavoring over the last decade or so. This one reminded me why I like it so much. It was excellent and cooked perfectly. Great seasoning. Great char. No sauces needed. I'd come here again just for the salad. It was just a house salad, but was full of tasty ingredients. The hot honey bacon- something dressing was so good. Like eating a candy bar on top of a bed of veggies. A note though if you take half of yours home like I did. It is sets up when it gets cold and is not as good the next day. Don't pour it all on and mix it up so you're able to warm up just the dressing the next day. The best thing of all was the crescent roll with sweet topping. Mine came with the salad. I thought they used to bring these out with the meal as the bread, but we didn't get any others. I gave mine to my guys and they loved it and probably could have eaten a whole plate full. Roach land is the new name. Alex and Other Mgr were very inconsiderate to the fact that roaches were dancing around my head and the ladies next to us table as we seated in the booth told me it is what it is like accept we have roaches and only offered to take 50% off the bill totally treated the 3rd person with us rudely the whole experience was horrible.
