Battered fries is what I believe the term is. The coating helps them stay crisp and hot for longer. Nice invention really. Plus, the onions were very thick, which affects the outcome of a good onion ring for obvious reasons. Too bad. But big shout out to the servers here. They were all very sweet and helpful. Also walking through the hotel lobby, the smell is strong- cigarette smoke and cheap cleaner. It bothered me a great deal, but I'm not reviewing the hotel. The guests appeared to be a mix of local cougars at the bar, reservations from within the area, and hotel guests who weren't all necessarily dressed for the occasion.
