Poor customer service , My coworkers and I wanted to place lunch orders , the lady would answer the phone and place us on hold before we could get one word out and keep you on hold 10 plus minutes after being kept on hold so many times I requested a manger her name is Tiffany clearly doesn't hold the staff accountable as she made excuses for their poor customer service ..... stating they are busy and that 10-15 minutes on hold was acceptable, how can placing an order take longer than them cooking th order ? We will not be eating at a place that does not value their customers. read more

I literally don't like to write reviews but I'm currently all around very upset at this level service. First we had to wait an hour and forty-five for seating of seven ppl. Told us we can't seat together. Literally placed us apart while there was whole tables separating us. We even asked for a set of tables that no one was sitting at in the back. Asked the manager about the tables or even letting sit at one of the tables that was closer and she literally got an attitude saying we can't sit you in the section together. We literally asked to sit closer to our party and she just repeated her self with a voice and attitude. We just dropped the whole conversation because she obviously doesn't understand and she's supposed to be the manager. Long story short, both sections that we asked for, she told us no and waiting until we ordered THEN LITERALLY SET DIFFERENT PARTIES AT BOTH OF TABLES WE ASKED FOR! You send a party to opposite sides of the room. If we came together WE WANT TO EAT TOGETHER or at least near each other. Not to mention the 2nd half of our party got their food AND FINISHED EATING BEFORE WE GOT OUR FOOD! And we told the waitress we waiting on other to get their table so we could all order together. My boyfriend and I came out for a nice dinner. we have never been to Rafferty's and can say this has been amazing. The Buffalo Mac n cheese is amazing so are the burgers. But I want to say the server helping us tonight has been extremely pleasant and couldn't expect any more, she was not apart of our table serving but took over as if we were. I know, trying times and all now in July 2020. But... My sisters and I would previously meet here often for lunch and dinner. Up until now I have only experienced dine in service from this restaurant - which I would rate higher. But this week I tried their 'Carry out' service for the first, and probably the last, time. ( it was a tad irritating that when the order was made- they didn't mention that carry out pick up is NOT done via the main front door, nor delivered curbside-therefore, twice parking and dealing with Twice opening doors (avoiding touching door handles) was necessitated. But the quality of the take out food is the issue here. This week, Tuesday I think- mid week for sure, I finally convinced my neighbor to try the food at Raffertys - she had written them off from a bad experience years ago. Our take out order was simple- a burger & fries & a club sandwich and fries. Quick, easy and safe - or so I thought- since I have had both numerous times when dining in house there. (My neighbor eats out every day, usually 2x / day, ( yes -EVERY day- she's retired & does not cook!) it has taken me 2 yrs to convince her to give Raffertys another try.) The result--Both orders were so sub-par ( the club sandwich was a mess!--just slapped together, not assembled in the normal manner, bread not toasted etc.)after my high praise for Raffertys - it was embarrassing & to top it off - BOTH orders of fries were limp, cold and -dripping- with grease (& yes picked up on time per take out order request). Now, definitely- my neighbor will NEVER eat at Raffertys again in any capacity, and I will likely -never- attempt to get food to go from there again- which in the current climate for dining in -really drastically reduces my patronage of Raffertys as well. ( I'm just glad I didn't try to get the rib eye as take out! I can only imagine how botched an order like that would have been and more money wasted,) I dont know if they have a separate kitchen staff for the 'to go' portion of the Cordova location or what is going on there- but there is a definite need for some quality control and maybe some ' mystery shoppers' sort of follow up checks with the food that is forming their reputation going out the side door. I have always had great food and service when dining in at this location- but there are numerous other restaurants in this vicinity - chose someplace else if you want take out food, is my humble opinion at this point. We've been here 10 - 12 times and the food and service are consistently great. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual, and family friendly. There are a dozen or so TVs that play sports and news. (A previous reviewer stated that most if the TVs had on Fox News and I've found that to be untrue: must of the screens are tuned to sports.) read more

I hadn't been to Rafferty's in several years; I now recall why. I'm not a huge fan of their recipes. My salmon was overcooked, the batter on the fried mushrooms left a lot to be desired and the brookie was awful. I was expecting something of higher and fresher quality. Rafferty's needs better customer service. There is a long time employee who works carry out by the name of Rena/Reba who is always very rude. I called to place an order and was asked to hold. I left the call open while I drove to the restaurant, placed my order, waited for my order, and went back in to pick up my order. As I walked back in to get my order, 23 minutes after I originated my call, I saw Rena/Reba disconnect the call without ever coming back to the line to actually speak to me. While I was inside waiting for my order, I saw her repeat the same behavior with another call that came in. Cindy/Sydney, the manager I spoke with, advised that she wasn't going to do anything regarding my complaint. She advised me to speak with Mike Brown, the store manager, and provided the number to corporate. The slogan on the receipt says "No unhappy guests. Not even one!" I AM AN UNHAPPY GUEST!!! read more

Been here twice recently, both times for lunch on Sundays. Both times we had a good experience. The soup & salad combo is a good value for lunch. The salad portion was quite large, service was good. We'll be back. Hadn't been here in quite a while, thought maybe it was too 'franchised', but was wrong. Only complaint was there were a few in the lunch crowd who evidently don't get out of their 'domicile' too often and into a public setting, but that's out of the restaurant's control. read more

So... I've just gotta tell ya that the Raffertys on G'town Pkwy is probably my favorite place to eat., out that is. They have an excellent curdside service spot with great employees stationed there. Although, the ambience in the dining room is a little loud and overwhelming as your trying to enjoy the meal. On say a family dinner. I am going to avoid that thought seeing as the service and quality of food is top notch. At least it has been everytime that I have been a customer. GREAT JOB ON THE PART OF THE STAFF.!. I normally enjoy my visits here but tonight was absolutely horrible! The waitress was distracted and my husbands drink was disgusting. When I went to the bar to purchase a shot, the bar tender told me to go back to my table to order from my server. I advised her I had already cashed out my bill, but she did not want to serve me. She was VERY CONDESCENDING!! When I explained the service received to the manager, he was nonchalant and immediately defended the servers and acted as if he was waiting for me to finish so he could leave. Saw this place driving by and decided to stop in. Was seated very quickly which is a plus...after that though it has been nothing but minuses...waited so long for someone to come it ended up being the manager that took my drink order and since I had plenty of time to ponder the menu my meal order as well. I decided that I was in the mood for a burger...with an asterisk next to it the menu said "*cooked to order " so I requested medium rare and was told that was not possible..it had to be medium and above..I have in and requested medium as close to rare as possible and was told by the manager he would do his best...well the burger was way past medium..the cheese was not even melted and the onions were lukewarm...will never eat at a Rafferty's again read more

They refused to give even a rough estimate - 10-30-60 min is what I asked for as a ballpark range. Wouldn't give a guess. That just seems like poor management to me. I use to frequent Raffertys multiple times a month as it's so close to my house. However, the service and food has gradually declined. Today, I did a take out order of queso and chips. The waitress working the to go area was very busy, but polite. When I arrive home and go to open my queso, I realize I am staring at mashed potatoes. I call the restaurant back and inform them that One of my bowls of queso is actually mashed potatoes. The waitress laughs then says sorry it's just been one of those days, it's okay and hangs up. I know mishaps happen, however, I was very disappointed in her response and lack of trying to correct their mistake. Next time, I will just take my business elsewhere. read more

I've eaten at Rafferty's for years, both in Memphis and other cities. What I love is the consistency between menu items from location to location. Always know what to expect and get just that. When traveling a lot for work, it's nice to know you can get good food at a good price. A friend and I had lunch here on a Saturday. The place was crowded. There was a wait but there was seating available in the bar area, which we took. We each ordered salads. They were disappointing. My friend's ranch dressing was watered down and his salad just didn't have much flair. My chef salad - with honey mustard bacon dressing - just didn't have any flavor. The meat was highly processed and didn't have much of a taste at all. Also, the wait staff was rushed and confused at times. I had an very high expectation for this restaurant from a previous experience. Service was horrible. We received cold food and when we the food was sent back, food service manger did not tell the waiter and so we waited another 20 minutes for the food to arrive. In addition, I ordered a second glass of wine in which I never received. The waitress may have checked on us 3 times throughout the experience and I received my salad with my meal. The waitress was named Kay and the manager was named Micheal. Very Disappointed. We will not be coming back. read more
