I had ordered the Yakima Exo swingbase for a long road trip. I made sure to give myself enough time for it to come in. I tracked the item all the way on my city, and for some reason, I got a tracking message. "As requested by sender, the item is being returned." I connected Rack Attack, was able to get hold of someone right away. He said he would check on it and return my call. Two days went by, and there was no return call. I attempted to call them back, but nobody answered my phone call. I attempted multiple times for the next few days, and there was no answer. I even let it ring for over 30 minutes, but nobody would answer my phone call. I decided to use another phone, and they answered right away. I ended up not getting the item and had to DISPUTE the charge with my bank. read more

I thought this would be a 5 star review after great customer service buying nearly $2k of Yakima Exo gear a month ago But alas, they have failed to deliver a crucial component called the Exo Litkit that makes the whole setup street legal by adding turn signals, brake lights, and a license plate mount. When I bought this whole setup, I was assured the missing component was available at their Phoenix store and I'd have it within a week. That was a month ago now, and after several calls back and forth I finally got a message this morning that it would be another 30 days before it could even be shipped from a warehouse! What started out great has turned into a terrible experience as I'm now well invested in this cargo carrying system that will be completely unusable for most of the summer. Their alternative solution was to sell me another part which uses a 3m adhesive to stick temporary lights into my cargo carrier, but the part they quoted was a) not available on their website and b) did not solve the issue of relocating the rear license plate so it would be visible while driving. This is just piss-poor customer service! Once I (finally) get my last missing part from them I'll never return. Entirely untrustworthy when it comes to their inventory management system and their ability to deliver products they sell. Oh yeah, their website says they had the Exo Litkit in stock and can ship in 2 days. Tried to buy it there and the next morning had an email saying "sorry, we didn't really have it in stock". read more

Absolute garbage and trash business. They do not back the product they sell. I purchased a Thule top ride roof bike rack. About 2 weeks into use, the rack started to squeak. Concerned about my safety and others, I visited Rack Attack to inform about the defective unit I received. One rep comes out with me to see the rack. He hears it, and comments that he had never seen it. After shaking my bike on the roof a few times, he said the mount is good. Its just squeaking. Still concerned, I asked to speak with manager. Nate Sok, the ass. manager comes to see it. He shakes it just like the first guy, and then tells me as long as the bike is holding, its good. So I asked him, okay so if my bike flies away because of the defect i received, will Rack Attack be responsible for the damage. He said no. I insisted that this is a serious safety hazard because there is no one that is having the same issue as myself. He let me know that he will contact his Thule rep to make sure its not a defect, and if it is, he will swap it out. I said okay, got his card, and went home. Waited 2 weeks, no call. I called and let them know im still waiting. Waited another 2 weeks, no call. I called again and let then know im still waiting but this time, it was the store's general manager that picked up. He assured me that he will look into it with and give me a call back. Hoping that i reached the right guy, I waited and waited and waited. No response. I gave up now. Rack Attack, You are a rack specialist. I can go to REI right across the street and receive 10% member reward back and get a year long return policy. Only reason I went to your shop was I wanted the service from the experts and wanted to build my relationship with this store for my future purchases. Disappointing!! Phenomenal Customer Service! I have a super old Thule cargo box that was broken and also had jammed key. The team was able to work on it quickly and actually fixed both issues within a short period of time. Andrew shared some tips on how to ensure I get the most use of this old Thule. I lost my keys to my rack that I bought from this location and had my bike on the roof of my car. I flipped my house looking no for those keys but never found them. I searched my car and had no luck. I wish I could leave the bike on the roof, but my car would have to be parked in the street with my bike on top. Some people were already eyeing my bike. I called, and Victor answered the phone and told me to come to the store, and he would unlock the bike from the roof, and he did all within 5 minutes. Many places SELL all of this fun stuff for cars and trucks but when something goes wrong, it's more challenging to find a place to help diagnose and fix the problem. When I recently put my Thule bike rack on the car, it didn't seem to fit quite right, I couldn't figure out why and was concerned about driving with it until I could get it looked at by a professional. I was so happy to find the new RACK ATTACK store in the Tustin Market Place! Not only is the store beautiful and loaded with all the latest everything, but Andrew and his team were friendly and professional, they quickly identified the problem, had it fixed in no time and explained a few things that I should be aware of. I purchase a new Jeep Cherokee Overland and needed new roof racks. I personally installed the new set of Thule Racks, unfortunately the load stop accessory did not fit. This place is a joke. I called to see if they had a product in stock, and they said they had it. I told them I was headed over to their store to get it. So, I drove all the way over there and when I arrive and ask for said product...surprise, surprise...they don't have it in stock. The idiot employee says, "Uh, we just sold it right before you got here, dude." Yeah...sure you did, pal. You never had it in stock to begin with, but were too lazy to actually check inventory and so you just lied and said it was on your shelf. Needless to say, I was disappointed. But, while I was there, I figured I'd ask about another product I was interested in, and this employee is completely clueless. He can't even give me basic product info or answer simple questions about the specs. In fact, he spews BS for most of the conversation, just making stuff up. How do I know? Because after I left in frustration, I looked up the specs on my phone and then contacted the manufacturer, and...guess what...90% of what this employee had told me was dead wrong! Seriously, how is this place still in business?! The employees are totally incompetent and lack even a rudimentary knowledge of the products in which they are supposedly "experts". So, yeah, like I said, this place is a complete joke -- avoid at all costs! read more
