2015 Mustang V6 Before Black Glass Powder Coating and After

I FINALLY got my dream car, but the dream wasn't 100% complete so I went to work on fulfilling the dream. I wanted the wheels to be black gloss, I wasn't a fan of the factory set. I carefully studied reviews before I decided on New Year. Jonathan was amazing despite me calling a few times (ok probably more than a few LOL) to ask more questions. I left the car at 7:30. Jonathan called shortly after to let me know there was an issue with my lug nuts (known issue to Ford) and offered an affordable solution and suggested doing the calipers, sooo glad I said yes. When I saw the car I was smiling ear to ear and almost cried (yea I'm a gal) Jonathan & his team are amazing. If you aren't happy with your rims & want a change, I highly recommend them.

People kept on telling me that this was the place to go for powder coating wheels. My wife has a 2015 Lexus NX 200 T and we got her wheels done for her birthday. Their pricing is extremely budget friendly. There were a couple other shops that were slightly cheaper but the reviews said that the job wasn't perfect but what do you expect for the price point. This place was 10% more than the cheapest quote I could find but their work is perfect. This is definitely my go to spot. The center caps were not ready to go when we picked up the car but not a big deal. They were painted and Taped to a piece of cardboard to dry. Will just pop them in in the morning.

Impressive service! I was driving on the freeway when I suddenly ran over an object on the road. Whatever it was ended up puncturing my tire and rim. I called Lexus and they quoted me almost $800 for 1 rim. Ealeazer at New Year Wheel was able to repair the rim and replace my tire (with same brand) for 1/2 the price. Also, he was able to do it all the same day! Would definitely recommend New Year Wheels to all my family and friends.

I found New Year Wheels and when I pulled up an employee named Jonathan greeted me while he was working on a tire. These guys are great!! They work hard and are very professional. If they give you their word on fixing a problem or quote on a tire it will be the price at the end of the job. No hassle! I have been here at least 4 separate times for tires and rims and I'm pleased every time. Check them out for you wheel and tire needs! They also do alignments and balancing. read more

2nd time coming back here for tire and wheel repair service. Top quality workmanship and pricing. Convenient location with ample parking. This place doesn't charge you all those miscellaneous fees like stem, tire weight, mounting/balance, etc. The price they quote you is the price "out the door". Some places quote low for the tires and with tax and with added misc. Items; it comes out way higher than originally anticipated. Remember, CASH is king. Having alignment done here as well. Cheapest price around and with no BS. read more

Impressive service! I was driving on the freeway when I suddenly ran over an object on the road. Whatever it was ended up puncturing my tire and rim. I walked into the shop asking for a wheel to be repaired. They gave me a quote at a reasonable price. I left the tire with them and a few hours later it was ready. I picked it up and I couldn't tell where the original damage had been without referencing a picture. Amazing! Thank You. read more

Horrible customer service, not honest. I pay to have my four wheels powder coat. I was told my wheels would be stripped and powder coated not true. Wheels were powder coat, with out stripping the old paint. A bunch of dirt and fish eye. No pride on their work or business. My wife and I own several cars with big wheels, and are definitely never going back to this guys. Just a horrible experience over all. If I could I give them zero stars ... read more

Brought my Toyota Tundra in because I have finally had it with the maintenance of Plastidip and wanted my wheels powder coated. These guys had me in and out same day and I even did my brake calibers. Junk... should change the name to nothing new same junk service and junk repairs... Have been sending rims here quite frequently... just the last three experiences have been the shittiest. Price quotes given to be the cheapest; I even bring the rims to them to inspect first and foremost to ensure correct pricing. But then, *bam* overcharge *surprise* no call no informing me it's more until I show up or they drop it off. Seriously... wtf.... Previous posts must either be friends and family or paid for cause they are junk. Even their rims still leaks... read more

Well, I'm not one to give bad reviews unless they are truthfully due. Needless to say, I'm an unhappy customer. Bought a brand new set of Raceline Wheels for the tune of $290/each. Was recommended to use New Year by a friend whose wheels came out amazing. Wanted the wheels polished and then clear powder coated. When I was referred, I was told to talk to Beto, but when I got there ... he wasn't available according to the girl working. I explained what I wanted, even pointed out some wheels that they had there showing her what I wanted. She said no problem and quoted me $500. She said 3-4 days, I heard nothing and went down a week later. She called someone and they told her that there were some "fisheyes" in powder coat, so they needed another day or so to finish. No problem. I left. Another 5 days go by, no call. So I head back down. She said they were finished & as I'm loading up, she asked me if I wanted to inspect them (all but one were back in the original boxes they came in, so I didn't think anything about it). But I said ok. They were like a satin finish, not polished. I wasn't happy and she could see it in my face apparently. She said, "yeah, I know. I thought they would come out shinier too". I asked why they weren't polished like I asked. She said "her brother" (I'm assuming that's Beto?) said it was because of the cheap aluminum that the wheels were made out of, that they were cast not billet and that's why. It didn't sound right, but she said that they were as good as they could get them. I left disappointed. After an hour or so, I called Raceline Wheels to tell them of my disappointment because they knew I wanted a highly polished wheel, if the aluminum wasn't able to be polished out like I wanted ... why would they sell them to me?? They informed me that the information I got from New Year was 100% incorrect, that they polished these wheels all the time, to come down and see a polished set. So I did. That same day. I called to try and reach Beto (or whoever the owner was @ New Year) & couldn't get thru. Emailed my complaint, no response. Called for Beto/manager 3 more times, always busy. Resent email, no response. Crickets. Well, that's just crappy customer service in my opinion & no way to stand behind your work. I didn't ask for a deal or discount, gave them ample time without complaining. All I wanted was to talk about how to rectify the problem & get what I paid for. Turns out, upon taking the other wheels out of the boxes, there are cloudy areas in spots, fine scratches in the aluminum. Just over them now, it's obvious why they aren't returning my calls & emails after seeing their finished product. Sorry New Year, you failed on this one. Lost my business and anyone else looking for a referral from me. read more

If you are looking for the best powder coating, look no further. New Year Wheels is exemplary across the board! From customer service to the quality of work, they are amazing. I called so many powder coating companies in the OC and not one seemed honest or promising. One phone call with Jonathan and I knew I found the right place. Dropped my Genesis off at 8am and received a phone call around 3 that day that my wheels were ready. My only regret is that I did not take pics prior to their work. My rims were a mess from a detailer who used a wheel cleaner that ate the clear coat right off. All I can say is, if you are on the fence about where to go, call Jonathan at New Year Wheels. You will not be disappointed! Awesome group of individuals! read more

I provided the proper tools and clearly explained that the wheels require careful handling. During service, I was told that a simple screw securing the wheel cover (center cap)--needed to access the lug nuts--had been stripped and could not be removed. This is a basic, non-structural screw and should not be damaged when handled properly with the correct tool. Instead of resolving the issue, I was sent to a third-party shop, Costa Mesa Brakes & Tires Inc. (literally next door, about a 3-minute walk), where I had to pay $150 out-of-pocket just to remove that single screw. I was also told the two businesses have an existing relationship. No alternative solution was offered, and after waiting nearly three hours, I felt forced to proceed. To make matters worse, one of my wheel covers was damaged while the car was in their care. I was told it was "pre-existing," but I have timestamped photos taken immediately before service showing it was not. I was then quoted $100 per wheel cover to replace it. For context, my car was inspected at another shop the day prior with no issues, and I've used multiple tire shops across Southern California without ever encountering something like this. Overall, this experience showed a lack of accountability and professionalism. Customers should not be paying out-of-pocket for issues that occur during service, especially when being directed to a neighboring business.

Costco told me to buy new tires ($800=) Toyota Tustin told me to buy new tires ($600...) A Plus Tire Club's Owner Larry went out and checked out my tires and said I just need the right front tire for now. They don't sell used tires but he asked his employee went and checked for one and found one for my 2020 Toyota Sienna. He found a pretty good one with 50% tread left. I said how much? $40 with installation and no tax. 10 minutes later is was on my car, and all tires were cleaned with tire lotion. I gave them $40 plus $10 tip for their honesty, great help in finding me a spare in their used tire that day, and for their extreme efficiency in putting the tire on my car...( they call it NASCAR tire changing like they do in races. I can not believe how cool, amazing, honest, fun, funny, and great service they provided me ( and saved me$$$$$) by letting me know the other 3 tires were still good. I give this place and Larry (the owner) and his employees a million stars! Just for comparison and your tire is 400 each I was able to get away with 140 each plus the cost of installation. They do that at no charge with an oil change unlike Valvoline and Jiffy Lube who have never told me that they needed to be rotated. I will definitely go back to have Jose do my oil changes from now on... after I buy 2 new tires. Great service and honest business.

I'm sort of leaving this as a thank you for that service, knowing I might not be able to return for awhile. His service was also provided during a tough time in my life. He always charged me a fair price which is why I respect him a lot. I've never had a BS service recommended by him. Everything is "hey, look at this" or "this is what is wrong".
