I recently replaced my 3rd Gen Tacoma with a 4th Gen Tacoma and needed it outfitted for off-road camping adventures. During my research, I found that Tiny Rig is a Goose Gear distributor/installer and drove to their shop to ask questions and purchase a 60% rear seat delete platform. While there I found they are also an Alu-Cab Distributor/installer. I spoke with Noah, who educated me on the Ali-Cab contour canopy. Noah was so informative and knowledgeable about the canopy, that I decided to purchase one for my truck. The purchase and installation process was seamless and painless. In all, I purchased, and had them install, the Canopy, the Goose Gear platform, Alu-Cab load bars and a Baja Designs light package. During the instal process (two days), I was kept updated and received photos of the work in progress. The guys at Tiny Rig are perfectionists and do not settle for sub par work. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and attention to detail of everything they installed. I am so glad I found this shop and grateful to have met their team. Got new suspension installed with them due to sag and bottoming out from my stock suspension. Awesome team and very knowledgeable. My first time getting new suspension, and they were able to walk me through the different recommendations based on my needs. Thought I needed to go very expensive , best of the best, they advised it's not necessary for what I had told them what my needs were. It's also nice to know that even some of the employees run the same setup as me and they can vouch for the product and setup. One day turnaround for the install. My ongoing experience with this Team and this Shop has been nothing short of phenomenal. I have been treated like nothing short of family every time I have interacted with each member of this team. I had my Canopy Camper installed on a very strict timeline, right before a giant trip across the United States. Needless to say, I was kind of a pain in the ass. I sent countless emails with elementary questions that were met with nothing but extremely punctual, friendly and educated responses. Not only did the team at Tiny Rig complete my install on MY timeline, they made sure that I never once felt like I was a bother to them at all. Daniel knew my stress levels were high preparing for one of the biggest trips of my life. He's been there and done that. He knew my checklist of things I needed to have done before I left on my trip. Talk about above and beyond. Not only did the team at Tiny Rig complete my install, but Daniel and Tiff arranged to have my truck taken to Toyota and oil changed. I have always been interested in getting a rooftop tent, and I decided to look into an alucab based on the recommendation of someone who has tried many. Simple google search of "Gladiator Alucab" and I saw the Alucab Canopy Camper and looked at the dealer list and Tiny Rig was the closest dealer to me, I called them and they said they have one I could come look at that day. I decided for me this was going to work great, I have an older large dog and a ladder was not an option. I ended up getting almost all the options, got the goosegear interior, full solar, weboost, mirror replacement, advanced sealing. All installed by tinyrig. Since I've had my camper for 8 months it's held up through every type of environment, sand, dirt , snow & ice, and rock crawling. The only thing that has gone wrong with anything installed by tiny rig was a simple 90 degree micro usb to mini USB adapter for the mirror, which was an easy fix. This was the worst buying experience of my entire life. I strongly urge anyone who reads this review to think twice before using TINY rig for anything. after months of paying every bill they sent me immediately (total almost 50,000), never quibbling over a cost, it Came time to drop off my rig. One week before I sent this email. Hopefully you can see the email, I attached the pictures. I got there to meet the owner at 8 AM, as was the appointment time. He wasn't there nor did he show up until noon, so a new employee (Noah, nice guy, first week on the job) tried to help me by speaking back-and-forth with Daniel. Somewhere between 8 AM and noon I got a message from Noah that I have also posted telling me they could not proceed with the install because I hadn't brought the rig to them correctly. I finally came in and spoke to Daniel and every request I made to meet half way was met with absolute dismissal and absolute finality. Me: daniel I didn't know I was supposed to have these items off my rig, you saw my rig several times and never mentioned it. Can you please work with me? Daniel: yes I did, I told you when we first started the project. Me: show me where that is in writing. Daniel: I don't have it in writing but I know I told you. (In a condescending tone he said) "I install hundreds of these a year, I know what I tell each and every customer. NOTE: I have every conversation with Daniel on video because I was originally going to put this on my Instagram and promote TINY rig because it was an exciting project for me. I have every word Daniel has spoken to me on video and he most certainly did not tell me. Me: so since you didn't reply to my email and as a result I didn't bring the rig the way that you want it, why don't you take the things off and have your team drive them up to my storage unit 15 miles away. DANIEL: I don't have the manpower or the vehicles to do that. Me: why don't you take them off and I'll come and get them tomorrow. Daniel: I don't have any room to store them in my shop. Me: can you leave the parts outside and I will pick them up first thing in the morning. Daniel: my landlord would kill me. ---GET READY FOR THE FINAL BLOW YELP USERS--- Daniel, "oh... I see what happened here... the day you sent your email asking how you should bring your rig, that's the day Tiffany was diagnosed with Covid." It's a good thing I have my version of events recorded so we don't have to play this little memory game of 'he said she said, you seem so fond of. Next time put your 'version of events' in writing. I'm the meantime answer these easy true or false questions. True or false 1. You had seen my rig several times prior to install? A True 2. You didn't tell me to bring it to you without the rack on it. Note: between 17% and 25% of verbal communication is retained after 24 hours. You 'allegedly' told me this 4 months before the event I am highlighting. True BUT EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE 3. You didn't put that in writing. True you did not. 4. I sent an email 6 days before install with the word IMPORTANT all in caps on both the subject line and the body of the email asking specifically about how you wanted my jeep brought to you. This email went unanswered. TRUE 5. You then sent me an email thru Noah telling me the install would have to be delayed unless I found a way to fix the problem you created for me. TRUE 6. When we met in person, I gave several solution ideas to get my install back in motion and every idea was met with a firm NO. TRUE 7. Your final excuse after explaining that you had verbally told me 4 months prior to bring the rig empty was that Tiffany had gotten covid that day. True Even if you 'told' me (which I can prove you didn't) I wrote a clear email asking for clarification that you and your team DIDN'T RESPOND TO! Even in your world of 'told ya so 4 months ago' my email makes it clear I either forgot or needed clarification on. I'm sorry Tiffany had covid but WHO CHECKS HER EMAIL WHEN AHE OUT? And why in the world should that become MY problem. This was your fault that I came to your shop the way I did. You could have gone across the street and rented a storage unit for a week for 20 dollars and told me I had a week to pick it up. Despite my job being a smaller one compared to some of their other clients they still spent a substantial amount of time with me talking through all of my options and their recommendations. Daniel even provided several recommendations for aspects of my build that TinyRig themselves would not be working (suspension & other upgrades), and his advice was spot on. They are a busy shop but fit me in on the schedule that I needed to get ready for a trip. They prioritized the work that needed to get done before there trip, got me my vehicle in time, and then will finish the remainder of the work after. For such a young company, started up during a pandemic, their immediate success is no surprise at all! The owner has helped me to make great decisions for the direction of my build. As far as the one bad review I see here, I can't seem to figure out what TinyRig did wrong other than not accomodate Kits' lack of preperation. If this is Kit's worst buying experience in his entire life, he's had a very easy life. I was lucky enough to be one of the first rigs that Tiny Rig built when they first open and I couldn't be more satisfied with their work. From the moment I talked to Daniel on the phone to the process of building my ideal setup to the pickup, it was seamless and very transparent. I normally do all the work on my truck and I'm very hesitant with letting others working on it but Daniel assured me that their quality would exceed my expectations and they did 100%. I've also recommended at least 5 other people to Tiny Rig and all of them have walked out with similar experience. Regarding customer service, I had a faulty electrical part when my truck was ready, Daniel had the part overnight to their shop and within a few days Luke drove 4 hours to my place to replace the faulty part. Had an AluCab Contour installed on my Tacoma in July at Tiny Rig. I was initially satisfied with the purchase until I finally had to wash my truck. Washing revealed water leaks pooling in both front corners of the bed and a leak from somewhere around the front upper left roofline with water gathering in the track below the front window. I was really disappointed when an afternoon rain revealed my attempts to seal the leak points didn't work, this was while parked. I can only imagine how it will leak if actually driving thru rain. I was contacted by them shortly after this incident regarding my install to see how it was going, I let them know about the leaks and that I would try to solve the problem rather than waste a day going there. Their response was fine, to let them know if I needed to bring it in so they could help remedy the situation. Unfortunately, I have made several attempts over several weeks trying to remedy this on my own and have been unsuccessful utilizing Weather Seal silicone both inside and out where i think water is intruding. Subsequently I've made multiple attempts to contact them since by text/email and leaving phone messages and no one has called me back. So I'd have to recommend to anyone thinking of having Tiny Rig do the install, maybe think otherwise. But maybe they will respond to this review. read more

This would have been a 5 starif I would have had continued support, but after how I was treated today I feel its best to share why I rated this way. I purchased a Contour Canopy from here with no issues. I then purchased a Alu-Cab 3R tent that I found on Market Place that was 6 months old - Still Under Warranty. When an electrical issue was found on the tent, I reached out to Tiny Rig as a Alu-Cab repair facility nearest me for support, especially since they helped me with my Canopy. They were 100% supporting me, even with explanation of how tent was procured. I had all receipts of purchase, and provided everything they asked for. They informed me they were working with Alu-Cab on my issue. Today they had me schedule a time to bring my vehicle in so they can fully troubleshoot the issue. WITHIN AN HOUR, I then got a strongly worded text from DANIEL on how they were not going to cover this issue under warranty and if wanted it to be troubleshooted by them I had to pay 225 p/h. I am not sure what happened or what drove this, but they for sure lost a customer and I am posting my experiences on overlanding social media sites for awareness. I think the biggest disappointment was how it was handled. Extremely unprofessional and a poor representation of Alu-Cab support here in SoCal. read more

My experience with tiny rig started when I reached out to checkout Luke's power wagon after seeing the YouTube video. I met Daniel and Tiffany, super cool people. Tiffany showed me the setup, walked me through everything, and patiently answered all my questions which says a lot because I ask a lot of questions! Yes, I'm that guy. It takes patience to deal with me but I'm aware of it. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Long story short, I made my purchase and got in on the first batch of Alu-cabins. Now if you know these guys, you know they are busy but you'd never pick up on it based on the time and attention they give you. My favorite part of this interaction and every interaction since(there have been many) was they never at any point tried to upsell me. In fact, they did the opposite. They recommended I start small and through usage I'd get a sense of what I'd really like and/or need. They also give me options when I've looked into certain projects based on what I'd realistically need/use versus what the fad is or the "nice to haves". They give straight forward, honest advice and help guide you to what's best for you, your setup, and/or wallet. These guys really want people to be happy with their purchase and experience with them. This honesty is what has earned my business and loyalty as a customer. Their values shine through in how they conduct themselves in every interaction I've had with them. I've bugged Daniel, Tiffany, and Luke countless times via phone, email, and Instagram and a lot of my inquiries were technical and of no profit/benefit to them as I'm doing most of my add-ons myself. They've made themselves available to me almost every time and the few times they couldn't, they'd get back to me in a very timely manner. I've even bugged them as they're going to and from shows and they answer! They really make you feel like a friend rather than a customer. I work A LOT and don't live close so it's difficult to find the time to get down there. On several occasions they have even stayed behind after hours to accommodate me(I do not recommend anyone expect this though, out of respect for employee's families). As I continue with my build, Daniel, Tiffany, Luke, Luke's brother(sorry I forgot your name bro)and other members of the install team have all taken time from their busy days to help me and still do. I'm not sure how I stumbled onto Tiny Rig Co (TRC), but am glad I did. They have a stellar team of high performers and I would gladly recommend them to others. I had been thinking of upgrading our 5th Gen 4Runner with aftermarket steel bumpers (specifically, C4 Fabrication) but don't have the time, manpower, or space to install them in a timely manner. Testimony and story time below. I reached out to TRC on Instagram in early August 2021 who mentioned they do install bumpers/armor in addition to their typical Alucab wheelhouse. After a few back-and-forth emails with their main sales/marketing manager, Tiffany, I settled on build parameters and put in an order for a C4 Overland Rear Bumper with Passenger-side Single Swingout and a C4 Hybrid Front Bumper. Tiffany provided regular status updates as the bumpers were shipped out from C4's facility to a local powdercoating shop, and received by TRC. Unfortunately, C4 sent the wrong front bumper (full-plate overland bumper) as a result of C4 personnel entering the wrong order in their system. Tiffany gave me a call as soon as they found out about this error and asked if I was okay with the full-plate or was set on the hybrid - she wanted to be sure I got what I wanted. I told her I wanted the hybrid as it is lighter and had the look I wanted. She and C4 were able to sort it out and luckily a hybrid bumper was made available and shipped to powdercoating about a week later. Rather than electing to install both bumpers at the same time, I chose to install the rear first, then the front another time. Dropping off the 4Runner was an easy process - although a little sketchy to be honest. After having only been in contact with Tiffany via email and phone, I stopped by the shop when they opened at 8AM and met Daniel (owner) for drop off. To my surprise, there were no forms I had to fill out or check-in with. We walked around the vehicle to inspect for damages, talked shop about a new drawer system I had put in, and then handed him the key. I left with a sense of "did I just leave my keys with some stranger?" but felt okay to trust his integrity. It took about 2 days for them to install the rear bumper, which included a tire carrier and dual jerry can holder. At the end of Day 1, Tiffany called with a status update and asked if I had a preference on cutting the exhaust so it wouldn't stick out past the high clearance bumper. I had installed a Magnaflow Overland series exhaust with the hopes it wouldn't stick out as much. She took the initiative in using FaceTime to show me the issue, and I told her it would be OK to cut the exhaust if they really needed to. Morning of Day 2, she emailed back and said they wouldn't need to cut the exhaust, and everything should be ready by end of day. Mid-day of Day 2, Tiffany calls back and says there is an issue with installing the rear backup camera relocation kit because my drawer system mounts to the floor where the wire would pass through. If I wanted to proceed, they'd have to remove the drawer (which I did not understand since the mount could have been removed?)... or I could pursue the option of a rear view mirror camera instead. After some thought I chose the latter, which was the better option for my needs. Picked up vehicle morning of Day 3. Daniel and Tiffany gave a walkaround of the work they did, with Daniel demonstrating how different parts of the bumper moved/opened/closed. Tiffany came out with a spray bottle and rags to wipe off dirt/finger marks, to my surprise, but I quickly told her it was okay as everything would get dirty anyway! Daniel noted there was an exhaust rattle, which I determined later at home was a result of an exhaust hangar contacting part of the bumper. In messaging over Instagram, Daniel (I think), mentioned he could look into it when I dropped by again for the front bumper install. Ultimately, in some back-and-forth dialogue with Tiffany, I decided to remove part of the Magnaflow exhaust to eliminate the contact point. Overall - very happy with TRC's performance and customer service. read more
