Jeff, I forgive you. I understand times are tough, and I know running a business isn't always easy. But that still doesn't make what happened okay or justify how this situation was handled. I genuinely hope you find a way to make things right--not just for me, but for other customers going forward. I wanted to support your business and have a good experience, which makes this whole situation even more disappointing. If you're able to fix this, I hope you do. If not, I honestly don't know what else to say. I just wish things had been handled differently. read more

Jeff took a deposit for a truck camper shell the fist week of May and said it would be here in around 8 weeks. Well...the worst possible thing happened and Jeff scammed a lot of customers of their deposit money. July is when the excuses started and now his phone doesn't work and he is out of the picture. This is a really unfortunate situation and I hope everyone can get their money back. read more

JEFF IS A SCAMMER AND POS!!! I placed an order for a camper shell with roof tracks and a carpet kit on May 13th 2026. I was told it would take 8-10 weeks for completion and receiving date of around July 8th. July 8th came and went so the calling started. Jeff kept giviing me excuse after esxcuse regarding my order. Entering August he said it was finally in the production line at the manufacture but come to find out that wasnt true. kept calling and going into September come to find out he filed Bankruptcy, shut down and took off with my deposit. I swung by there today and found all this out by the new company moving in to the location. If you have orders within the 90day time frame, call your credit card company and charge back ASAP. If it is passed that time frame like most of us you might be out of like. read more

These guys did such a wonderful job on our truck a few months ago. I didn't realize how much I appreciate their work until we recently got back from a 15-day camping trip. The camper shell isn't an exact match to the truck color, but it's pretty flaming close. You have to be looking for it to notice it in bright sunlight. Also, the carpet kit for the bed is so useful and turned out great. It's sturdy and has some cool features. Very nice guy on the phone every time I had to talk to him. When my husband had some concerns, they corrected it as soon as possible and went above and beyond... Great company, Bel-Air Shells. #608 2017 Yelp Challenge 74/100 read more

Purchased my F150 6.5 bed camper shell from Jeff @ Bel_ari Shells. The whole deal went smoothly. From the purchase to the install Jeff did a great job. There was an issue with the wiring on my truck due to it being new (f150 hybrid), Jeff ordered the right plug and corrected the issue right away. I just got off the phone with someone from this company, and he was the most ignorant individual supposedly in the business for 30 years!!! I was calling about a rear window seal for my shell, and he felt that the potential sale total wasn't worth his time!!! I told him exactly what I needed, and he felt that I needed to bring my truck to him to start playing trial and error with the rubber seals he has in stock. What a buffoon!!! You'll never see my business, and I'll make sure that all my coworkers who live in the OC know about your ignorant customer service practices as well!!! read more

Rock solid - I popped in to inquire about a truck bed cover repair versus replacement. My old had fallen apart and was in pieces in my truck bed but they said they could repair it...which they did and better than before. The price was very reasonable and I couldn't have been happier. I drive a behemoth of a vehicle. I command the streets and, of course, the safety of my family. My Toyota Tundra has taken me to a lot of adventurous places as well as provided safe transport to our brand new home. I've called her, Baby Monster. She is sweet and terrifying. As we are building our family, we always have to upgrade our way of life. So, I want our family prepared for "MORE" storage. My Tundra has an open bed and I've always to see her turn from a pickup truck to an SUV. I had my eye two places, but there was one closer to the Magic Kingdom. We get to add the big piece to this truck puzzle and visit Bel-Air Shells in Garden Grove. Before I contemplated on going to Bel-Air Shells, I had to do some research both on Yelp and on my own research. The website is not fancy, but does give you an idea on the pricing of the accessories of what you are looking for. Bel-Air Shells sells, not only camper shells, tonneau covers, bedlines, and many other truck accessories. I wasn't sure if the prices that were listed on the site were accurate. So, I sent an e-mail and got a response within an hour. Jeff, the Salesman, is very courteous and told me that they update the pricing on their website. I told him what I was getting and gave me a quote. The pricing is EXCELLENT and not that expensive. We exchanged e-mails through the week and he was amazing to work with from 50/50 Installment (Material now, and Labor Then). So, I was on to meet with Jeff. On the northside of Garden Grove Blvd and two blocks west of Brookhurst St., you will find Bel-Air Shells. As you drive on the lot, you'll see many various models of camper shells and tonneau covers stack on racks. I brought my wife along to envision what my truck's camper shell may look like. We were welcomed by Jeff. Jeff is as courteous as he sounds on the e-mail. He has many years of experience with camper shells and tonneau cover projects for your pickup truck. We went over the details and concerns. Jeff even gave me scenarios on the options I chose. He saved me a couple hundred bucks because my version of cool hit reality of practicality. That alone hit the center of my logic and Jeff sold me on the spot. Bel-Air Shells does offer 50/50 Payment. 50% deposit to place the order and 50% to install. There is no Financing as it is a family business. Keeping it local keeps honest business alive. I placed an order for the Century Ultra-Sport. I would want it to match the paint of my vehicle. Plus, I added some other options that I will not mention here. I had one free option with the Century which was the carpet liner. The wait would be about 2-3 weeks for the Century Manufacturer to produce the camper shell. Jeff gave me a rang that my camper shell had arrived. It was time for my Baby Monster to be complete. I brought her in and let Jeff and Ron do what they are experts on. In about 2-3 hours, they gave me a call and my little girl was ready to hit the streets. I didn't come home right away as I was trying to savor the moment of how I once knew what my truck looked like. Then my wife and I got back to Bel-Air Shells. We got back in the lot looking for my "Precious". Like many people, if you haven't seen a person or an item for a long time, your eyes and mind plays with you. There she was! O-M-G! I felt like she was going into a battle. My wife was ecstatic to see Baby Monster looking even more beautiful than before. Ron met back with me to finalize the billing and go over details of the Century Ultra-Sport. The Century Brand has a "C" on the side of the camper shell. Almost reminds me of The Quarterbacks of football. After having my pickup truck for a couple years, the question of "Why didn't I do it before?" hits my head. I am sure you other pickup truck owners are asking about this too! Jeff and Ron are simply the best of what they do. When I do get another pickup truck (Heaven Forbid it), I will contact Jeff and Ron right away on pricing. They will work with you as well as your sounding wall on the options of your vehicle. Baby Monster is complete and she is hitting the road. She is no longer a pickup truck, but she is no SUV. She is MINE! Well, she was mine before, but she is COMPLETELY MINE! Yelp...My passion is not to write my reviews, but to share my experiences with you. Take that journey and share your story. read more

Hands Down the best pricing and service in all of the SoCal Area . This was my 3rd time doing business with them and I know I will be returning read more

Dont be fooled by the almost-dumpy-looking place filled with camper shells. No fancy-schmancy here. Just good prices, and great service. The guys here are stellar! I recently purchased a Silverado, and needed a bed liner. I was looking for a regular drop-in one and did not want to spend too much. I checked this place out since it was close to where i worked and asked for a quote. Both Jeff and Dave were very pleasant, and I received a good price. They were not pushy and did not have any of that greasy car salesman attitude. I went to another place that same day in another city, and even they told me Bel Air Shells gave me a good price and I should just go with them. I returned the next day and had my bed liner installed in about 30 minutes after walking in. I realized they also do running boards and steps. Pretty much everything I needed for my new truck. I might just return here for everything else! read more

Buying anything for me is not easy. Against all common sense, I demand to have the best deal coupled with reliable service and just an all around good vibe about the deal. For several weeks I researched, called, visited, stewed over many options for a camper shell to match my new truck. Some were too much, some were a hassle, others just didn't feel right. Then I came across Bel Air Shells. I found them online. I checked the website (which has straight forward prices). I called. Jeff answered. Jeff talked me through what options they had available in stock. I said I'd see him later that day. I checked the website again. I stewed. My girlfriend (sick of the back and forth) encouraged me to drive down and check it out. We arrived a couple hours later at Bel Air Shells. Jeff already had the three options moved up front and ready to view when we pulled in. He came and greeted and straight away gave off the good vibe I was looking for. I found it. He took us inside, priced the shell out and gave a generous but fair deal for a brand new camper shell. A few hours later we returned and it was installed ready to drive off. Working with Jeff was a great pleasure as he was honest, fair and nice. 10/10 experience. If you're looking for an affordable camper shell I whole heartedly recommend starting and ending your excursion with Jeff at Bel Air Shells. read more

Just bought a custom-made camper shell with the help of Jeff at Bel-Air Shells and the only way we could've been happier is if it was free! The product and customer service exceeded all of our expectations. If there is a Hall of Fame for customer service Jeff would surely be in it. We live 400 miles away and ordered it without seeing one in person with the help of Jeff. He could not have been more helpful with guidance in choosing size, options and colors and anything else that would suit our needs without trying to sell us anything we did not need. Every phone call, email or text I sent was answered almost immediately! If by some chance Jeff was not available Ron was right there to help out also. Bottom line, if you're out of the area or even out of state, don't be afraid to order one of Bel-Air shells custom made shells. As I said, all of our expectations were exceeded! read more

As good as it gets! This place has been in business for about 40 plus years, so you know they are doing something right. Also, the "rookie" on the job has been here for 26 years, so the experience and job knowledge is there. My camper shell had an issue locking, fully closing, and the key broke in the lock. I thought this job would be a lot more difficult but Jeff assured me that it was a quick easy fix. Jeff quoted me 35 mins and it was just about 35 mins. I was pretty much in and out. Super friendly staff, and awesome customer service! Affordable pricing and stocked very well. If they do not have what you need, they can get the party fairly quickly. Strongly recommend this place. Thanks again boys! read more

These guys were great. Very informative and took the time to answer all my questions. Got the truck bed cover I was looking for in a reasonable period of time with a nice quick installation. They even requested I come back after the bed cover was painted for any adjustments, and sure enough the painters messed up the lock which they fixed for no extra charge. Great customer service! Refreshing.... Would definitely recommend and come back again for any of my shell needs. read more

My camper glass got shattered when I tried to transport some long pieces of wood. And knowing camper companies the only way I can get that replaced is through their dealers. Luckily, Bel-Air Camper Shells is a dealer for my camper! Jeff took over the shop recently and Jeff and Irwin were really helpful and get my glass installed. I don't know how they did it but they ended up upgrading my glass! Highly recommended if there's any camper needs or any truck accessories needs. The guys here are great! Parked and walked in and was greeted instantly . I badly needed to use the restroom and was directed where it was, after the restroom break we got right to business. I saw an ad on Craigslist that showed a shell I wanted and was shown the item. He explained to me that it came with keys and he supplied the new shocks for the shell. He offered to install it but I refused and said I will do it myself. Again these guys are great! Took me total 20mins in and out! You rock guys! Thank You! read more

Jeff really is a nice guy! He's helpful and patient!! He actually took the time to get his forklift to put on different camper shells to see how they would look on the truck. We decided on a high cab Vision camper shells. Theyre so reasonable! And the prices are conveniently on bel-air's website according to the builder and length of the bed. The camper shell came within the week and only took a couple hours to install along with the carpetting inside! He had two different options for the carpetting, both for $429, which is cheaper than all the other places i checked! Definitely recommend!!! read more
