I took my 2023 Colorado to get retractable side steps installed. Unique owner was extremely nice and I thought what a great customer service. I was wrong. I picked up my truck. When I arrive home, I noticed that the side steps were not working. All wires were hanging under the truck and inside engine bay. harness damaged and carpet under seat cut up. They didn't follow install instructions. Can't believe that a shop can produce this level of sloppy work. All photos were provided to the shop owner. He acknowledged and apologized for the sloppy work. Promised to provide a new harness but it never happened. Did not fix the issue or provide a refund. He is hiding and doesn't respond to text or calls. Will file formal complain against this shop. Stay away. read more

I dont write reviews much, but I had to do this one for the sake of other potential customers of Unique Offroad. I have a '91 Ford Bronco that I have been slowly restoring at home, at some point a few months back, I decided to go with a 6" lift. Bought the most complete and expensive lift kit and my friend that also knows Unique Offroad recommended me to call them and check them out. Oscar told me he knew everything about the '91 Broncos and we set up an appointment. Said that it would be done in 2 days, I didn't believe it, but thought they knew what they were doing. A week later, most of the parts were on the truck and there were a few issues they had to iron out, like the bad front brake calipers...I won't put blame on them for that, however there was no communication whatsoever on what calipers I would like to replace the old parts with. He ended up buying cheap crap just to get the truck out the shop, even tho I would have loved to upgrade to something MUCH better. Anyways, the day came when I went to pick up my truck after Oscar told me that everything was done. Upon pick up he told me that the rear vibrates, but didn't know why...weird and suspicious but ok, I figured the angle of the pinion or the driveshaft was at a weird angle, thought I'd figure it out and bring it back. We'll, figured out the shaking at 25mph was from rear pinion angle due to the factory shims being missing after they removed them and did not put them back. Obviously didn't know what they were doing, looking further at the suspension, noticed bushings were twisted or pressed over bolts, washers missing and bushings sliding off, etc. Oscar told me they installed camber bolts and did an alignment, that was a lie after I asked him about it again. I paid top dollar for mediocre work, I took the truck back for factory shims to be installed to correct the pinion angle, torque down hardware again, place alignment bolts and do alignment...did 2 of 4 things, came up with an excuse why they didn't put the alignment bolts in or did an alignment. Also, they don't seem to care much about personal property, left my truck over the weekend there and didn't even lock it up, driver side door was unlocked, came up with an excuse for that, saying my lock had issues, when in facts, it does not. Also, they put Unique Offroad stickers on my rear windows without asking me for permission, and I'm not sure why they would advertise such low quality of work like they are proud of it, I would have been personally embarrassed...and I worked for vintage motorcycle and classic car restoration shops, dont have too much knowledge in offroad and place big enough to work on a large vehicle like this. So seeing the quality of work of this shop is just unbelievable. Usually, when people bring their cars in with problems, they leave with a car without problems...it is not the case with this shop... I would highly recommend against coming here, unless you know it is an easy task or repair, otherwise look else where for a more knowledgeable approach or solution to your Offroad needs. Last thing you need is to be on the trail or in the sand some hundreds of miles away with questionable work... Ps: I go to classic car shows, meets, etc...not a good look for advertising this kind of work, especially locally in H.B. where all other shops and locals see this. Highly recommend Unique Offroad. It took me a long time, and a lot of forum searching and people asking who they recommend and a trend I started seeing in the community was Unique Offroad. Furthermore, they were completely comfortable no questions asked working on a frontier. Wait...WHAT!? Someone who knows a word other than tacoma and jeepder-der? Wow! All jokes aside, it's tough as a frontier owner to find people who happily take on a truck they aren't super familiar with. They don't want time wasted on the lift while they make calls, order parts, or research onine. That aint Unique. They rock. Unique Offroad was able to fit me in 1 week earlier than expected to ensure I had a blast on an overlanding trip I was schedule for. I appreciate their efforts, they got the torque specs right, cut the Ubolt excess and I didn't even have to ask. I'm now in the process of buying new wheel/tires in 33" from them and will have them do some cutting/melt mod as well to fit them. Had to adjust my rating here, after 5000 miles on new wheels and tires I took it in for a rotation at my local shop only to leave and have strong vibration above 50 MPH, turns out Unique Offroad did not properly balance my wheels, in fact I am not sure they were balanced at all as no weights were added to any of the tires, I can't imagine they were perfectly balanced. Oskar is friendly and seems to know his stuff but now my tires have an odd wear to them because of the lack of balancing from the getgo, very disappointing as I have paid this shop quite a bit of money for the work done on my vehicle. read more
