My experience at Camping World in La Mirada started off shaky, but ended excellent!! I contacted the parts department via telephone regarding my recent in store purchase. I was looking for guidance on how to receive a price adjustment. The parts employee was not professional, seemed bothered and ultimately hung up on me. I am not typically a complainer, however felt it was important to share my experience/concern with Camping World Management. Store manager Candy, along with her supervisors were absolutely wonderful, attentive, ethical, professional and addressed my concerns related to my customer service experience. I would absolutely recommend Camping World in La Mirada for those looking for a business where the customer is valued and they strive to improve their employees communication skills. Camping World. Over the weekend, I purchased a sale item for my motorhome, but unfortunately it didn't fit. I returned to the store shortly after to exchange it for the same item in a different size. From the moment I approached the register, the cashier (ID #013191, no name provided) had an unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude. Her demeanor alone made the experience uncomfortable. When she processed the exchange, I was told I had to pay a price difference because the sale had ended. I understand policies, but this was a direct exchange for the exact same item--just a different size. A little flexibility or customer consideration would have gone a long way. She offered to ask a manager who was standing just a few feet away, but he completely ignored the situation and walked off without acknowledging us. That lack of support and accountability was extremely frustrating. At that point, I chose to request a full refund. I refuse to spend money at a business that lacks basic customer service and proper employee training--from cashier to management. It's especially disappointing considering my husband pays for a premium membership, only to receive this level of service. Overall, this experience felt dismissive, unprofessional, and not customer-focused. I hope the company takes steps to improve both staff training and customer care. read more

Very disappointing experience. We agreed on a down payment, paid it the same day, shook hands, signed the initial paperwork, were congratulated on our purchase, and were told to pick up our trailer the following weekend. We even activated insurance because we were told it needed to be in place before pickup. Then, on the day of pickup, the finance manager called and said we needed a larger down payment than what had already been agreed upon. We even offered to pay the additional amount if they could give us one more week, but they refused. Changing the terms at the last minute after we had already reached an agreement is unprofessional. We ended up purchasing from another dealership, where they honored their deal and got us into a new trailer that same week. Looking back, I'm glad Camping World lost our business. --To make matters worse, I noticed they still have the same trailer listed for sale--now at a lower price than when we tried to purchase it. read more

This store is very unorganized. Dysfunction junction. Customer service is rude salesman Guillermo was making rude comments to customers who leave without a sale, making rude comments to staff, walking around like he owned the place, computers not working, no seemed to know what is going on. They didn't know prices on certain trailers. The process is way to long to purchase an RV. Some of the isles are not handicap wheelchair accessible but one employee felt privileged enough to park his motorcycle in the walkway by the new trailers my friend in a wheelchair could barely fit without hitting the wall. I told the manager he said yeah Guillermo is always rude I am always talking to him. Cheez get control of your store. It was like everyone is running around not knowing what each other was supposed to do. Very disappointed in the experience. I bought a travel trailer not even two weeks of being Brand New took it out to my first trip had major electrical issues called camping world immediately they were not able to accommodate for my need and dropping off the travel trailer immediately. Instead, they told me I had to drop it off at a convenient time for them inconvenient for my hours of schedule, which I had to lose the day of work to drop it off upon drop off. They told me they would call me a day after to give me an update. It has been six days every time I attempt to call them. They do not answer. they ignore my calls. Buyers beware. We went to see a Lance 285 unit whose price was too good to be true. It has a mildew smell, and when we requested to do a private inspection, we were told that they would allow it, but that they would not let the inspector hook the unit up to electrical or water to test those systems. I followed up asking why they would refuse to allow us to independently test the basic features of the unit and no one responded. They most certainly know there is costly water damage to this trailer. They also would not provide a list of what was included in their $1,995 "let's go camping" package they try to sell you. I am extremely disappointed with Camping World in La Mirada. We purchased a camper there less than a month ago, and it has never even been used. While simply moving the trailer, a small fire occurred because the retention strap had cut into the wire insulation. Although the trailer is under warranty, Camping World has refused to honor the claim, stating that a grounding wire was pinched. A pinched grounding wire would not have caused the fire, yet they still denied coverage. This has been a very frustrating experience, especially considering the camper is practically brand new. First and foremost, it's absolutely insane that you must check in and provide your ID to even look at a trailer, then wait while they scramble around to find a sales person for you. I will never ever buy an RV from this dealership ever again for the rest of my life. The list of reasons is too long to even list in a review here, but let's start with the most serious issues: Unsanitary pre-delivery inspection (if they even did an inspection, which I doubt). In a nutshell, they sold us an RV with both gray water tanks half full. I asked them if they were going to do something about that and they just ignored me. By the time we got home it was already stinking like someone else's wastewater. Since we don't have a way to remove it at home, we had to bring the RV all the way to Utah in unsanitary conditions. What's more worrisome is that this RV had been at the dealership for several weeks. Whose graywater is this? What is actually in there? Is this the standard for this dealer? Do they deliver all RVs with graywater tanks halfway full? I asked around and was told this is not supposed to happen. And then there's all of their exaggerated sales pitches so you'll buy their extra services packages. $2500 extras package? Where is it all at? Oh, is that the $200 of useless electrical cables that they gave us that we can't even use? What's even more concerning is that we asked if we could have that extras package removed and not purchase it and they told us no, it's mandatory. But when I called to ask where the extras are we purchased, they said that was optional and it's actually a services package to get the trailer ready for sale. Oh really. So why was I told her it's not optional when I asked what this $2500 was and if we could remove it from the purchase? And if we paid $2500 to get the trailer ready, why are the gray water tanks full?? It had other major issues, none of which they never told us about. We were never given an explanation about existing problems and they weren't listed in any of the documentation that we received. For example, several of the door locks are broken, we were never told about that. When I called and asked if they could do something about the problems it had when they sold it to us, they said "it depends". Then they conveniently forgot to call us back about about it. Their cleaning of the outside was completely subpar. Spiderwebs all over the place. They left locks hanging from the bottom that we don't have keys to. And they left the previous owners, mattresses and blankets in the RV for us to clean out!! who wants an RV that has the previous owners crap in it??? NOT ME. And then there's the lies they told us so we would buy maintenance packages. "it's going to be cheaper with maintenance package than a maintenance package." B.S. How can it our payment go down if we add a maintenance package. They simply said, "that's just to way it easy". Make it make sense. At this point, even Donald Trump seems honest compared to this dealership. I'm never going back here again, and I would recommend that everyone stay away from this dealer. And if you want pictures of all these these problems, I'll be glad to post them. In fact, I'll do that. I'll give them a couple days to reach out to and see if they can fix the crap they sold me first. Very disappointing first experience with an RV dealer. read more

Seriously, considering purchasing a new camper van. I have done my preliminary research, joined Facebook women's group dedicated to "RV life" and now I decided to get concrete information from a "reputable" RV dealer, assuming I would get expert advice based on my personal intentions for this RV. After I checked in, I was assigned a (disengaged) salesman, who evidently had no idea of camper vans; I provided him with my six figure budget. He walked me over to the only two that were in the lot and opened the doors as if to say "here you go". I understood that this is a nationwide retailer and I wasn't planning on driving off the lot that day with the van however I did expect for the sales person to ask me probing questions about what my lifestyle in order to align me with the features I would need (would I be using this just for weekends or longer term trips, how many people to accommodate...). I received absolutely no professional information or advice. I asked him to tell me about the vans and the differences between the two that were in front of us. He proceeded to say this one has a bathroom this one doesn't, I asked him about the length of the vans to which he stood back and did a guesstimate, he made no effort to discuss, water tanks, batteries/solar, toilets...At that point I was done. As I walked back to my car, he informed me that if I see anything online, just grab the invoice number and he would be able to sell it to me. I left feeling disregarded and knew I would not make any purchases involving this company; I also shared my experiences with the RV groups I'm involved with. This weekend, I checked out the California Overland show and was blown away by the wealth of information I received, so much so that I have the resources I need to make an educated decision and purchase a camper van by September 2025. Looked at a Winnebago 2108 trailer. Noticed a few things wrong right away but it's a used trailer. Come to find out it was not even ready to go even after I verified and asked multiple times on the phone if trailer was ready to go and pick up today. Did not want to make multiple trips. They could not verify the 12v system since there were no batteries and I would have to buy them first before they could verify the 12v system. It's called a jumper box or any 12v power supply to check the system. This is the 2nd camping world we have visited and both are so disorganized. Why is customer service so bad these days? There is a reason a Facebook page called "camping works s**ks" and now we know why. 100k+ members with horrible stories are not wrong about this place. read more

I've never had to have any repairs done at this Camping World, knock on wood. We have, however, had trailer brakes put in a couple of our vehicles through the service center here. They did a good job and communicated well before and after the job was complete. Mostly, though, we come here to stock up on items for our camper trailer. There is an older guy who works here who doesn't get around really well, but still goes to great lengths to make you feel welcome and to help patrons find random items. The younger female employees are not particularly helpful. Instead, they are no non-sense and just want to get you out as soon as possible it seems. Returning items with their 90-day policy is a breeze. Just make sure to keep your receipt. Located off the I-5, but kind of a pain in the rear to get to with all the wretched, never-ending road construction. read more
