I am pleased to provide this formal review and recommendation for Camping World based on my recent RV purchasing experience. This was my second RV purchase from Camping World, and both experiences have been highly positive. After spending more than a year searching for the right RV, I visited the Camping World location in La Mirada and spoke with Landre, a sales representative, about the specific model I was interested in purchasing. Landre took his time with me and listen to all of my questions and wants and Landre was able to locate the exact RV I wanted at another Camping World location in Florida and, together with the management team, clearly explained the process for completing an out-of-state purchase. Corey, the manager, also took the time to discuss the purchase with me in detail. I especially appreciated that the entire process was handled professionally and without any pressure to buy. A few days later, I traveled to the Florida location, where I was warmly welcomed and assisted throughout the remainder of the process. I completed a walkthrough and test drive of the RV to ensure it was the right choice for me. Although I do not recall the name of the representative who assisted me in Florida, she was awesome and also very helpful, courteous, and professional. Overall, my experience with Camping World was excellent from beginning to end. Based on the quality of service, clear communication, and professional support I received, I would confidently recommend Camping World to anyone considering the purchase of an RV. read more

Looking for a trailer receiver reducer. First area I looked at no deals. Then after searching a bit longer I found everything I needed. A lot of people at the front counter, but seemed to be very busy in their conversations. It has been awhile since I have been here, I would shop here when I had my RV. But I would have to say it has changed alot and the selection of items seems a lot less. read more

Watch out, don't trust anything they they say They lied to me about making sure that camper van was gone through inside and out and they charge you for this When I got it, the gray water tank was 98% full and the black water tank 50% full. The sink sinks were dirty. They didn't change out older battery and when they delivered it to me, it had a leak in the propane system. I've had it back there for weeks now during the prime time to use your camper van to go camping and they're just sitting on it so I'm gonna have to go get it and have it fix someplace else read more

Camping World. Over the weekend, I purchased a sale item for my motorhome, but unfortunately it didn't fit. I returned to the store shortly after to exchange it for the same item in a different size. From the moment I approached the register, the cashier (ID #013191, no name provided) had an unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude. Her demeanor alone made the experience uncomfortable. When she processed the exchange, I was told I had to pay a price difference because the sale had ended. I understand policies, but this was a direct exchange for the exact same item--just a different size. A little flexibility or customer consideration would have gone a long way. She offered to ask a manager who was standing just a few feet away, but he completely ignored the situation and walked off without acknowledging us. That lack of support and accountability was extremely frustrating. At that point, I chose to request a full refund. I refuse to spend money at a business that lacks basic customer service and proper employee training--from cashier to management. It's especially disappointing considering my husband pays for a premium membership, only to receive this level of service. Overall, this experience felt dismissive, unprofessional, and not customer-focused. I hope the company takes steps to improve both staff training and customer care. read more

My name is Rick S; I am writing to let people know what a great experience my wife and I had with this entire staff at this particular Camping World. We live in Chandler, AZ. We had previously completed quite a bit of research and the found the trailer we were looking for at this location online. We were not able to go see it in person at this pint due to our work schedule, etc. On a Sunday over the phone two friendly salesmen took the time to personally go out to the trailer a visually inspect it up close, sending us request close up photos of the roof, inside the trailer, weight specs and answered all our questions. We then were confident enough to be able to start the pre-paperwork process that afternoon as we did not want to lose this one, as it was just what we were looking for. That next week over the phone we worked with Mario, the Service Manager who was inspecting the trailer to get ready for us the following Saturday for a possible delivery once we inspected it in person. He was very genuine and honest in replying with our questions and concerns over the phone. He personally had the tires checked for the year they were made, as he was not sure when they were originally put on, and let us know they really should be replaced due to dry/rot, aging before we took a road trip back to AZ in the 110-degree heat. This could have discouraged some, knowing it now needed 4 tires, but we were glad he was honest, so we didn't have issues with bad tires down the road. We also choose to have them install a weight distribution hitch which was worth every penny although this would be extra out of our pocket. The Sales Manager Roberto Chavez was outstanding and stepped in, working closely with their Service manager and the Parts Manager to provide the best deals they could offer with the parts and labor for all of this, so that it was not too much for us out of pocket. There were some hiccups and miscommunications with some of the pricing and items along the way in getting all this completed, but the bottom line is they adjusted things and were quick to make everything right. Everyone worked together to make this a seamless transaction even with this transaction being a whole state away at the time while communicating over the phone, and not personally being able to view the trailer yet. It was also the little things, like them being a little behind on the day we arrived, and them handing us a gift card for things we needed for the trailer for our having to wait a little longer that day for our walk-thru. We then had a lengthy detailed walk-thru of the trailer inside and out with Manuel who is a tech there, and showed us how everything worked. He answered all of our questions and spent the time to make sure everything was ready for our trip home and that everything was what we had expected. He was very patient and kind and very knowledgeable. True Service and Integrity are hard to find these days. This all, could not have been a better experience. We then were able to complete the financing with Ryan, the Finance Manager. He held to their original quotes and made things right ahead of time, due to no fault of their own on some of the financing issues. There were no hidden fees or surprises once we sat down to sign the paperwork. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. By the way, some may be thinking maybe this was a large purchase amount like 35k-80k with plenty of room for them to be this thoughtful or help out. It was not. It is a smaller used trailer with the sale "as is" for the most part, and they still treated us very fairly with the upmost integrity. I would highly recommend them to anyone. To be honest I wish buying a car was like this, but it's usually not. We are very happy with our purchase and would buy from them again in the future. read more

Our family loves going here. Nice selection of camping products. They even sell the RVs and trailers there now. The staff is great! The new GM seems to be doing great as the sales team is really nice and friendly. Make sure you go check this location out before you buy an RV! Very competitive pricing. We love ours! read more

There is no customer service there They are quick to take your money and then they turn there back on you They do not return phone calls and they do not listen when you have a problem. I paid cash for a brand new Jayco RV and never again would I buy it from them. If you want a,good experience go some where else. read more

Buyers beware. We went to see a Lance 285 unit whose price was too good to be true. It has a mildew smell, and when we requested to do a private inspection, we were told that they would allow it, but that they would not let the inspector hook the unit up to electrical or water to test those systems. I followed up asking why they would refuse to allow us to independently test the basic features of the unit and no one responded. They most certainly know there is costly water damage to this trailer. They also would not provide a list of what was included in their $1,995 "let's go camping" package they try to sell you. Very shady. Would not purchase from this location. read more

Very disappointing experience. We agreed on a down payment, paid it the same day, shook hands, signed the initial paperwork, were congratulated on our purchase, and were told to pick up our trailer the following weekend. We even activated insurance because we were told it needed to be in place before pickup. Then, on the day of pickup, the finance manager called and said we needed a larger down payment than what had already been agreed upon. We even offered to pay the additional amount if they could give us one more week, but they refused. Changing the terms at the last minute after we had already reached an agreement is unprofessional. We ended up purchasing from another dealership, where they honored their deal and got us into a new trailer that same week. Looking back, I'm glad Camping World lost our business. --To make matters worse, I noticed they still have the same trailer listed for sale--now at a lower price than when we tried to purchase it. read more

I've had the worst experience with camping world from the time they close me on a deal. I bought a travel trailer not even two weeks of being Brand New took it out to my first trip had major electrical issues called camping world immediately they were not able to accommodate for my need and dropping off the travel trailer immediately. Instead, they told me I had to drop it off at a convenient time for them inconvenient for my hours of schedule, which I had to lose the day of work to drop it off upon drop off. They told me they would call me a day after to give me an update. It has been six days every time I attempt to call them. They do not answer. they ignore my calls. I am not pleased whatsoever, please do not buy a trailer from them it's the worst experience ever read more

You say my feedback is invaluable to you guys but yet you don't offer any solutions. A simple letter stating that a purchase wasn't made will solve the issue. What's so hard about writing that so that the insurance company can refund me the acquired charges? As the yelp community reads this review, save your money and don't shop at this location. It's crystal clear how management handles problems in a horrible manner. Here's the definition of Invaluable: describes something extremely useful, important, or valuable beyond estimation. It means the worth of a person, object, or service is so high it cannot be calculated or replaced, essentially making it priceless. read more

I will never ever buy an RV from this dealership ever again for the rest of my life. The list of reasons is too long to even list in a review here, but let's start with the most serious issues: Unsanitary pre-delivery inspection (if they even did an inspection, which I doubt). In a nutshell, they sold us an RV with both gray water tanks half full. I asked them if they were going to do something about that and they just ignored me. By the time we got home it was already stinking like someone else's wastewater. Since we don't have a way to remove it at home, we had to bring the RV all the way to Utah in unsanitary conditions. What's more worrisome is that this RV had been at the dealership for several weeks. Whose graywater is this? What is actually in there? Is this the standard for this dealer? Do they deliver all RVs with graywater tanks halfway full? I asked around and was told this is not supposed to happen. And then there's all of their exaggerated sales pitches so you'll buy their extra services packages. $2500 extras package? Where is it all at? Oh, is that the $200 of useless electrical cables that they gave us that we can't even use? What's even more concerning is that we asked if we could have that extras package removed and not purchase it and they told us no, it's mandatory. But when I called to ask where the extras are we purchased, they said that was optional and it's actually a services package to get the trailer ready for sale. Oh really. So why was I told her it's not optional when I asked what this $2500 was and if we could remove it from the purchase? And if we paid $2500 to get the trailer ready, why are the gray water tanks full?? It had other major issues, none of which they never told us about. We were never given an explanation about existing problems and they weren't listed in any of the documentation that we received. For example, several of the door locks are broken, we were never told about that. When I called and asked if they could do something about the problems it had when they sold it to us, they said "it depends". Then they conveniently forgot to call us back about about it. Their cleaning of the outside was completely subpar. Spiderwebs all over the place. They left locks hanging from the bottom that we don't have keys to. And they left the previous owners, mattresses and blankets in the RV for us to clean out!! who wants an RV that has the previous owners crap in it??? NOT ME. And then there's the lies they told us so we would buy maintenance packages. "it's going to be cheaper with maintenance package than a maintenance package." B.S. How can it our payment go down if we add a maintenance package. They simply said, "that's just to way it easy". Make it make sense. At this point, even Donald Trump seems honest compared to this dealership. I'm never going back here again, and I would recommend that everyone stay away from this dealer. And if you want pictures of all these these problems, I'll be glad to post them. In fact, I'll do that. I'll give them a couple days to reach out to and see if they can fix the crap they sold me first. Very disappointing first experience with an RV dealer. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Camping World in La Mirada. We purchased a camper there less than a month ago, and it has never even been used. While simply moving the trailer, a small fire occurred because the retention strap had cut into the wire insulation. Although the trailer is under warranty, Camping World has refused to honor the claim, stating that a grounding wire was pinched. A pinched grounding wire would not have caused the fire, yet they still denied coverage. This has been a very frustrating experience, especially considering the camper is practically brand new. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be purchasing from them again. read more

My experience at Camping World in La Mirada started off shaky, but ended excellent!! I contacted the parts department via telephone regarding my recent in store purchase. I was looking for guidance on how to receive a price adjustment. The parts employee was not professional, seemed bothered and ultimately hung up on me. I am not typically a complainer, however felt it was important to share my experience/concern with Camping World Management. Store manager Candy, along with her supervisors were absolutely wonderful, attentive, ethical, professional and addressed my concerns related to my customer service experience. I would absolutely recommend Camping World in La Mirada for those looking for a business where the customer is valued and they strive to improve their employees communication skills. Thanks Candy!!! read more

Avoid Camping World if you value your time and money. I went in ready to buy an RV and was met with misleading pricing, hidden fees, and completely unprofessional service. The unit was advertised at one price online, but once I arrived, thousands of dollars in "prep" and other fees suddenly appeared. So much for their "no hidden fees" slogan--it's flat-out misleading. The General Manager, Bob Myers, was no help at all. Instead of addressing the issue, he passed me off to an unprepared salesperson and disappeared, leaving me waiting with zero communication. That's not just poor service--it's disrespectful. To top it off, they tried to pressure me into putting down a large deposit before honoring the price they claimed they could meet. The whole experience felt like a bait-and-switch with constant pressure tactics. Take your business elsewhere. This place does not operate with transparency or professionalism. read more

This store is very unorganized. Dysfunction junction. Customer service is rude salesman Guillermo was making rude comments to customers who leave without a sale, making rude comments to staff, walking around like he owned the place, computers not working, no seemed to know what is going on. They didn't know prices on certain trailers. The process is way to long to purchase an RV. Some of the isles are not handicap wheelchair accessible but one employee felt privileged enough to park his motorcycle in the walkway by the new trailers my friend in a wheelchair could barely fit without hitting the wall. I told the manager he said yeah Guillermo is always rude I am always talking to him. Cheez get control of your store. It was like everyone is running around not knowing what each other was supposed to do. Very disappointed in the experience. I did ask customer service at the corporate level to have the district manager call me, still no call. read more

This place is a big time "no thank you" for us. First and foremost, it's absolutely insane that you must check in and provide your ID to even look at a trailer, then wait while they scramble around to find a sales person for you. Second, the sales people here are not knowledgeable, and have no experience with RV's, it was actually quite comical to educate them. Lastly, the hidden fees, and ridiculous add on's they try to package up are such crap and very off putting. If you've never purchased an rv, please do your homework before getting wrapped up in this mess. read more

If you bring your vehicle/trailer to sell and for some reason Jason recommends you to a person named Charley from Montclair RV & Autos. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM! Absolute nightmare. Your typical pushy sleazy salesman. I TOLD HIM BEFORE BUYING MY TRAILER WHAT I NEEDED AND THEN GHOSTS ME! Seriously, considering purchasing a new camper van. I have done my preliminary research, joined Facebook women's group dedicated to "RV life" and now I decided to get concrete information from a "reputable" RV dealer, assuming I would get expert advice based on my personal intentions for this RV. After I checked in, I was assigned a (disengaged) salesman, who evidently had no idea of camper vans; I provided him with my six figure budget. He walked me over to the only two that were in the lot and opened the doors as if to say "here you go". I understood that this is a nationwide retailer and I wasn't planning on driving off the lot that day with the van however I did expect for the sales person to ask me probing questions about what my lifestyle in order to align me with the features I would need (would I be using this just for weekends or longer term trips, how many people to accommodate...). I received absolutely no professional information or advice. I asked him to tell me about the vans and the differences between the two that were in front of us. He proceeded to say this one has a bathroom this one doesn't, I asked him about the length of the vans to which he stood back and did a guesstimate, he made no effort to discuss, water tanks, batteries/solar, toilets...At that point I was done. As I walked back to my car, he informed me that if I see anything online, just grab the invoice number and he would be able to sell it to me. I left feeling disregarded and knew I would not make any purchases involving this company; I also shared my experiences with the RV groups I'm involved with. This weekend, I checked out the California Overland show and was blown away by the wealth of information I received, so much so that I have the resources I need to make an educated decision and purchase a camper van by September 2025. I now can see why Camping World has a very low rating. read more

Looked at a Winnebago 2108 trailer. Noticed a few things wrong right away but it's a used trailer. Come to find out it was not even ready to go even after I verified and asked multiple times on the phone if trailer was ready to go and pick up today. Did not want to make multiple trips. They could not verify the 12v system since there were no batteries and I would have to buy them first before they could verify the 12v system. It's called a jumper box or any 12v power supply to check the system. This is the 2nd camping world we have visited and both are so disorganized. Why is customer service so bad these days? There is a reason a Facebook page called "camping works s**ks" and now we know why. 100k+ members with horrible stories are not wrong about this place. read more

About 3 weeks ago we went in to look at some RV's, while we were there the salesmen seemed helpful.
