That kind of straightforwardness is rare and it made a real difference in how much I trust them. But here's what really impressed me: they caught a factory recall on my Shimano crank power meter and offered to replace it without charging me a dime. Most shops would've either missed it or found a way to bill me for the service. Not Trek. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of, no cost to me. On August 11, Dorothy informed me that the bike was built and essentially ready to go, except that they were waiting on one part from Orbea/Avinox that I was told Brian had personally ordered. More than a month later, on September 14 at approximately 1:00 PM, I received a text from Raul telling me that my bike was completely finished and ready for pickup. Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was absolutely no proper delivery or setup process for a high-end e-bike of this complexity. Nobody walked me through the Avinox system or helped me sync and set up the bike with my phone, even though the Orbea Wild with the Avinox system must be properly connected and configured before use. Nobody adjusted the suspension for my weight, and there was no indication that the bike had received a proper final setup, safety inspection, or test ride. When I attempted to ride the bike for the first time, I discovered numerous problems that should have been identified before I was ever told the bike was finished and ready for pickup. The front fork had only approximately 50 PSI in it, while the HSC, LSC, and rebound settings were turned to their highest settings. The rear shock also had the rebound and LSC turned all the way to maximum. The RockShox hose clamp that secures the front brake line was missing. The front fender I had ordered was also missing, despite the bike having sat at The Path for approximately six weeks. Even more concerning, the rear derailleur was not functioning properly. Not all gears could be used, and the drivetrain was extremely noisy. None of the batteries on the bike were charged above approximately 30%. Most seriously, the brakes did not appear to have been properly bled. The brake levers could be pulled almost completely to the handlebars. Delivering a new e-MTB to a customer in that condition raises a serious safety concern. What makes this situation even more frustrating is the reason I was given for the six-week delay. Brian and Dorothy repeatedly told me they were waiting for a specific part. Eventually, I sourced the required part directly from TRP myself. I ordered it and had it delivered to my home within two days. I then personally brought the part to The Path on September 13 so the build could finally be completed. Based on that experience, I have serious concerns about whether the part I was repeatedly told had been ordered was actually ordered or actively being pursued. Had I not located and purchased the part myself, I have no reason to believe my bike would have been completed when it was. This was not an inexpensive bicycle or a simple build. A 2027 Orbea Wild equipped with the Avinox system is a sophisticated, high-performance e-MTB, and I expected a professional build, proper suspension setup, functioning drivetrain, properly bled brakes, charged batteries, installation of the parts I ordered, a complete Avinox setup, and a final safety inspection before the bike was handed over to me. Instead, after waiting more than six weeks, I was told the bike was "finished" and "ready for pickup" when it clearly was not properly set up, inspected, or prepared to be ridden. For a shop with The Path's reputation and experience, this level of service and quality control is unacceptable. My biggest concern is not simply the delays or missing parts--it is that I was handed a brand-new e-bike with multiple setup problems and potentially serious safety issues and was told it was complete. Got my JetBoil five years ago and after less than a dozen uses, it finally time to buy a new fuel…read morecanister. The sign on the shelf for 4oz and 8oz ISO did not specify which brand so I asked a friendly associate. I didn't know that JetBoil branded isobutane canister can be used for MSR and vice versa. Cool beans! Also, the 8oz is a better deal than the 4oz and the only disadvantage is that it won't fit inside the JetBoil pot. The cashier asked if I want to apply some past credit I forgot about which brought the total expense even less! While there, I checked out the latest trail running footwear which I am due to be acquiring as well! Came in the middle of the week at 3pm and very few shoppers.

EVA and manager AARON falsely accused me of returning the wrong item, even though the item matched my REI account, app, original tags, barcode, and product details. They made this accusation in front of my family and other customers, which was very embarrassing. I asked them a simple question: "What exactly is different?" They refused to answer. That tells me they had no real answer. They accused me first, then avoided explaining their own accusation. While EVA was still processing the return, AARON told me to leave and threatened security for no valid reason. After all that, they still processed the return. So the item was correct all along. This was a false accusation, poor judgment, zero accountability, and terrible management. REI leadership should review this incident seriously.

Nate and Don at Jax Bicycle Center are the definition of professionalism and kindness…read more Nate provided me with a replacement 288 mm spoke for my bike and said, "Try this. If it doesn't turn out to be the right one, come back with the wheel and we'll get you squared away." It ended up not being the correct spoke, so I returned the next day. Don took care of me, found the correct replacement spoke, and removed my threaded freewheel using the proper freewheel removal tool so I could lace the new spoke into the drive side of my rear wheel. They didn't just sell me parts--they took the time to help me learn and get my bike back on the road. These guys perform a real service to the community. I'm working on lowering my blood pressure and getting healthier, and because of their help I was able to get back on my bike. Today my boys and I rode 6 miles on the trails, and that wouldn't have happened without Nate and Don. My boys say a big thank you because Dad can take them biking again. Thank you both for your professionalism, generosity, and willingness to help. Shops like Jax Bicycle Center make our community healthier, happier, and more connected. Keep up the great work!

My problem was that they sold the bike I was on the way to pick up AND then told me they had another one, made me wait an hour for it, only to discover it was the wrong bike. 2) Either the staff is lying through their teeth or the owner is but no one sent any email. I've double checked my inbox/junk etc. and ABSOLUTELY nothing was offered to "make it right" other than a shrug from the manager. By all means, let me know what free accessories I was offered so I can return the stuff I bought full price at the Laguna Niguel location. I can come pick it up anytime

I took it here and we always work out whatever problem there is there's lots of parts lots of great deals lots of bargains from E bikes to BMX bike parts to bike parts to E bikes again this is truly an old-fashioned down to earth family bike shop. The man is always trying to be his best to take care of each and every customer he'll bend over backwards and go that extra mile to make sure you got what you need and you're taken care of his prices are extremely fair. He is definitely not out to make a dollar and he's not out to just get people for their money. It reminds me when I was younger the old-fashioned bike shops he can go in there and get what you needed and you actually had a good time how you recommend this place to everyone he does not have a lot of employees yet he still takes care of everyone and I see he has a good amount of business I would say and that's good.
