Man, this place takes me back to high school, back when Quickly locations were plentiful and it was easy to get a boba drink and popcorn chicken for under $10. Happy to find that things haven't changed at this spot! There's very little parking in the plaza, so if you're lucky, you'll get one of the two spots up front designated for Quickly. Otherwise, find a spot off street parking. It's also still to go inside, so no hanging about with your food and drink. Cash only and no bills larger than $20. We ordered popcorn chicken ($5.90, listed on their menu as fried chicken), regular size almond milk tea at 50% sweet with boba ($2.50 plus 75 cents for boba), and large size jasmine milk tea at 50% sweet with boba ($2.50 plus 75 cents for boba and 50 cents for larger size). Since the drinks were at 50% sweet, they were slightly watered down. Still good though! Boba was soft and chewy. The real star was the popcorn chicken! It wasn't fatty nor tendon-y like other boba shops we've ordered at. It was crisp and hot and a great value at a price we don't see anymore. It's a very small business operated by mom and Pop franchise owner. However, that doesn't give them the reason to be rude to their customer or being impatient to their customer because treating human is kind of the baseline of just interaction. I've been usually going to this place for the last 10 years and it is a home staple for me however, the quality have been going downhill in the recent years. I tried to look past it for the fact that it's a place that is my go to however, their selections are decreasing, and the quality of the food is also diminishing. They often run out of supplies or don't have the food or they only have alternative food, which isn't the ones that you want on the menu. There isn't really a sitting place dining place in there it's mostly made to go. The environment is very dirty. They don't really upkeep the environment and definitely do not sanitize high touch points. The owner makes the food, but also takes cash and coins with the same hands. I have never seen him wash his hands or seeing available hand sanitizer around the area. It is quite concerning and after the last interaction I had of getting yelled at by the cashier for asking question because I couldn't understand what they were saying due to their heavy accent I have vowed that I will not come back here again because there are other quickly around the area with friendly or franchise owner that actually would love to take my business And they are only five minutes away. read more

i've been to quickly on several occasions, but this specific location was the worst experience i've had. the old guy in the front was extremely rude when all i asked was if they had a specific item on the menu. i've ordered this at other locations, so i was unsure if it's the same as other locations and wanted to confirm. instead of giving a simple yes or no, he was rude and gave attitude talking like i'm stupid. if i could give 0 stars, i would. i will recommend to go to the one in monterey park instead. read more

Still the BEST popcorn chicken available! Juicy, spicy, fried to perfection not to mention those pieces of fried basil are delicious. I keep coming back just for the popcorn chicken. I don't understand why other places do not include fried basil which elevates the dish and why other places are unable to make it spicy when I asked for the maximum spice level. This quickly location is open pretty late at night which is great if you want some late night boba and it's cheap. I got one milk tea with boba and cost $3.30 which is really cheap. The size was a small size but still relatively cheap compared to most places and the milk tea is average. The boba itself is also average. There is nothing special about the drink itself it is just like any other boba place you would go except it is cheaper than most places. The store is run down and old and ran by an elderly asian couple. The service is quick as I usually get my drink less than 5 minutes after ordering. read more

I didn't want to write a review because I want to keep this particular Quickly a secret! It's a small mom & pop style boba shop even though they got stores around the world. It's not the best tasting milk tea or green tea but provide excellent value! I bought 3 large drinks for $6. Sometimes I don't care too much and want some basic green tea or milk tea and they give me what I want. The place has been almost the same for a decade or two. The food is basic Taiwanese minced meat rice and its delicious and cheap! I come here all the time, especially when I don't really know what I want. Would give 3 and a half stars but I feel bad so I am rounding it. Decided to give this place a try since I was nearby! There's a sign that says 98 cents boba milk tea but that is NOT true. The boba milk tea is actually $1.50 for a small, and $2.05 for a large. I also got a Wintermelon Juice for 98 cents. There is also regular black iced tea for the same price. The boba is chewy and the milk tea is a bit flavorless(it may have been sitting for awhile or either they did not add enough sugar) but I mean you get what you pay for right! Quicklys is like the original equivalent of a Starbucks. Its on "almost" every corner of a neighborhood near you. There are tons of different private ownership of these establishments. This one on San Gabriel Blvd is in my favor for the best one around. It's a bit beat up looking, yes from being around when orbit was the hit spot for Pokemon cards in 1999 and 2000. Not sure if it's been around longer. Anyways. This place holds very dear to me on terms of affordable milk tea and great food for an inexpensive price. 6.50 for a popcorn chicken rice combo with a free drink of black tea or I forgot the other (2018 current price). The food is tastier in my opinion compared to the Alhambra location near the wendys on Las tunas. Also they don't pack your Togo in a styrofoam container. The chicken is alot crispier and more seasoned. The pickled veggies is the winner with fried tofu and the rice with the minced pork and green beans, along with the tea egg. I've managed to come here budgeting for a filling meal for under 7 bucks and can't complain. It's always filling and VERY tasty but also inexpensive. Call ahead for orders or just show up. This quickly's location is next to the car mechanic place, near the supermarket and BMC. It is very small in comparison to the locations in Temple City and Arcadia, literally has about 4 tables. The interior looks sorta run-down and they have a shelf with some old volumes of Naruto manga, very og. Parking depending on the time, can be hard to find because of the small lot, they do however have two spots reserved for their to-go orders/ pickup customers. Service here is sorta slow because they only have one to two people working which is usually the owner and cashier. I'm not a fan of their boba/tea but their snack foods taste great!! How did this place earn 3.5 stars? The service is just terrible! They're rude and take forever preparing your order. The food tastes disgusting. To top it off, every time I order food at this location, I always end up getting sick! Looking for a $5 meal, I decided to try Quickly. It was not a good choice. First of all, the cleanliness of this place was highly questionable. The corners and lower part of the walls were marked grey and black with dirt. The wooden table I sat at was worn, scratched and scuffed. The chair I sat in waiting for my food was wobbly and uneven. I wanted to get out as soon as possible. I ordered popcorn chicken rice, which came with ground meat topped rice, a boiled egg, fried tofu and popcorn chicken. It was $5 and came with a choice of drink. I generally like fried foods, but this fried chicken was not very crispy and tasted overly fried and hard. I've definitely had better for the same price. Included in the price of the rice dish, I chose milk tea with boba. The milk tea was not bad, but the boba was pretty gross. Old, soggy, overbooked boba. Bang for the buck! Where else can you get a large jasmine milk tea with boba for $3.27? Nowadays all boba drinks cost about $5-7 elsewhere. Waiter took his sweet time. We're trying to order and he would look away several times mid-order and talk to the other employee. Kinda rude, eh? We were virtually the only ones there, but the wait seemed like FOREVER. In the end, it wasn't worth it. The food didn't taste bad necessarily, but it was WEIRD with a capital 'W' So our fried combination? Good flavor, but texture-wise? Or was it squid... ? Now my chicken curry rice, that's where it gets really weird. The side dish was fried tofu (uber crispy, fyi) with a pickled vegetable in sauce. Who serves food like this? And why ruin the texture of a fried food by drowning it with sauce? Buffalo wings is an exception, but this is not. Again, it wasn't terrible tasting. It was just weird. As for the entree (the chicken curry itself), it was POPCORN-FREAKING-CHICKEN in a dark-colored "curry" sauce with what vaguely looked like carrots and potatoes. It did not look delicious, nor did it taste delicious. It was bland. The only good thing is that it was super cheap, but this is always the case with Quickly. Other things to know: super small, borderline cubical. They have two parking spots of their own. Will not come here again. In summary... my advice?
