Located in the SG Super Store! I usually don't opt for boba places inside super markets, but my eye was immediately caught by the wide variety of drinks that they had there. I can't comment on how good the milk teas or slushies are, but I can say that their Viet drinks are pretty good (the staff are Viet as I ordered in my rusty Vietnamese). I got their Pennywort Mung Bean smoothie, large size (extra 50 cents to upsize). They have a stamp card and you can request any sugar adjustments too. Drink came out decently quickly and was the perfect mix of mung bean and pennywort without being too icy. The sweetness adjustment was perfect as you can taste the freshness of the pennywort and the mung bean flavor quite well too. Not bad, but just keep in mind, just because it's in a supermarket doesn't make it any cheaper. It's around the same price you'd pay for a standalone boba place. read more

My boyfriend and I came to the supermarket after eating AYCE KBBQ and needed to walk it off and upon arriving at this supermarket on a Sunday it wasn't busy at all and parking was very easy to find but also we parked really close to the market. when my boyfriend and I ordered there was only one person working and he greeted us and asked to wait a little and I was like honestly take your time I have no where else to be but even if I did , no worries. He was making 8 drinks on his own and honestly PROPS to him because I can tell although there was a line ( only me and the person behind us) he didn't feel flustered and took his time making the drinks , that to me shows that he's taking his time in making the drinks right. And when he was done he said sorry for wasting your time what can I get you . Very sweet. We ordered a large penny worth drink and a large sugar cane drink for $13. Both drink was refreshing considering it was a hot day but I wish the penny worth was a little more sweeter. There's no seatings considering it's inside the supermarket but as we were walking there's this area where I believe used to be a food court but not anymore ? And there are plenty of seats there, I'm pretty sure you can sit there but we didn't. Would come here again if I'm at the supermarket. ALSO , CASH only and CARD but they charge $1 if it's under $20. Boba Corner is inside the S. G. Superstore at the corner of San Gabriel Blvd. and Valley Blvd. The market is inside a medium to large sized strip mall. The mall is almost always very crowded. Parking can be hard to find, but you can usually get a spot if you are patient. The lot and area are not that great. Many times there are homeless people outside of the market pan handeling. As other reviewers have said, there are better tea places elsewhere in San Gabriel, but if you are shopping at this market or just happen to be in the area and want a drink, then this is not a bad place to stop. On our visit there was just one older lady working (taking orders and making drinks). However, she was trilingual (Cantonese, Mandarin, and English). She was friendly and efficient. We got a strawberry slushie and a standard boba milk tea. All the drinks were about $4.25-5.50 on our visit (see menu pics, some with prices). The slushie was not too sweet, but was a lot sweeter than the tea. The quality of both was ok. The bobas were medium cooked (not mushy and not hard), so depends on your preference for how you like these and how consistent they are making it here. Tips: (1) If they are busy and you order a drink, stay and wait for it to be prepared. On our visit, several people ordered and left and our drink was made first while we waited. Many people may order and go shopping and come back later. So if you want your drink faster, stay and wait for it. On the whole, the current 3.5 star Yelp average is about right. We gave 4 stars cause we had a good visit and their product was fine. If in the area or shopping here, then give these guys a try if you want a boba or other drink. read more

Soukay. Mostly came after shopping at the market and it was middle of the heat wave 100F every single day and needed a refresher. My mom got the ice milk tea w boba and I got the Super Fresh Lemon Honey Green tea which was $5.75. The lemon one was good but not something I'd come back for specifically. Nice lady behind counter. Literally the most average place that you can satisfy your craving. Located in the San Gabriel superstore food court. The prices are quite cheap compared to competitors outside of the establishment. They have all the basics and a few specialties of their own. I would sometimes stop by here for a quick fix if I was really craving something. They also sell some snacks like tea eggs, if you aren't looking for anything in the food court. read more

I love Taro Milk Tea boba and it's semi-bias to judge a boba shop by just one flavor but Boba Corner is the best boba shop, at least in this shop plaza. The Boba Corner is located in the super market inside and it's more of a get-your-drink-and-go-shopping type of boba shop. I got a large taro milk tea boba for only $4.25 and the first thing that I always look for is the color. If it's purple then it's already winning. Afterwards it's all about the taste. The taro flavor was super aromatic and the milk tea was creamy. I had to wait for the ice to thaw a little bit to ease the intensity of the drink because it was too delicious. This place isn't really that bad for how much they charge for drink. It's very old school and honestly sometimes I stop by here after grocery shopping for the nostalgia factor. It doesn't compare to other boba places in the area but it's been around for god knows how long in the same spot and the same supermarket. I'm rating this off on just one drink only, their strawberry milk tea. It's so yummy! Most tea houses either don't make strawberry milk tea or don't make it very good. It is good here and I like that it's actually pink and I can see pieces of strawberries and it tastes like strawberries. I can't speak for their other offerings since I've never ordered anything else here. My sister likes their jasmine milk tea which is her go-to drink here. Prices are decent and the amount they give you is pretty good too. Usually when we go it's not busy so I really hope it stays around since it's the only milk tea spot in the SG area that makes strawberry milk tea good. There is usually plenty of parking. The only sucky thing about this parking lot is those lazy, inconsiderate people that likes to leave carts next to other people cars. My car side mirror got scratched up pretty badly here by a man forcing his cart through. I was in the car when it happened and he flat out denied it. Located inside the San Gabriel Superstore and Cash Only! I went here recently because I had a craving for an Avocado Smoothie. So sweet and creamy! Its pretty hard to find an Avocado Smoothie in regular Boba shops, they usually have milk teas and more "normal" types of fruit like strawberry or peach. To get an Avocado Smoothie you usually have to go to Vietnamese place to get it. Another favorite to get is the Durian Smoothie! I am one of the weirdos who love the taste of durian. If you don't know what it is I don't recommend trying it... its a "pungent" fruit. Yeah...the story about people evacuating a building because they thought there was a gas leak, but was really a couple of people opening up a durian is true! Hehe thats how bad/good it is! =) getting back to the smoothies this places uses real fruit and my friend Jenny Y. says real condensed milk. You can't get that taste with powdered flavor! Totally worth the $3-4 for a large. Saves money too because you can get the taste of the fruit with out investing in an entire one, and also saves you from the hassle of opening up one. I've had boba tea and the taro drink here, and they were extremely average. However, what I do like (and deserves the extra star I gave it) is the yogurt. It's really smooth and fresh. If you like Vietnamese yogurt, I recommend that you try it. read more

Didn't want to bother complaining since the drink was cheap. I hung around just to wind down to figure out what my next errand and then I witnessed the owner himself CURSE at a lady with her child and the poor child was crying!!!! Are you kidding me?! The lady owner is very rude, I asked if the ownership has been changed and she snapped at me and said why I would ask such question. Rude and impolite.
