I am so impressed with this company. We called Quick Key at 4:30 in the afternoon to help us with a "lock-out" of an interior door. I had called three other companies before Quick Key who either couldn't get to us for several days or told us they would call us back if they could add us to the schedule. I called Quick Key after receiving a very high quote from another locksmith to come look at our broken front gate lock. Josh was assigned to come to our condo between 5:30-6:30, but it was pouring out so I figured he would cancel. I used Quick Key after pricing a couple of other places - they were all roughly the same and Quick Key came recommended not only by all the Yelp reviews, but by my real-estate agent as well. It's not cheap to have locks replaced and re-keyed, but Quick Key's prices were on par with the competition and they did a fantastic job. I had mentioned the $15 off $30 yelp deal, but they said that because I wanted an appointment the same day I shouldn't go that route because it'd take 24 hours to activate. Instead, they offered me a discount on the service that made up the difference of the yelp deal - so I got a nice price break and great service. The second Josh left my condo, I had to log on to Yelp to sing his praises! He arrived within the one-hour window I was given when I called in yesterday and he even called me 10 minutes before he got here to let me know he was en route. When he arrived he was incredibly polite and professional. And best of all he fixed an intercom that had been working only intermittently for the last 8 years! He was very thorough, doing multiple tests to make sure it was completely solid before he left. Quick Key solved a problem which stumped my highly experienced building super. Basically, the original-equipment (Kennedy era) lock snapped off in my door, preventing us from opening it. I called Quick Key on a Saturday (no extra charge for weekends before 5 p.m.), and Josh got there within 20 minutes. He confirmed that it was a "catastrophic failure," about as bad as it gets. But he is smart and determined, and met with success in very little time. Charge: $45 for the service call, and $65 for the lock bypass -- which also included replacement of the broken lock and installation of another one while he was there. I can't say enough about Josh and Quick Key. Highly, highly recommended. read more

Josh came over on time to a condo we had just purchased. We went over all of the potential work up front, determined the estimated price, and he got to work. Josh was super friendly and knowledgeable, and he didn't sell me on anything I didn't need or make sense to do. We ended up completely replacing the locksets on 3 doors and keying them to the same key. I had recently purchased a new condo and had to have my locks rekeyed. I went to Yelp to do some research and ended up contacting Quick Key. They were quick to get someone out to my new place.
