Disappointed at this experience but thought it was important to share. Today is my birthday and like most, I booked a nail appointment the day before. I selected this location as they advertise, open until 7:30 on Saturdays. I called at 11:00 am to request the latest appointment of the day, I was booked and confirmed for 6:45. I showed up at 6:45 and noticed the only worker still assisting a customer. I assume she was just running a bit late, so I stepped into the convenient store immediately next-door for a bottle of water. As I return, I saw her continuing to work on a customer. At 6:52 I thought I should knock on the lock door to advise her next appointment was waiting. I don't believe she was aware that I was watching for several minutes outsides the locked door, I assumed this was a Covid protocol. Well, I was quickly waved away and told we closed early. I proceeded to let her know that I did have an appointment. She told me because I was seven minutes late, she would not honor my appointment because the tech left early. This was infuriating for several reasons, she was not aware I was outside watching and could see she was the only worker at the time of my arrival. second, advertising a closing time and not honoring that time, even with an appointment on the books. Third, no call to your scheduled appointments before deciding to close early or canceling appointment? I have experienced them tracking appointments through their caller ID, so no excuse for lack of call. So many things wrong here. I am not writing this review to tell you not to go here, but I would 100% telling you to go somewhere else, if it's an important event. Running this risk might leave you with no Manicure/ pedicure the day before an important day. No excuse for false advertisement and lack of communication. If this saves even one person from this unpleasant experience, this review has done its job. read more

I visited the salon yesterday for my first time. I just moved to Long Beach and I was in search of a new salon to try. My birthday is coming up so I figured it was time for a mani/pedi. I found this salon and decided to give it a shot and I am so happy that I did. My pedicure was wonderful and relaxing. As for my manicure, my nails have been extremely short so I opted for acrylic which I was dreading. I have never enjoyed the heaviness of acrylic and avoid them at all costs. Yvonne seriously worked her magic. My nails came out beautiful and were exactly what I asked for. She also got them so thin and shaped them perfectly. They truly feel like my own nails. On top of my nails coming out great, I really just had the greatest time with Yvonne. She truly took her time to get my nails right and ensured I was happy with the result. I got a French tip and wanted a simple painted design on my nails and when it turned out terrible (the strawberry I wanted looked like a badly painted radish) I asked to take it off and Lena was very rude to me, told me to "think before next time" then proceeded to charge me $5 to take off the design that looked nothing like a strawberry. She also only did one coat of color polish on my acrylic nails and it's already coming off a day later. I decided to go with no design and still tipped very well but left very unsatisfied and upset at the way I was spoken to because she did a bad job rushing through my nails. It was rude and very awkward, I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. I did think and what I thought was why would I pay for something I don't want on my nails, so I spoke up when it was done terribly and there won't be a next time. read more

They were very accommodating with my schedule. I called ahead of time to see if they could fit me and my friend in 30 minutes before closing and they answered in the affirmative. We were seated immediately for our pedicures and handed menus for our choice of services. Lena was an excellent host she was sweet and personable to all of the clients. It was welcoming. I chose the Relaxing Pedicure because I'm a sucker for a massage :) My friend had the same plus the deluxe manicure. My pedicure came out fabulous. Lena made sure to get my rough spots and make them soft. She shaped and painted my nails expertly. While I was visiting Long Beach from out of town, I wanted to get my overdue acrylic nails removed. I found this little gem online and came in to see I'd found gold! Lena had just finished doing someone else's acrylic nails and the shape was so good! I am very particular about my nails and only let my nail guy back home do them. I come in often but I haven't been in a minute. I called to make an appointment and asked for 1pm. They tell me is 1:30pm okay I say yes. I show up for my appointment early. And she tells me my appointment was @1. Which it wasn't. So I'm sitting waiting and someone comes in. She's white im black to mention. Her appointment is @130. They hand her a book and nail styles while I haven't been helped. When my regular girl isn't here this happens. Crazy. Hate to say it's a racist place without her but it is. I got the regular mani pedi without polish and was charged $30. Which is the normal price. I should have been offered a discount bec she cut me and it wouldn't stop bleeding until an hour after I got home. In her defense it was after 6pm and she could have used more light. Also, she was very apologetic and they got me in immediately. I was a walk up. They did a great job doing it all out on the sidewalk. The water was hot, the towels were hot, everything was clean. I came for a pedi bec my heels haven't had attention since January thanks to covid and our shitty governor so I really appreciate this establishment being open for business! I did have to point out to her that my heels needed more attention and she gladly did it. Their cc was not working and the atm next door charges $3 or $5 so I asked her if I could go to my bank tomorrow and drop off the money. She took my number and called me. I ended up getting the money tonight, but they were already closed. I am tipping her $5 with the $30 I owe and might return in the future. read more
