im so disappointed in this nail salon. I was told by my family that it was a good salon but I feel…read morelike I got screwed. I went in on Sunday and got a full set and my eyebrows done. while I was there the vibe of the place was chaotic. there was kids yelling the whole time and the only person trying to keep the kids calm was an older girl that was there. I haven't even had my nails a full week and 4 have already popped off. im usually careful with my nails and can keep a set on a full two weeks but I guess they didn't use enough glue or something. then on top of that I got overcharged because I was told it would be $40 but was charged $59 and my eyebrows were only $7. Idk I dont want to be that person who complains for no reason but after losing the 4th nail I just had to say something.....

Let me start by saying DONT WASTE YOUR TIME STOPPING HERE !!…read more Forget the rest of the review because it's a personal rant , bust seriously save yourself some time . I approached this establishment at 1:20pm. The guy in the front chair told me it would be a twenty minute wait. The space is small so I waited in my car. . Thirty minutes later I decided to go inside bc someone should be finishing . I waited INSIDE an additional 30 minutes before asking when I would be seen. First I chose a golden color, but the way the tech put it on my hand made it look transparent and I didn't like it. I asked her almost 5 times to make them shorter and she kept suggesting that when she filed them they would get shorter , whatever . Not only did she give me nails that weren't the same length, they are poorly shaped . Again , please don't waste your time .

I decided to give this salon another chance since they opened a new location, but unfortunately…read morethis visit confirmed why I stopped coming. I was charged $75 for a refill with cat-eye polish, even though I already had my nails on. The service was just a basic fill, removal of the previous polish, and cat-eye gel. I did not add length -- I actually shortened them, which makes the price even harder to justify. For that price, you would at least expect the design to be consistent, but the cat-eye effect wasn't even uniform across the nails. The whole service felt very rushed, like they were just trying to get it done as quickly as possible. The bigger issue for me was the customer service from the receptionist, Amy. I've encountered her before at another Aura location and stopped going there because the quality became inconsistent. When I called to make the appointment, the information about closing times and last appointments was contradictory, and the tone of the conversation already felt irritated. When I arrived and when I was checking out, the interaction was very abrupt and unfriendly. There was no warmth or basic customer service, which really affects the overall experience. To make matters worse, even after being charged $75 for a rushed and inconsistent refill, I still generously tipped. At this point, these prices for the level of service provided are just getting out of hand. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

This review is way overdue (came here early May), but I had a great experience with Binh (I think…read morethat's his name). First time having a guy do my nails, but his technique was very good, and my nails lasted a full 3.5 weeks before they started to peel (and after an Alaska cruise). Typically, they may last 2 weeks. Shellac mani cost me $32, and it was well worth it. Highly recommend Binh. It was kind of busy on a Friday, so maybe make an appt if they take them?

I've been going to this nail salon for a while and usually have a decent experience, but…read moreunfortunately, this visit really missed the mark--and it wasn't the first time I've had an issue with this particular nail tech. He seems to always be rushed and not neat. My pedicure was great. The woman who did it was kind, professional, and took her time. I really appreciated that part of my visit. However, the experience with Peter, who did my acrylic full set, was disappointing and uncomfortable. As soon as he sat down, he made a comment about my hair, asking if I "didn't feel like doing it today." For context, my hair was styled in a natural curly, half-up, half-down look. When I let him know that curly doesn't mean undone, he doubled down and suggested I try straightening it. The comment was rude and unnecessary, but I chose not to make a scene and let him continue. The nail service itself was not much better. I asked for an almond-shaped French tip set. He cut me with the drill, and when I pointed out that one nail was crooked, I had to push for him to fix it. While painting, the white polish ended up all over my fingers and even on my wrist--and he made no attempt to clean it until I asked. The finished nails are lumpy with uneven shapes, and the French tips have no crispness or precision. Overall, they look rushed and messy. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction at the front desk, I said I was happy with my toes but not with the nail service. The response? Silence. No apology, no concern, just complete indifference. At this point, I think it's time to find a new salon. I don't expect perfection every time, but I do expect professionalism, respect, and basic attention to detail.

I've been coming to this salon for some time, but unfortunately, the customer service is often…read morelacking, especially from the owner. As a woman of color, I've noticed a pattern where I'm not treated with the same courtesy as other customers. For example, on several visits, I've seen non-colored customers immediately offered water when they walk in, while I have to ask -- and sometimes wait a long time -- to receive the same courtesy. Today, I brought my daughter in for a pedicure, and again, no one offered her a drink until I asked. The owner told me "give me a few minutes," but then new customers of another race walked in and were immediately offered refreshments. When I eventually asked again, I was able to get water myself and gave it to my daughter. The owner then came up to check what I had taken, which left me feeling uncomfortable and singled out. This kind of treatment has happened to me more than once, and it's disappointing. I truly wish the salon would treat all customers with the same level of respect and hospitality.

Our services were started quickly, which is good. However, I felt rushed. Not relaxing. Not totally Nelly's fault as I was also making decisions for my aunt as well at the same time. The nail technicians were very thoughtful and had good eye contact, and would check in with us to see how we are doing Would highly recommend this location for pedicures and manicures. It is very rare for you to find the same person working at a nail shop for over 20 years. Tina…read more(nails), Kim & Spring (pedi) have been the main three ladies that have kept this shop going. PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW. The shop is located off the freeway and it does not look like your modern shops; however, there is no need to worry. There is a lock on the door and you must be "buzzed" in because there are a lot of solicitors and neighborhood locals that like to stop. New customers are always the individuals that feel unsafe and reference the area as "hood." Walk-ins are welcomed; BUT, everyone KNOWs TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. So please don't expect to be waited on immediately. If you make an appointment, it will be rare that the ladies will be behind. It it mainly due to the previous customer running late. The ladies will work nonstop to make sure everyone is taken care of... I've witnessed this on several occasions, especially on weekends and holidays. Most people, including men, will come for pedicures and manicures. Spring & Kim are the BEST and will NOT Rush through your services. I've seen some horrible feet over the years and they put their time in. If you remember the episode of Martin when Myra needed a pedicure yeah it's like that. They will take their time to remove any/ all dead skin from your feet. And that's why I believe so many men come without their wives. Lol, they know to book their own appointments. Tina is the main lady that does nails and her customers will not let anyone else touch their hand but her. Thus, you will be waiting. I love how she takes her time shaping your nails properly and cleaning your cuticles. There have been times when I was not happy (ugly colors I chose) with my nails & Tina took the time to redo without an attitude and additional charge. Overall, you will notice that this shop has very loyal customers. I've been attending this shop w/my grandmother as a kid and I am an middle age adult. And like most customers, I rather come here for good quality service and family laugh. Everyone talks to everyone here. Even if you speak Spanish, the ladies have a little learned from over the years and will make sure you're included in the conversation as well. You won't find many reviews from their regular customers, because most of them are older and really don't turn to Yelp for reviews. So the reviews posted will not be from your 20+ years customers... it's from the NewNews that just googled "nail shops near me" PS. Prices have been the SAME for over $20 years. And they now accept credit cards and Apple Pay. They stuck to cash only due to possibly of ppl using stolen accounts. Hope to meet you there one day.
