DO NOT GO HERE! I was in area and decided to go try them out and have my eyebrows waxed-BAD IDEA. I have bumps/rash around my entire eyebrows, yes both. Secondly, I get to register to pay and asked if it was card/cash and answered card. The lady at register response with you will get charged $1 to use card because it is under $10. No one mentioned that beforehand. Then I get questioned about the $1 tip I left--the job on my eyebrows does not deserve to get any tip... I will not be returning.
I'm from NY so the way our pedicures are done I have to say I appreciate way more after this experience. The lady was very nice but her "massage" and her "scrub" was horrible. I was watching everyone and I think they all do it this way. Houston .. come to NY to get a pedicure and you won't be disappointed at all. I wouldn't even attempt nails out here I would have a fit. They set a timer for the massage but it's not really a massage. It felt more like a rub with oil in which I can skip. Thank you but no thank you. 35 dollars for a color change pretty much. My heels were still ashy.
Le is pretty good. Only thing, is when I go in thinking I'm going to pay one thing they charge me smthing else. Today I went in for a shellac Polish change, but Le did a manicure. So I was expecting to pay $18, but it ended up being $27. He said because he did the cuticles it was a manicure.. that kind of took me off guard. But no problem, I paid it; all smiles. They are Nice people. I just couldn't post my review without being honest. Pros: Short wait time Friendly service Drinks offered during service
Late review, I had been visiting this nail shop for about three months and never experienced what I experienced on July 13th. I was preparing for my birthday party, later this Friday night. I came into the business, looking for the regular nail tech who normally does my nails and toes, but she was on vacation. This would have been my second time, trying the dip nails. Well, they ask me to sit with a young lady, and I mean young lady that was supposed to be a master nail tech. As she was doing my dips, I informed her that she was not going all the way to my cuticles and it already looks as if I need a new set, and she was completing them. So she dipped them in the powder again but was upset about me wanting them all the way to my cuticles. (What she should have been upset with was she didn't know what she was doing.) A lady sat next to me on my right in a booth, to be serviced next and ask me how did I like the dip nails. I told her this was my second time getting them done, and the lady Rachel who did them the first time, I like them when she did them, but was not pleased with this young lady. I had previously informed her I had another appointment, (when I sat down a hour and half to 45 minutes ago) and it was already past that time, I would return to let her fix them. The nail tech went besirck, she started saying with powder on my hand, not buffed or completed: Go Ahead. You said you are coming back, go ahead and leave. It will be easier to fix when you come back, if I don't finish them. You said you don't like my work. I in return said: you better finish my set, I'll pay and then leave, you are not going to send me out half done, if I'm coming back or not. She kept going with: go ahead and leave. I will fix when you come back, and informed the Male owner of what was transpiring. I in return said to her: You don't hear me do you? I don't have to like your work, and you need to get out your feelings, everyone is not going to like your work and I have a choice of whose work I prefer. She unkindly, and roughly attempted to finish my nails, as I informed her to get a grip on her customer service. She completed my nails, horrible work, and they were messed up of course. Worst customer service experience ever! Pictures of nails are in photos, judge for yourself.
Took my mother as a Mother's day gift and everyone was phenomenal! Super precise, attentive, and great hospitality! 10/10 recommend. Take y'alls dads for a pedi
I waited until after my second visit here to leave my review, just to see if I would receive the same service both times. I am thrilled to say yes, I did. Outstanding customer service. Jenny is a delight and beyond accommodating and sincere. Rachel is absolutely fantastic. Twice now I have asked for custom designs of my choice and both times she never even hesitated to say "yes, why not?" If huge, mainstream, boujie, have a glass of wine while you sit places are your thing, this is NOT the place for you. But if small, friendly, personable, neighborhood vibes is, then I highly recommend LV. Can't beat the price or the service. Tell Rachel Hello Kitty sent you when you go!
I came by here since I was in the area and had a two Hour lunch. I went by the photos and reviews on Yelp and decided to come here since I was long overdue for a mani/pedi. They rushed me as soon as someone walked in the door. I got the deluxe pedicure and wasn't impressed. I also got shellac on my nails and the lady didn't do a good job. Very messy on the sides. ***Update*** The owner contacted me Yesterday and I went in today and they fixed my nails. He was very sweet and understanding. I highly recommended this place as they're very good about customer service and did a very exceptional job this time around.
For me personally it's very hard to find a nail shop that can please all across the board. I went here with an open mind. I got a shellac deluxe pedicure, eyebrows, and a full set with shellac. I asked for powder but you know how that goes!! I wasn't greeted very friendly at first by a woman who sits up front.. once she realized I wanted to spend more money her mood changed. My pedicure was awesome. The nails are horrid , I left dissatisfied but I didn't want any problems. $113 was my tab. I recommend for everything expect nails and friendliness
2 things I look for when I'm searching for a nail salon- technicians who do good nails & DESIGNS! I arrived on a Thursday afternoon to get a refill. I was immediately greeted, chose a color and seated. The tech seemed pretty young. Before she finished I asked about designs, she laughed and said they really don't do designs. I referred to the sign outside that says 'Nail Designs' and pictures I viewed on their page prior to arrival. The tech said if I had a picture they may can do it. Huh? I asked what their prices were on designs and she couldn't give a definite price. I asked if designs were 2/$5 like most places? She thought for a second and said yes. Lol ok ma'am. I politely declined and just asked for her to finish my nails. I loved the color but the refill wasn't done well and looks clunky. I probably wont return.
Never again. Gave it a try as my cousin recommended it. Went it for a plain manicure but please tell me how is this a manicure? My cuticles are still there, some nails were cut too short, the equipment used had stuff in it from a previous client, I was just too nice to stay and paid $15 with tip for this kind of job. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else.
LV is a great shop, best to make an appointment as they can get quite busy. They also have the "princess" mani and pedi for kids. My daughter and I got our pedi's for Halloween.
This review is way overdue (came here early May), but I had a great experience with Binh (I think that's his name). First time having a guy do my nails, but his technique was very good, and my nails lasted a full 3.5 weeks before they started to peel (and after an Alaska cruise). Typically, they may last 2 weeks. Shellac mani cost me $32, and it was well worth it. Highly recommend Binh. It was kind of busy on a Friday, so maybe make an appt if they take them? read more

I got these done here last week, just look at the pics. Took these pics the day after but hesitated posting this. I'm so mad I can't even look at my hands. A 4 year old could've done a better job, and they charged me extra for shaping...what shape????? The most horrible nail work I have ever seen!! Don't go here, you're better off with broken nails. read more

Peter did a great job. Great attention to detail and the shape I wanted. A little under an hour for everything. I have been to this nail salon multiple times and they have never disappointed me. The associates that work there are always cheerful and super friendly and always helpful. They have a wide variety of colors to select from and also many different services to offer. I have been there to get my toes done and my nails done and have regular and full sets and every time that I have went it has always been the same results. Great quality, amazing work ethic and outstanding results. My FAVORITE and nail salon in Houston! read more
Located in a rather tired looking strip mall north of 34th street, LV Nails doesn't seem like much of a destination for luxury or pampering. But when I saw the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I decided to give them a try. The shop has a rather plain interior with few decorations. The place could probably use a new coat of paint and some refreshed ceiling tiles, but the furnishings seemed quite clean and relatively new. The staff greeted me quickly and there was no wait for a manicure. They displayed a wide selection of Essie polishes and featured dozens of shellac options as well. As stated in many other reviews, the nail technician did a great job--quick and meticulous. A shellac manicure on natural nails will run you $27. I believe a shellac polish change is $17. I will probably be back but I won't choose it as a place to go for a special day with friends or anything. read more

My Disney themed shellac nails lasted through a day at Epcot, a day at Disney World, a pool day, a spa day, AND a week of work as a dental hygienist where I'm constantly washing and using my hands. The team of people working in the salon made me feel at home and comfortable. This is a low key salon with high value. It's somewhere that I can afford to have frequent services completed. read more
Absolutely loved Julie! She did great work on my nails and we talked the whole time! She is absolutely so friendly and nice, and more importantly GREAT at nails. She says she will only be there till August so I suggest you go there before she leaves! She's leaving to finish her degree in school so even more reason to support her! I got a French shellac for $32, and I will absolutely come back for a pedicure! Julie is there Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. read more

Customer Service: Their customer service is great and it's the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I went in on a Saturday morning before Mother's Day and it was packed. However, I was greeted as soon as I walked in and accommodated for a pedicure right away. Pedicure: I paid extra for a pedicure package that included a 15 minute hot stone massage. Usually this massage is my favorite part of going to get a pedicure and I was ready to relax. WRONG! The massage Sophia gave me was painful. She painfully pulled and twisted my toes. She beat my legs with her fist. She used the stones' edges rather than the smooth flat side to "massage" my calfs. I kept flinching and finally asked her to stop. I was very much disappointed. She did do a good job with polishing though. She applied even coats. And she was very nice. Manicure: I didn't get the name of the gentleman that did my manicure but he was very nice too. His polishing job was good but that's where it ends. I had to ask him to push my cuticles back because he was ready to start polishing but hadn't touched my cuticles. Then he surprised me by using the machine that they use to sand down the nail ON MY CUTICLES!! I have never experienced this before but I didn't say anything and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I trusted that he knew what he was doing. He is the professional after all. But by the end of my manicure I was disappointed. You can see how bad my cuticles look in the picture and the picture was taken right after my session. I won't be going back to this salon read more

Quality of service and friendliness of staff make LV Nails my salon of choice. My shellac last (without) lifting for 3-4 weeks! Before coming to LV Nails, I had never had shellac last more than a week! My husband and I go together about once a month. Jenny and Le are so friendly and always provide great service! + Clean salon + Best shellac color selection and application for a great price + Friendliness of staff + Not too crowded and able to relax + Offer water and wine to drink read more

I've been coming here for a long time with my mom and i've been disappointed a few times but today was for sure the last time i'll go. They don't care if you leave satisfied with your nails. I paid $55 for this. (What I asked for, my right hand and then my left.) The nails on my left hand are also about 3x thicker than those on my right. I want this set off of my nails and would not ever recommend LV. read more

I read the reviews and was in the area so I scheduled an appointment. Everything was extremely clean and the employees were extremely helpful and sweet. The price was lovely as well. She even took car to swipe sparkles across the end of my nail so that the polish wouldn't chip and could last longer. Overall it was a pleasant experience at a fair price. read more

Loved this place! Staff was friendly, everything was clean, and the prices were reasonable! I got the standard pedicure w/ design, full set of the white tips, and eyebrow wax. Work and school had been very hectic, and I was exhausted. I fell asleep while getting my pedicure and nails done, woke up and everything was just how I had asked! So relaxing! It is so hard to find a nail salon you truly love, but this place really may be it for me. I will definitely be back in a few weeks to try them out again! read more

This place is large and clean! Everyone is very nice and polite. Manicure booths are on the entrance, followed by the pedicure chairs further in the establishment. Their prices are reasonable for the good service they provide. Today, I called ahead of time and made an appointment for 4:30. When I showed up, I was asked what I needed and I told them that I went in for an acrylic with shellac full set. Yenny said that I would be helped shortly, but if I wanted to get my toes painted for $10 in the meantime (they were not a pretty sight). I agreed, and she quickly took care of me. Following that, I sat for a short while as the person who was going to do my nails finished on her client. Ann was the one who helped me today. I highly recommend her! She is so lively and funny and obviously puts a lot of effort in her work. She was working on my nails for two hours and the end result was beautiful. Tell her what you want and she'll do exactly that and pass your expectations. read more
