Stopped by Heights Nail Spa to get a manicure and pedicure with regular polish. I was greeted and seated right away. The staff is very friendly. The salon is clean and really has an environment I prefer (quiet, tv is on a cooking show). I took off two stars because on my left hand, two of my cuticles were cut and bleeding and on my right hand one was cut and bleeding. That took my ambiance away. The technician was apologetic once I pointed it out to her but she did not notice. She did mention she worked a very long day. At the end, when asked how my service was when paying, I mentioned being cut, on three fingers and the staff member took $5 off. I probably won't come back because of this. The staff is nice and the salon is nice but my three cuticles are tender from being cut too deep. read more

Heidi did a beautiful job on my dip-powder nails, with a cat-eye gel on top because I had been admiring the new style since last year. She is very talented and listens to my concerns about growing my nails out healthy and thick. I've been coming to this place to do my pedicure for the last 4 years and even recommended my best friend. They do such a great job, we haven't been anywhere else for our pedicures. Yen is also someone that I see and she is so interesting to talk to and does a beautiful job. I recommend this place and it is conveniently right next door to Target in the shopping center. They will offer you water, wine or Champaign if you'd like a beverage. Sometimes I also just go to relax during my pedicure and they respect when I'm not in a very talkative mood and maybe doze off while receiving my hot stone massage haha. read more

Highly disappointed in this place , my second time back and I won't be returning. I came into get a gel pedicure and within 20 mins my service was done . The nail technician rushed the entire service and talked me into getting the more expensive service because she said the one I chose did not come with cuticle removal. Which is what I wanted .. but she's barely even cut my cuticles . I also told her , I wanted French tip or possibly solid white and she kept saying "do white do white" so she could hurry up and finish my service. I looked over and saw she was rushing me and my service because she had another lady waiting for her . Which made sense why my service was 20 mins . She cut my toe nails so short they were not all straight . SMH just terrible.. people come to get pampered & to relax not to be rushed to receive 1star services . I should've trusted my instincts about visiting this salon. While I'd like to blame it on a "language barrier," the attitude I encountered transcended any language, especially when my hand was pulled and tossed around. After a long break from treating myself, I chose this salon purely for its convenience. During my visit, I showed an inspo photo, and the older technician assured me that she could achieve the look. During the initial consultation, I specifically requested a powder base because I've had it before and that's what I wanted to pay for. However, she kept pushing for a shellac base instead. When she tried mixing two powders for a base, it still wasn't the color I wanted. I asked for assistance from someone more willing to help, which eventually led me to request the manager. The manager showed little interest in helping find a full-coverage base without using shellac. He claimed that mixing two powders would cause "marbling," yet the technician was trying to give me a "marble" look before he even approached. I didn't want to fit the stereotype of the "angry Black woman," so I felt pressured to settle for a pinkish, see-through base that I didn't want. The French line is bulky and majority of the nails are sqoval not square. In the end, I was very disappointed with my nails. I paid $127 for a service that didn't meet my expectations. When the manager asked if I liked my nails, I honestly told him, "No, I don't. It's not what I was looking for." His response was simply, "Oh, I'm sorry about that," without any effort to address my dissatisfaction or offer a solution before I left. On a positive note, Ashley, the technician who did my pedicure, was fantastic. She noticed how uncomfortable I was throughout the experience, especially due to the behavior of the older woman who was working on my nails. Ashley's professionalism was the only highlight of an otherwise disappointing visit. I'd suggest that the salon invest in a wider range of products to better accommodate all customers who choose to spend their money there and maybe have a crash training course on providing exceptionally good customer service. read more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the heights . From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. The salon was clean, beautifully organized, and had a relaxing ambiance. My nail technicians, was incredible--super attentive and detailed. I've been coming here for a few years and always had a pleasant experience. However, today I just went in to quickly get my dip nails removed. Queen took me and sat me down, didn't say hi just told me to sit and put my hands in the warm acetone for my dip to come off. Well.. she went to the back for a good 12-15 minutes (I've had dip removed several times and I've never been left there for longer than 5). I asked another nail lady to see where she went, apparently she was on a lunch break because she came back wiping her mouth and I jokingly said I thought she forgot about me. She was so rude after that, filed my nails terribly, didn't look at me, and sent me on my way (with white acetone fingers). I've never had this experience before but it just makes me want to switch nail spas. :( Don't have Queen as your nail technician. Btw...totally get you're hungry and want to eat, but don't take me in and make me sit with my fingers in acetone for that long. read more

So I went here looking for a new nail place . I did love my dip nails , felt like the design was basic I also got the 44 dollar pedicure with hot stones and parrafin wax - my total came out to 115 I believe . The dip nails was listed as 50 and the pedicure was 44. I got a French tip on my toe nails and 2 nails with designs which are listed as 6 dollars .( for both ) how I got to this total I have no clue . I didn't ask at the time cause I was pressed for time . Upon entrance the dude at the desk gave me a number and didn't explain anything . I'm like what's this then he told me hang on to it . Okkkk.. very small selection for nail polish . I sit down , it's hot in there , the seats are older and I was not offered a drink . After about 8-10 minutes I asked for one . I always get my pedicure the same way , a light nude pink nail polish and then a very thin white line painted on it . I'm very specific about my pedicures , she told me it was impossible unless I got shellac which is BS because I get it every place I have ever been . I hate shellac on my toes . I don't have patience to have it removed . She then proceeded to whisper under her breathe cause I'm assuming I am being very specific about what I want . She then used a pumice on my feet only . For about 1 -2 minutes . Def not enough for my liking when I told her she needed to work more on that she completley ignored me . I then waited a minute and mentioned it again louder - she then got the grater thing out and asked me if it was okay . I'm like yes . Again working 1-2 minutes. I know people get very consistent in their jobs and repetitive but I'm paying for a service and it needs to be met . Anyways would def return for dip nails she was amazing , would not return for pedicures . Also ask for a breakdown of your recipt . My 3 stars are for my nails . I just moved to the area about a week ago and I found this shop on Yelp. I got a dip full set and a pedicure and both of the ladies that performed my services did a great job. My nails are shaped to perfection and I have a really hard time finding someone to shape my nails, so I am very happy. The only complaint I have is that no one offered me water or wine even though I saw it being offered to other people. I am not sure why I wasn't extended the same courtesy as the other paying customers. Overall, I will go back bc I love my nails and hopefully I am offered water or wine. I went in and asked for a gel pedicure and a matching powder dipped manicure. I was told that they were out of the matching powder but they could match it with another brand. I ended up with nice, beige toenails and ORANGE fingernails. I also said that I do not like pointy nails, I only want rounded nails. EDIT: decided to cancel my nail appointment with Heidi and go to Citris Nail Salon. It was cheaper and I wasn't required to know what style I was getting before I came. That was the main reason I wasn't able to get my nails done the same day as my pedicure. When I scheduled my pedi and nails, I had no clue I needed to tell them ombré PRIOR to coming in. I think that would be the responsibility of the person on the phone if you are scheduling people back to back. When I got there, she mentioned she couldn't do them since it would run into her next appointment. I appreciate the honesty though but a little inconvenient for me. I'll be doing two reviews. The first one is for their classic pedicure. I'll be back today to get my ombré nails done by Heidi and will add an additional review then. Appointments are required here which is nice because you're immediately seen when you come in for your appointment on time. My tech was Ashley. She was nice but was a little pushy when it came to choosing shellac versus a regular nail polish. She mentioned something about the winter weather even though I told her I usually come in for a pedicure every 2 to 3 weeks and I didn't care much about the weather or my polish lasting for more than a month. For the classic pedicure, the original cost is $28, which is what I'm used to. The issue is how long I got to actually leave my feet in the water and if this felt like a real pedicure. I felt like my feet were outside of the water for most the time and when I did get a chance to put my feet in the water, the water was not warm. By the time I the water was warm, the pedicure was over and it was time for me to put polish on. I also feel like she did the bare minimum when it was time to get the calluses off and cut down the cuticles. Not sure if I would recommend it by this tech but it got the job done for Christmas. read more

Prices are not as advertised and they charge me $80 for a basic ombre powder set and I get waaayyyyy more than this elsewhere. I just moved back to Houston and looking for a new spot so I gave this place a try and I'll never try them again... Regular power is $60 when most places charge $37-$45 and they charged $20 for ombré!!! Ombre is normally a $5-$10 up charge NOT $20!!! Nail have been on 1week and one is already broken... I put my car in drive and looked down to see a broken nail, I didn't even feel it!!! Poor application not to mention the pedicure tech cuts you until u bleed!!! They charge $5 EXTRA for shape, $5 EXTRA for length even if it's medium. My nails were supposed to be squared and had a U shape/pointy look to it. I had to buy a nail file at Target right after to reshape them. My technician was rushing. He was handling my hands rough and kept burning/cutting me with the electric filer. I felt unwelcome. His hands felt sticky throughout the service.I was asked about my visit when I paid, but didn't mentioned it because I just wanted to leave from there. I can't believe I haven't written a review of my new Nail place! Each time I go, anytime of day, I have a wonderful time. This place is clean, managed well, and each technician is very attentive. They also offer a variety of beverages, and I usually grab a piece of candy on my way out! They are incredibly kind and efficient technicians. I usually just get a manicure and pedicure. Some technicians will also throw in a mini-massage, and when they do, I tip accordingly. One of the reasons I love Heights Nail Spa is because they allow me to enjoy my manicure and pedicure in peace. Here is how my visit goes: - I walk in - choose my colors - they seat me - I kick of my flipflops and roll up my jeans - I communicate the colors for my hands and feet and choose my pedicure - put my headphones in, turn on a podcast or audio book From that point forward, I exist in that space between being awake and being asleep. An sat down to start my pedi - i asked about the massage chair feature, it wasn't working so they moved myself, my daughter, and my drink down a few chairs so we could stay together and both have the massage feature. - An did a great job on my pedi. - Tracy did an amazing job on my shellac overlay fill - Kim did an excellent job on my daughters mani & pedi (FYI there are diff prices for kids under 10) the ambiance and vibe in here was amazing!! I asked Tracy how long i should wait for my pedi to dry before i put my shoes on, she said a long time.. you can sit here, it's raining out and we don't need the chair - customer service is just as important as the product/ service!! I love my nails! I recently revisited the salon after the manager contacted me after my review. I am so happy that they had addressed the issue and I could not be happier with the results. The nail technician expressed her regrets and she did indicate that the polish I had chosen was thicker, making it look inconsistent. And I had to agree. She changed the color and it made a world of a difference! The did the works on my nails and she was very attentive. I am very happy that the issue was addressed. I know I was the last person in the 1st visit, so time was limited. You did have to park a ways away, but eh, good exercise. We got there around 6:20 is and there was a 20 min. wait. They moved pretty fast and we got seated at around the 20 minute wait time. They did have a lot of nail color selection, regular polish, gel polish, shellac, powder, they had it all. The facility was clean and fully staffed and it looked very elegant. I decided to do with a yellow color for both hands and feet and I went with the basic pedicure. I did appreciate the water being hot. They cut my soaked, cut cuticles, massaged a bit, and then polished. They did offer champagne and water, which was nice. The lady, Sara was so sweet and talkative. She really entertained my friend and I while we were there. The other lady that did my powder manicure started a bit late and I felt like she rushed the process and I did not like the end result. have been coming to this place for a few months now with no issues. I have asked for designs in the past similar to ones pictured and haven't been charged extra, and they have looked great as well. Today I was told that it is now $20 extra to have any design done. I agreed to this because I understand it takes extra time and whatnot. However, I have received what is honestly the worst job i've ever had done and it cost me $80. FYI i got these done on the 7th and it's been already more then a week. I got dip nails with tips + 10 designs . to get them long was an extra $5. i got designs on all nails from Lynn. total was $95. TWO days later my pinky nail broke off in my sleep. Each nail on my left hand has cracked where the artificial tip ends on my real nail. So you can imagine how much it bothers me. I'm a full time server i work with my hands A LOT. I have a nail technician who keeps my nails solid and nothing ever breaks or gets damages, but decided to try this place out since the reviews seemed great . Really disappointed in both quality and quantity . Thumb nail on my right hand the tip has already broken off . I believe they made my nails too thin . They try to get you with the outdated photo of James Harden here, but the service and quality is a 1 star at best. That star going to the glass of yellow champagne that I got during my 20 minute pedicure. Should've went with my intuition when I heard how they answered their phone. Get there and barely greeted. Then really should've turned around when I saw the price for a regular pedicure without much of a clean. Ugh, so mad at myself for coming here. They're only allowed to do this solely because of their location otherwise everyone who steps in here would be just as annoyed.
