After researching what to do about my sun damaged, red, pigmented face I landed on an IPL facial and found Artavi online knowing I wanted go to a doctor for this type of procedure (first time laser to my body anywhere!) Booked with Dr. Desai, even for the extra charge for those initials behind her name, it was well worth it! She was great, explained everything little thing and how it worked. Im a science nerd, so appreciated this. She also talked through the whole procedure without sugar coating anything.... because, it definitely didn't feel like a relaxing spa treatment. While the pain was SO worth it, it was a different kind of hurt. Best way to describe it is the rubber band analogy but also, it was HOT, like you're under a heat lamp just on that area....however the biggest annoyance to me was the light itself, it was bright (even under goggles and closed eyes) and 'shocking' so i would flinch every time that light would flash and that caused the chain reaction of rubber band pain-heat-relief-repeat. The cooling gel beforehand helped i guess, but once its done the pain is done and it starts to just feel like a sunburn. My recovery took longer than expected but look at all that pigment coming to the surface in pic 2! Was pretty cool watching it all flake off. Fully recovered 7 days later. Sunscreen 3xday everyday during week after. Couldn't be happier with results, will certainly go back for 1-2 more as recommended. Thanks Dr. Desai! If I were you, I would stay away. She is as expensive as a plastic surgeon or dermatologist, so go to them. I am not unreasonable; I understand the risk of under-eye filler and that this can happen. But it's the way the situation was handled that bothers me. She pushed a product that she knew wouldn't help fix her own mistake, gaslighted me, and gave me the runaround. Is this someone you want to do your injections with? I have been a member of their monthly club for over a year, and I've noticed several unprofessional events here and there. The last straw was when I got under-eye filler. I started to bruise immediately, and Dr. Desai blamed the bruising on my body(gas lighting); some of it was from me bruising easily, but most of it was from her messing up during the injection, which led to a black eye. She pushed a $50 topical product on me, knowing that wouldn't do a thing to help the black eye. Please see the first photo below. I had a black eye for two months after the injection that has still not entirely gone away; when I sent an email, including the second photo below, to the office, they invited me to come back in. When I entered the office, they did not have me sign legal documents; I went straight back into the exam rooms, where they took more photos. Dr. Desai came into the room to tell me that she could do nothing. SO WHY HAVE ME COME BACK IN AND WASTE MY TIME? After all, I sent a photo in my original email. That is what I asked her. She responded that she couldn't tell what was happening from the photo in my email(as she zoomed into a picture of my face that her staff JUST TOOK ). At this point, I felt she was insulting my intelligence, if I am honest. She knew she wouldn't do anything before inviting me in. Otherwise, I would have signed legal documents before entering the exam room. As a business owner myself, she should have just been HONEST and given me a choice after reviewing my email, for example, "It looks like XYZ is happening, which I cannot fix, but I would be happy for you to come in, and I can take a closer look," instead of wasting more of my time. I asked for a refund for the under-eye filler for living with a black eye for two months and being given the runaround. She declined. I am not unreasonable; I understand the risk of under-eye filler and that this can happen. But it's the way the situation was handled that bothers me. I've been seeing Dr. Desai at Artavi for 3 months now, and I'm extremely happy with my Botox, laser hair removal, and facial product recommendations. I initially chose Artavi, because I wanted the board-certified physician to be the one administering the injections, which Dr. Desai has done all of my Botox injections herself. For reference, other med-spas allow anyone with a Botox certification to give injections, whether or not they are a doctor. I really like the membership option. I pay $100 per month that stores in my account, and then when I come in for a treatment, the amount credits to my services. There's also a points system, where you can additional discounts. The location in the Heights is just unbeatable - easy parking and so close for people who live inside the loop. I paid double what I paid in over-priced CA and got zero results. Like a used car salesman, their office spams your text, email, and phone multiple times per day/ week. Their consent forms require you to sign away all photographic privacy so that your image/ video can be used for their social media marketing. 5 Stars! I did a lot of research before deciding on Artavi MedSpa. The injections are done by a medical doctor, which is a plus, as MDs are held to a higher standard. My first appointment was today and my observations are: At the front desk, I was greeted professionally and made to feel welcome. The office is immaculate, Dr. Desai took her time to learn my medical history and make sure there are no contradictions before the procedure. The Botox was given expertly. Aftercare was explained (no rubbing or vigorous activity, stay upright for a couple of hours afterward, etc.) and she mentioned will call the next day to check in. I've had Botox years ago and never experienced this level of care. There was no pressure to add other services, but she did answer my questions about what was available. They do carry skin care products and offer an array of services but didn't try to upsell me or push their products - which I truly appreciated. All around excellent experience in a clean, professional, beautifully decorated facility. I came for just Botox but I will be back for other services in the future. The doctor did not use the correct product for the correction I needed such that the injections she performed had no result even after waiting weeks for the product to settle and take effect. She just does not have the knowledge and skill necessary for beautiful corrective results. She also rushed through her appointments as her office is mismanaged with one patient waiting while she is still working on another. She does not factor correctly how much time consults and procedures will take when booking appointments. I suggest another practice for cosmetic procedures. read more

Artavi Med Spa is just the place I've been looking for! From the moment you walk in, it's gorgeous and clean. I took advantage of the dermaplaning/Dermal Infusion special, because my skin really needed some love and attention. Two days later and my face still feels hydrated and smooth! I CANNOT believe what she sucked out of my face after seeing the jar with....whatever was in there. Was a paying member for a year with Artavi, had facials done monthly and purchased product on occasion. Couldn't get a facial both November and December due to having a special treatment that they don't provide at another Med spa. Instead of working out a way to roll over my facial for November and December since they already charged my card for $110.00 per month ($220.00 total) they said I just lost that money. Not a good way to do business when there's Med spas all around this area. I've canceled my membership with them and won't be returning. I had a bit of a trauma from a previous Botox treatment at a different place where I got bruised badly and was really scared this would happen again. I went into this medical spa for a Botox Touchup when I was attending a conference. A friend recommended this clinic. I had some asstmetry which was gracefully corrected and evened out. The Doctor has an accurate touch and the Botox took effect right away! Didn't get shorted at all. I saw a prior post from someone who accused this clinic of shorting Botox. Not on my treatment!!
