I've been going to this nail salon for a while and usually have a decent experience, but unfortunately, this visit really missed the mark--and it wasn't the first time I've had an issue with this particular nail tech. He seems to always be rushed and not neat. My pedicure was great. The woman who did it was kind, professional, and took her time. I really appreciated that part of my visit. However, the experience with Peter, who did my acrylic full set, was disappointing and uncomfortable. As soon as he sat down, he made a comment about my hair, asking if I "didn't feel like doing it today." For context, my hair was styled in a natural curly, half-up, half-down look. When I let him know that curly doesn't mean undone, he doubled down and suggested I try straightening it. The comment was rude and unnecessary, but I chose not to make a scene and let him continue. The nail service itself was not much better. I asked for an almond-shaped French tip set. He cut me with the drill, and when I pointed out that one nail was crooked, I had to push for him to fix it. While painting, the white polish ended up all over my fingers and even on my wrist--and he made no attempt to clean it until I asked. The finished nails are lumpy with uneven shapes, and the French tips have no crispness or precision. Overall, they look rushed and messy. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction at the front desk, I said I was happy with my toes but not with the nail service. The response? Silence. No apology, no concern, just complete indifference. At this point, I think it's time to find a new salon. I don't expect perfection every time, but I do expect professionalism, respect, and basic attention to detail. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had. I told them I didn't want gel on my toes and they put gel on my toes. When I realized it was wrong, I corrected the nail tech. and she told me it would be $5 to take off the gel she put on in error. Then when I checked out, I told the man of the issue, and he still proceeded to charge me for gel nails when I specifically asked for regular. I've been coming to this salon for some time, but unfortunately, the customer service is often lacking, especially from the owner. As a woman of color, I've noticed a pattern where I'm not treated with the same courtesy as other customers. For example, on several visits, I've seen non-colored customers immediately offered water when they walk in, while I have to ask -- and sometimes wait a long time -- to receive the same courtesy. Today, I brought my daughter in for a pedicure, and again, no one offered her a drink until I asked. The owner told me "give me a few minutes," but then new customers of another race walked in and were immediately offered refreshments. When I eventually asked again, I was able to get water myself and gave it to my daughter. The owner then came up to check what I had taken, which left me feeling uncomfortable and singled out. I went in about 30 minutes before closing to have builder gel removed. I called prior to going and the owner was very nice and welcomed me to come in. The salon is nice and clean. I only took off one star because I was charged 20 dollars to remove the gel. When I checked the website the pricing to remove acrylic without service is $13.00. I was definitely overcharged but I really needed it removed before a morning meeting the next day and had no where else to go. For that reason I question if o would return. read more

I'm a people person, and one of my favorite things about this place is the genuine sense of community. It feels like an extended family. The technicians vary a little in skill, which can be frustrating, but there is always someone willing to listen and make things right. Everyone seems to care, even with the occasional language barrier. The massage chairs are great, and the complimentary drinks, including wine, juice, and water, are a nice touch. This is a lovely spot for a couples mani-pedi or even a quick brow or face wax. I've visited more expensive spas, and while the robes and showers are nice, you cannot put a price on feeling known and welcomed. I do not come often, but when I do, they always remember me, and I love that. If you ever have a problem with a service, talk to the owner. She is almost always there and will find a way to help. I'm giving four stars instead of five because the quality between technicians can be inconsistent. Some are excellent, while others are just okay. I focus a lot on nail health and had two experiences where my nails were over-filed and sore for a while. Have been going here for the past month and I used to get the DIP nails because my nails were too weak. Since going here, I have gotten away from all DIP and even Shellac. I get more compliments per day than I ever had when they were long with the DIP service. And the aloe pedicure is amazing. My only complaint (actually not a complaint) is an appointment is definitely recommended. As a walk in you will wait for about 30 minutes but an appointment is seen within 5 minutes of the time booked. I stopped by on 12/21/2020 and my dipped nails are still beautiful and strong as of today on 1/4/2021. With working, gift wrapping, writing reviews, you'd think these nails would be brittle and chipping away but I may not need another refill until a week or so! :) On my visit, service was fast, safe, efficient, relaxing, and I did not feel rushed or pressured. Masks are enforced and they require you to wash your hands before and after your service. I remember I had a rather stressful day that day and my nail technician offered such solace in simply conversing with me and offering an ear while carefully working on my nails. (Much appreciation to Lynh!) Well things have certainly changed here. The last 2 times I came has not been so relaxing. We had an appointment and had to wait like almost an hour to get started. It was three of us and it took a very long time because they had to do us like one at a time. In my opinion if a group makes an appointment then have the staff ready to attend them together. Another issue is the last two that did my pedicure always like pushed my feet around instead of gently guiding me. Skip this salon. I've been to this salon three times and each experience after the first good one, progressively got worse. First experience was great. Second experience, my reservation was double booked. Third experience, the nail tech I made a reservation with called in sick and I didn't find out until I arrived at the salon. Would give 0 stars if I could. I DO NOT Recommend this establishment. I had 1 nail to fix and THE OWNER actually attempted to fix it. He was VERY rude and condescending. My nails had designs on them I told him to just fix it and put a french tip. The first nail he put on was shaped differently and I told him. He yanked it off and put another one on and shaped it correctly. Anytime I told him there was an issue he would tug my arm, place things down loud and basically show he did not want to do my nails. The length was also wrong.... When i told him the nail was too long I asked him to shave it down to the size of my other middle finger and he did it. I compared them and the nail he put on was STILL longer and I told him that and he said "If I cut it down too short i'm not redoing it" Like sir why are you being so rude?? I was like "you know what don't worry about it just leave it". So he paints the french and i'm comparing this nail to all the other ones and it just is clearly out of place. He's like i'm just gonna cut it off. I said no just fix it so I can pay and leave he's like he's gonna fix it and cuts it off and tells me to go somewhere else to fix it. I'm sitting here asking for the owner name and they will not tell me but it's the older man with glasses. He was very rude and unprofessional DO NOT give him anymore business or money go elsewhere. I've been here a few times now so it's time for a review. I really like it and suggest checking it out. I tend to be a creature of habit and was nervous about trying something new for nails (you hear so many horror stories) but it was a pleasant surprise. First, it's very new, modern and clean. The decor isn't isle pedispa but it's very shiny and has everything you need plus some frills. Second, the prices are not isle pedispa. They are reasonable and a fair value for quality services. Third, I liked the service. Everyone was professional and wanted me to be pleased so they were attentive to feedback. Last, there's wine and other refreshments! I liked my nail services (both hand and feet) and I liked the techs. It was easy to make appointments. But I noticed they were busier last time so maybe word is getting out! No bottom. So you don't have to keep wedging foot inside. It sits on top and you don't have to move. I hate other places that keep tapping you ever 30 seconds to get your foot in. It's not relaxing 7) was offered something to drink. Choices of mimosa. Soda. Etc. I got hot green tea. 8) I found it relaxing. They were patient and gave advice about a few color choices I would come back to this place. Not super cheap but very good quality. Relaxing. And clean. I recently moved into the area and have been trying a few places. Glo Nail Lounge will be my new go-to! They're priced lower than comparable nice nail salons in the area. But their quality is outstanding! I had gotten a manicure and pedicure elsewhere two weeks prior and wasn't expecting to need much TLC, but the technicians were incredibly thorough and (gently) worked hard to clean up my nails - especially on the pedicure! I regularly have ingrown toenails and they did a fantastic job getting them out and making my toes much more comfortable! They were also friendly and fun to talk to, and didn't turn me away for showing up 45 minutes before closing. They took their time regardless of the fact they were closing soon. I was excited to try this brand new nail shop near the Whole Foods 360 by my house. When I walked in it was smaller than I expected but everything was nice and clean. I was seated at a pedicure bowl shortly but the water was fairly cold. I ended up sitting there for 25 minutes without being checked on until I finally requested someone to turn up the water temp and for a glass of wine. Once I got serviced it was a pretty good pedicure. I got the GLO signature. The prices were on the higher side in my opinion, but not unreasonable. The time I went it wasnt busy but not that many staff were working. Constructively, I think a little more attentive customer service would go a long way at this salon. read more
