I've been going to this nail salon for a while and usually have a decent experience, but unfortunately, this visit really missed the mark--and it wasn't the first time I've had an issue with this particular nail tech. He seems to always be rushed and not neat. My pedicure was great. The woman who did it was kind, professional, and took her time. I really appreciated that part of my visit. However, the experience with Peter, who did my acrylic full set, was disappointing and uncomfortable. As soon as he sat down, he made a comment about my hair, asking if I "didn't feel like doing it today." For context, my hair was styled in a natural curly, half-up, half-down look. When I let him know that curly doesn't mean undone, he doubled down and suggested I try straightening it. The comment was rude and unnecessary, but I chose not to make a scene and let him continue. The nail service itself was not much better. I asked for an almond-shaped French tip set. He cut me with the drill, and when I pointed out that one nail was crooked, I had to push for him to fix it. While painting, the white polish ended up all over my fingers and even on my wrist--and he made no attempt to clean it until I asked. The finished nails are lumpy with uneven shapes, and the French tips have no crispness or precision. Overall, they look rushed and messy. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction at the front desk, I said I was happy with my toes but not with the nail service. The response? Silence. No apology, no concern, just complete indifference. At this point, I think it's time to find a new salon. I don't expect perfection every time, but I do expect professionalism, respect, and basic attention to detail. read more

I've been coming to this salon for some time, but unfortunately, the customer service is often lacking, especially from the owner. As a woman of color, I've noticed a pattern where I'm not treated with the same courtesy as other customers. For example, on several visits, I've seen non-colored customers immediately offered water when they walk in, while I have to ask -- and sometimes wait a long time -- to receive the same courtesy. Today, I brought my daughter in for a pedicure, and again, no one offered her a drink until I asked. The owner told me "give me a few minutes," but then new customers of another race walked in and were immediately offered refreshments. When I eventually asked again, I was able to get water myself and gave it to my daughter. The owner then came up to check what I had taken, which left me feeling uncomfortable and singled out. This kind of treatment has happened to me more than once, and it's disappointing. I truly wish the salon would treat all customers with the same level of respect and hospitality. read more

I went for a nail removal of dip and was charged $20 just for the removal, and nothing else special was done. Total rip off when places are charging $10 for this same service. In fact I came once before to this exact location was charged $10 for just a removal. Beware pricing is based off the slowness of business for the day. read more

Was very disappointed, they put me in a chair that didnt work, barely put any water in the tub and left me sitting there without offering water or anything. I left and went to different salon that was fantastic. read more

I went in about 30 minutes before closing to have builder gel removed. I called prior to going and the owner was very nice and welcomed me to come in. The salon is nice and clean. I only took off one star because I was charged 20 dollars to remove the gel. When I checked the website the pricing to remove acrylic without service is $13.00. I was definitely overcharged but I really needed it removed before a morning meeting the next day and had no where else to go. For that reason I question if o would return. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had. I told them I didn't want gel on my toes and they put gel on my toes. When I realized it was wrong, I corrected the nail tech. and she told me it would be $5 to take off the gel she put on in error. Then when I checked out, I told the man of the issue, and he still proceeded to charge me for gel nails when I specifically asked for regular. Horrible service, horrible time management, horrible place. Don't go here ever read more

I mean..... this speaks for itself self... the uneven shape the thick pinky the short thumb.... I was told $50. Then I call back because I paid $65 for the jelly pedicure and didn't get any of the benefits of neck wrap or massage and they said no you were only charged $60 for toes and $55 for nails mixing up the prices to try and tell me I didn't get something..... My nails are so uneven even at the cuticle some are right up to it some are so far out already... read more

My go to for my nails inside the Houston inner loop! I'm a dip girl and have always had the best experience at Glo Nail Lounge. The deluxe mani/pedi is my go to and as someone without a lot of extra time I always appreciate that my dip manicure is done at the same time as my pedicure. If you're looking for a great mani/pedi, in a clean environment, this is the place for you. read more

I'm a people person, and one of my favorite things about this place is the genuine sense of community. It feels like an extended family. The technicians vary a little in skill, which can be frustrating, but there is always someone willing to listen and make things right. Everyone seems to care, even with the occasional language barrier. The massage chairs are great, and the complimentary drinks, including wine, juice, and water, are a nice touch. This is a lovely spot for a couples mani-pedi or even a quick brow or face wax. I've visited more expensive spas, and while the robes and showers are nice, you cannot put a price on feeling known and welcomed. I do not come often, but when I do, they always remember me, and I love that. If you ever have a problem with a service, talk to the owner. She is almost always there and will find a way to help. I'm giving four stars instead of five because the quality between technicians can be inconsistent. Some are excellent, while others are just okay. I focus a lot on nail health and had two experiences where my nails were over-filed and sore for a while. One of the gentler techs noticed, validated my concern, and told me to give my nails time to heal before coming back, which I really appreciated. read more

I went to get a Pedicure on Friday and I noticed , they did not have enough people working there. A girl started doing my pedicure and I noticed she was rushing through my whole pedicure! She did not do the massage on my legs , before polishing my toes and I asked her, "Don't I get a massage", before you polish my toes and she said I did and she not! She was just rushing , because there was other customers waiting. Wonen go get a pedicure to relax and enjoy, not for a rush job. When I complained to the cashier , all she said was I will tell her. When I checked my credit card statement the next day, I noticed they added an additional $5.00 more , to the tip I gave the girl , without my authorization! I was so upset at the time, that I did not ask for a receipt , to prove what they did. Lesson learn, get a receipt before you leave , after any service. I do not recommend this place!! i will never go back. read more

I called ahead and specifically requested an appointment at a certain time, but they asked to push it 30 minutes later. I agreed, but when I arrived, I ended up waiting another 45 minutes. Every time I asked, they kept saying, "just 5 more minutes," yet no one ever took care of me. The staff did apologize, but after waiting so long, I eventually had to leave. It was really disappointing, especially after confirming everything in advance. read more

Have been going here for the past month and I used to get the DIP nails because my nails were too weak. Since going here, I have gotten away from all DIP and even Shellac. I get more compliments per day than I ever had when they were long with the DIP service. And the aloe pedicure is amazing. My only complaint (actually not a complaint) is an appointment is definitely recommended. As a walk in you will wait for about 30 minutes but an appointment is seen within 5 minutes of the time booked. This picture is of my nails two weeks after getting them painting which, in my opinion, is pretty amazing. read more

Some of these reviews are crazy! I've been going to Glo for a couple of years now & they knock it out of the park every time! Peter is great but I've also had other techs there do my nails & still a good job. I've also seen customers act ridiculous here so maybe that's where the low ratings come from. Very clean, very customer focused and polite. Everyone I recommend this place to loves it. They've been able to do everything I've asked for. 10/10 most of the issues are because people want to walk in a get their nails done even though most clients call to make appointments. read more

Tina was very respectful and nice, best nail salon I've brought my girl too. Nice modern look inside and very clean.

I always come here for the sports pedicure, and it's awesome. There are 5 different scents to choose from, including tropical, green tea, and pomegranate. The paraffin wrap is fantastic. The technicians I've had have always been friendly, careful, and competent. I like how they have a wide selection of colors too. They start on time but I find that the pedicure frequently goes over one hour, but I don't mind b/c it's very relaxing. Highly recommend! read more

I stopped by on 12/21/2020 and my dipped nails are still beautiful and strong as of today on 1/4/2021. With working, gift wrapping, writing reviews, you'd think these nails would be brittle and chipping away but I may not need another refill until a week or so! :) On my visit, service was fast, safe, efficient, relaxing, and I did not feel rushed or pressured. Masks are enforced and they require you to wash your hands before and after your service. I remember I had a rather stressful day that day and my nail technician offered such solace in simply conversing with me and offering an ear while carefully working on my nails. (Much appreciation to Lynh!) At the end of the service, I felt better and less in distress - thanks to their kind customer service, and felt happy and complete with the final look of my glittery, red nails. read more

Well things have certainly changed here. The last 2 times I came has not been so relaxing. We had an appointment and had to wait like almost an hour to get started. It was three of us and it took a very long time because they had to do us like one at a time. In my opinion if a group makes an appointment then have the staff ready to attend them together. Another issue is the last two that did my pedicure always like pushed my feet around instead of gently guiding me. I've been coming here since 2019 when they first opened now I guess it's time to find another spot. read more

I have been visiting this location for yrs. It's always a hit or miss with quality of work. Today was my last time attempting getting a manicure with polish. It's clear that men don't get the same attention to detail as women. Most of my cuticles have been cut up and bleeding. Nails some filed some not. Just the worst. Never again read more

Skip this salon. I've been to this salon three times and each experience after the first good one, progressively got worse. First experience was great. Second experience, my reservation was double booked. Third experience, the nail tech I made a reservation with called in sick and I didn't find out until I arrived at the salon. They didn't notify me prior to my reservation nor did they have a replacement for me. All I got was a "sorry" and a non-sympathetic smile. Way to lose a customer and any referrals for good! read more

The nails were done nice besides this hump that was left on my ring finger. I wanted different colors on my fingers and they didn't let me know that it would be $10 extra to dip my finger in a different powder. Had a great visit to Glo yesterday afternoon for a dip manicure. I wish I got the name of the nail tech who worked on my nails because she did a great job! I've been here a few times now so it's time for a review. I really like it and suggest checking it out. I tend to be a creature of habit and was nervous about trying something new for nails (you hear so many horror stories) but it was a pleasant surprise. First, it's very new, modern and clean. The decor isn't isle pedispa but it's very shiny and has everything you need plus some frills. Second, the prices are not isle pedispa. They are reasonable and a fair value for quality services. Third, I liked the service. Everyone was professional and wanted me to be pleased so they were attentive to feedback. Last, there's wine and other refreshments! I liked my nail services (both hand and feet) and I liked the techs. It was easy to make appointments. But I noticed they were busier last time so maybe word is getting out! I'll be back soon. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. I DO NOT Recommend this establishment. I had 1 nail to fix and THE OWNER actually attempted to fix it. He was VERY rude and condescending. My nails had designs on them I told him to just fix it and put a french tip. The first nail he put on was shaped differently and I told him. He yanked it off and put another one on and shaped it correctly. Anytime I told him there was an issue he would tug my arm, place things down loud and basically show he did not want to do my nails. The length was also wrong.... When i told him the nail was too long I asked him to shave it down to the size of my other middle finger and he did it. I compared them and the nail he put on was STILL longer and I told him that and he said "If I cut it down too short i'm not redoing it" Like sir why are you being so rude?? I was like "you know what don't worry about it just leave it". So he paints the french and i'm comparing this nail to all the other ones and it just is clearly out of place. He's like i'm just gonna cut it off. I said no just fix it so I can pay and leave he's like he's gonna fix it and cuts it off and tells me to go somewhere else to fix it. I'm sitting here asking for the owner name and they will not tell me but it's the older man with glasses. He was very rude and unprofessional DO NOT give him anymore business or money go elsewhere. This is how he left my nail after he cut it off read more

This was a very good place for me because: 1) lots of color choices 2) super clean 3) great service 4) ample massage with the sports pedicure 5) warm neck wrap 6)the shellac / gel curing device is a dome. No bottom. So you don't have to keep wedging foot inside. It sits on top and you don't have to move. I hate other places that keep tapping you ever 30 seconds to get your foot in. It's not relaxing 7) was offered something to drink. Choices of mimosa. Soda. Etc. I got hot green tea. 8) I found it relaxing. They were patient and gave advice about a few color choices I would come back to this place. Not super cheap but very good quality. Relaxing. And clean. I was happy with the results of course but it's about the experience for me more. read more

I recently moved into the area and have been trying a few places. Glo Nail Lounge will be my new go-to! They're priced lower than comparable nice nail salons in the area. But their quality is outstanding! I had gotten a manicure and pedicure elsewhere two weeks prior and wasn't expecting to need much TLC, but the technicians were incredibly thorough and (gently) worked hard to clean up my nails - especially on the pedicure! I regularly have ingrown toenails and they did a fantastic job getting them out and making my toes much more comfortable! They were also friendly and fun to talk to, and didn't turn me away for showing up 45 minutes before closing. They took their time regardless of the fact they were closing soon. Highly, highly recommend Glo Nail Lounge! read more

Since my nails were so damaged from previous acrylics she gave some much needed TLC. They offer water, soda, wine or mimosas. Which I particularly loved. Everyone was very nice & professional.
