She had great energy , quick, detailed, and not one piece of hair left in sight! ( and out of sight - if you catch my drift ) I've had quite a few waxes in my life - and this one was MAYBE a 4 pain level. And I know it's because Emmy is knowledgeable about what she is doing and sure of herself which also helped me relax. When I first came in the door ( I almost went past the 9 minute mark) the front desk was helping someone else and she was warm and inviting which is a great first impression to make for new and existing customers. Also there are aftercare services that they offered (paid of course) but they didn't pressure me to buy anything. Additionally, they sent home samples of different products to try. I was charged $75 for a refill with cat-eye polish, even though I already had my nails on. The service was just a basic fill, removal of the previous polish, and cat-eye gel. I did not add length -- I actually shortened them, which makes the price even harder to justify. For that price, you would at least expect the design to be consistent, but the cat-eye effect wasn't even uniform across the nails. The whole service felt very rushed, like they were just trying to get it done as quickly as possible. The bigger issue for me was the customer service from the receptionist, Amy. I've encountered her before at another Aura location and stopped going there because the quality became inconsistent. When I called to make the appointment, the information about closing times and last appointments was contradictory, and the tone of the conversation already felt irritated. When I arrived and when I was checking out, the interaction was very abrupt and unfriendly. There was no warmth or basic customer service, which really affects the overall experience. To make matters worse, even after being charged $75 for a rushed and inconsistent refill, I still generously tipped. At this point, these prices for the level of service provided are just getting out of hand. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
