The greeting into the spa was lovely. The music however was way too loud for a spa. We had a spa pedicure which was relaxing to the touch...even though she overflowed the foot basin. A good 45 min spa pedicure. Nails... I had a full set done ... I would NOT recommend. She dropped tools and then used them on my hands. I sat in that chair for over two hours! Had a photo of the design (french with a flower). The whites were done poorly. The cuticles were dry and poorly attended to. Polish had fuzz. Honestly, they are a mess!! The next day (today) two nails have already peeled off. I now need to find a nail salon to FIX this mess when I get home before I leave for a trip Monday! $221.50 (includes tip for pedicure - I did not tip for the nails! ) is outrageous for the look of the nails and for the quality. I let it go as they were "tolerable") However, with the peeling and having to fix them, I will be contacting the spa and if necessary my bank for a partial refund! I will then update my review as to the outcome. The manger/owner- very pleasant and professional. The spa - not as "spa" like as pictures portray. The cleanliness could be improved greatly. Bathrooms - clean . Pedicure chairs- worn and torn. The area of nail colors and powder color was a disorganized mess. The walls need painted and floors cleaned! I like to venture out and try new nail salons and this place was apparently bookmarked for quite some time. Unfortunately I was let down. I wanted to like this place so badly but so many things just let me down to the point, I had to remove this page from my bookmarks/places to go. Here are my pros and cons Pros - I was greeted coming in and leaving - I absolutely love my color choice - the tech cleaned up my cuticles so nicely Cons here's where it kinda gets unsettling - I made an appointment over the phone, but the person I made my appt with, sounded soulless. - I am approached by my tech and guided to where I would be seated, but never was actually greeted. I never knew her name. The only thing she actually asked me was "is this your first time here?" And I answered yes. After that it kinda just didn't feel so... first experience like? I don't even know how to explain it. - I never was offered a drink throughout the one hour service (I normally don't get one, but it would have been nice to have been offered one) since everyone around me had one. - After the service was one done or so I thought, my tech put in the cuticle polish at the end, and asked me to wash my hands. So I did. After drying my hands, my nails immediately smudged. I don't think I've ever ever had this problem before. Normally when I get dip at other places, we wait for them to dry and then touch to see if it is hard and dry, then wash. The usual. But this strange instance baffled me. We even used the mini fan to expedite the drying process. Utterly confused. 3 fingers were smudged so she buffed and repainted with the top coat, and then had to use the UV light. So.... why wasn't the light used the first time? I'm a little upset with how the process was done. Nothing was rushed but the service itself was a let down. Even for a first time experience. I went in at 3:45 for a full set ombré and pedicure i was extremely patient and didn't get out until 7:15 because they were short staffed. What upset me was how much i was charged for my nails. $75 for a full set, $10 for two powder ombré, $10 for shape, $5 length(which was way longer than I wanted), and $5 top coat??!!! I mean I was charged for top coat that's ridiculous. So my full set was $105 I was astonished. You can see in one of the photos she used to different nails so my pinky and point finger looked fine but my middle and ring finger was curvy. I don't like posting negative reviews but I think this warrants it. I went in with powered dipped nails that I wanted removed for a fresh set plus a a pedicure. I will say I didn't have an appointment and would have left if told me to. Anyway, I get a seat at the manicure bar and then spend THREE HOURS from slowest nail removal and application I've ever received. I was there from noon to three. Hour one was just removing my nails. At first I was patient because I though she was trying to make sure my nail bed wasn't damage but well over hour two she was still putting on the tips. I had a movie and headphones to distract myself but it was getting bad. The manicure seats for clients are not meant for long term sitting for people, large folks, or those who have sciatica. I'm a larger person who I don't expect to feel comfortable all the time but I had to stand up after the first hour because could feel pain shooting down my hips and legs from the seats. I don't think the manicurist was lazy. I could see her working slowly trying to get it right. I just think she's inexperienced and more disappointed that other manicurists didn't step in to check after hour. I saw multiple other clients come in and go during my time and I don't remember of them stepping in. It's a small salon. I know they saw me there wincing. Only the receptionist checked in who couldn't advise the manicurist. Finally after three hours had a nail color I didn't ask for with the promise that the top could would be what I want and nowhere near the progress of any other salon. I paid for my nails as they were plus tip. My nails have a shine while others are dull. The edges near the cuticle are chipped and uneven. 8 days later my nails are already popping off. 3 hours and 60 dollars later for nails I looked like I glued on myself. So i came here this past thursday to get a new set acrylic regular polish done. my nail tech name was Mai she was such a lovely sweet lady. I needed to get this done last minute that day and she was the only nail tech available so thats why i agreed to book the appointment. Their price was decent too compared to close by nail shops in the heights area. I think it was $35 for the set with $5 take off old nails. $40 total plus tip. This is my first time here i am only in town for a few days so needed to get a new set since my nails were so grown out. the front lady who works the front is very sweet too. The atmosphere inside seemed okay but not very inviting vibe. Very quiet in there. They offered me a drink which was nice and i got a can of sparkling water. So lets talk about the nail work.. its done okay but not the best I've ever had. There is definitely room for improvement with this. I think it just needs to be shaved down more even and uniform all around. One of my nail is chipped and kinda cracked few days now but since i don't live in texas anymore i have to find another nail shop to have them fix this one nail which sucks cause usually you can come to the same nail shop and have it fixed no charge if its broken fairly recent from your nail job. Not sure if its the quality of the powder or how it was placed on my nails which caused the breakage. Overall i would come back again when I'm back into houston but probably with another nail tech. My nail tech was sweet and all but just not as skilled as what I'm used to. I think she is a wonderful person but skill wise just not how i like my nails to be personally. read more

We booked a spa party of five on a Sunday. This was actually the only place we found that had openings for five girls. There is a $100 minimum spend per person for the spa party, although it seemed the only perks of the spa party is getting the area of the room in the very back with a rose wall to take pictures and a table where we could hang out. They did offer us mimosa and other drinks but not sure if they do this for regular visits for all customers. It was overall a good experience. We walked in and was immediately greeted by a lady who was very efficient at fitting us all in based on the services we chose. I had to leave early so they did prioritize my treatments first. I did the simple manicure ($30) and fresh n go facial ($85). Elizabeth did my nails, she wasn't too chatty but was easy to chat with. She was efficient and detail oriented, got my nails done within 30 minutes. When i was done, the front desk lady immediately whisked me to get my facial, which was in a room i shared with another girl from the same bachelorette group. The one aesthetician did both our facials at the same time. Not sure how i felt about that but it didn't seem like that affected the quality of service as my face felt very smooth/plump afterwards and got a nice quick shoulder massage. The interior of the place and overall vibe here reflected the reasonable price of services. You can tell this isn't a high end spa, but it's a decent spot that satisfies the basic requirements of spa services. read more

Warning! Please read before booking here. My service was June 2022. I came here for a back treatment and was unimpressed by several things. The wait to get into the treatment room was almost 30 min. I thought to myself, it's ok, sometimes businesses run late. I didn't want to let that mess with my relaxing back facial that I was looking forward to. Once I got into the "treatment room" which I put in quotations because it was a closet with a table bed. There were all sorts of stuff stored in it including a mop. There were random items in a table. I should have just stopped and left right there, but I was really wanting this treatment and I had already waited 30 min. I decided to just continue. The lady that started on my back literally just washed my back with soap and water over and over. She used the steamer for 5 min if that. This 60 min session was over in about 20 min! I wish I could make this stuff up. In between the session she left to go fill the bucket with more water... and locked herself out. I had to wait about 5-7 min for her to get a key to unlock the door (to the closet). By this time I was so upset. I spoke to the front desk when I was checking out, and complained to them about the entire experience. They just said sorry and they could give me $10 off. I told them I paid over $100 for a 60 min back treatment and got 20 min. I also said the 20 min that she did it was her just washing my back with soap and water. There were no masques, no serums, barely anything done at all. I've had a couple treatments at other places before and this was nothing like ive ever had. It was pretty much a scam it felt like. I refused to pay them and told them to get the manager. The lady said she is the manager and the owner is out of the country, so she cannot do anything but the $10 discount at that time. She got my name and number and I got the owners. She said I can dispute the cost when she gets back in about a week. So I waited and called. The owner had no idea what I was talking about. She refused to give any of my money back. I had to file a dispute with my bank under "charged for services not received" because that is exactly what happens. I paid for a 60 min service and got a 20 min one. And the 20 min that were done were not for what I paid for. Oh and not to mention they did apologize for putting me in a closet because they said they overbooked me and actually had no room for me. They admitted the lady who did my back was actually not their regular aesthetician who does the treatments, but she was with another client, so they had to use someone else who wasn't experienced. This should have been told to me from the beginning... I would have rather just had my appointment canceled than be put through all of this. Please do not go here. They're not a reputable business. If you look at their overall rating, they're decent, but if you read the bad reviews, you'll understand what I'm saying. There are so many better places to go than here. It's very difficult to tell which is which or what they're doing that makes each one increase in price. I had the exfoliating pedicure which included a scrub basic cleaning and nail polish for $45. The machine did not have any bubbles, or nothing was added to the water, The tech was very nice, respectful, good conversation, and spoke English very well, which is a good thing normally not the case of salons. I decided to get an acrylic manicure. Different nail tech also very nice and detailed, but seem to want to multitask a bit too much. Kept jumping from me to go check people out, to going to help with the tech next to her which was new.Towards the end she had a person waiting and I felt like the in-service was rushed. And as stated at a previous post, the location needs a very thorough cleaning. Cabinets look worn down, so do the rolling carts. The nail stations could take a little organization. Went to Bliss for a facial prior to an interview. I opted for the men's facial. Living only two blocks from Bliss convenient. I've had several excellent pedicures there. The facial esthetician was super personable, described each of the steps in the very relaxing facial. Not only did she apply each step with an explanation, she offered suggestions on do-at-home quick fixes to keep my skin looking it's best. She also offered advice on techniques for massaging moisturizers onto my face so as to reinforce the moisturizers. In the end I had a great facial, but also walked away knowing how to change my facial routine. Highly recommend!!! read more

I called this merchant over eight times in the past two months attempting to redeem a Groupon. I have shown them the Groupon and the number per their request prior to scheduling. They refuse to honor the Groupon. I have put forth much more effort than should be required to make an appointment as they say they will call back but never do. Once, I was given an appointment, but nobody was there and the door was locked. I took off work for this appointment and lost money and drove there for no reason. The merchant is blaming Groupon and will not give me an appointment and then started yelling at me that she was not going to give me a free facial. Lady, I paid for a facial. I paid for THREE facials. This is an issue between you and Groupon and shouldn't be my problem. She refuses to take any responsibility and was extremely unprofessional and rude. Beware: extremely inexperienced and unprofessional staff. I made an appointment for 6:15 and when I arrived the woman at the front seemed surprised I was there. They say me down but nobody did my nails until 6:45. My pedicure and manicure were done separately, meaning I was there until 8:30, while someone who came in after me had 2 nail techs working on her and was out before me. Both nail techs were very sweet, but just like the other recent reviews, very inexperienced. For such an expensive pedicure ($37), I was incredibly disappointed. She left my legs wet and cold, didn't dry them off after rinsing them and draining the water. She only scrubbed the heels of my feet for about 30 seconds for callous removal and didn't touch anywhere else on my foot. No cuticle treatment of any kind, no cleaning under nails. It was honestly the worst pedicure I've ever had, but she didn't speak any English and a few other staff there were talking down to her so I didn't want to complain. My nails looked fine, she cut one shorter than all the others (eh, whatever). But then the NEXT day 2 of them chipped, and 3 days later one broke off completely. I figured that would happen as she seemed inexperienced too. When I was finally leaving, multiple staff were arguing about tickets and who got what service. It was an incredibly awkward and uncomfortable experience. The real kicker is I reached out to the business for a refund. I sent pictures and explained my above experience. She offered for me to come back, but I explained I do not feel comfortable going back to this salon as I don't trust the nail techs are experienced enough and the whole experience was uncomfortable. I asked for a refund and she stopped responding to me immediately. I sent 2 messages requesting a response and finally she answered to say that they do not offer refunds. Very bad business. Available to you are a variety of drinks such as a lemon drop or watermelon martinis, Cosmos, Etc. They also had an array of hot beverages, various flavored teas, and coffe. Thanks to a generous gift card from my girl posse, I enjoyed 2 visits here. I will write on my overall experience. As soon as you walk in, sign in on the clip board. The front desk staff will direct you to the menu of 2 complimentary beverages: alcoholic or non alcoholic. They have wine, mimosas, hot teas, water, sodas, and even Capri Suns lol! Then you will pick your polish based on the kind of type of manicure / pedicure you choose. They will walk you to your station where you will be tended to like a queen! The first time I came was in 2015, then again in 2017, and it is under new management who did an exceptional job at honoring my gift card at 50% of value since it had been a long time in an old system. I felt that it was fair and they did a nice job at customer service. The nail techs were professional and excellent. If the prices weren't so high, i'd give it 5 stars. I go to Bliss Day Spa out of convenience since I can walk there from home, and they usually have open slots. I only go once every few months before events/vacations so am not a regular. I have always had a good experience with the basic pedicure service but was not as impressed with my manicure this most recent time I went. The person doing my nails spoke very little English which is the case for a few of the ladies there. It never has proven to be an issue until this last time. I told her my nails are normally short and brittle, and she took that as meaning she should cut them very short. They were so short that my skin was sensitive and I couldn't use my nails for anything. They also weren't shaped very well. I came in with long enough nails that could have been shaped well, but I was not super impressed. I will go back for pedicures but may not go for a manicure given it is not cheap. It was five o'clock on a Friday, and I needed to break away from my troubles--and also prepare for a wedding--so I phoned Bliss Nail Spa and within the hour, they squeezed me in for a "Joyful Bliss" pedicure with French lacquer. Upon arrival, I felt in place within seconds. Bliss Nail Spa is pretty and pink, modern yet relaxing, fun and flirty ... and super clean. Hello, my long lost twin sister! I filled out a quick questionnaire, picked out my preferred polish out of their collection of OPI products, had a few moments to browse the small spa boutique offering bath salts, foot scrubs and such, and made way to my throne. Bliss is love at first site: The room is covered in feminine pastels, a coat rack to hang your purse (no need to throw it on the floor like other nail "spas"), giant massage chairs, flat screens. Blissful indeed. The nail technician, Victoria, offered me a beverage and some reading material. I declined. I just want to sit, chill out and, for once, do nothing. Now, the pedi. This "basic" spa pedicure was one of the best I've ever had: a foot soak, massage, hot towel treatment, thorough scrub (I didn't flinch, giggle or feel any discomfort) left my toes twinkling with delight. And let me say that Victoria is a perfectionist, carefully self-examining her polishing as she worked on my French pedi. She also threw me a compliment: "You have nice toes." She gets five stars all the way. The price ($48) was more than I've ever paid for just a French pedi, but in all honesty, I definitely got what I paid for. The quality of my pedicure was flawless (I even got compliments at the wedding), and Bliss Nail Spa is unbelievably sanitary. After each client, they sterilize the foot baths and stainless steel instruments; and all files and buffers are used only once and are yours to keep afterward should you choose. The salon and restroom were clean & didn't smell like chemicals like some other nail salons I've been to. My nail technician Annie was very sweet and gentle on my feet. She explained to me what each product that she was using on me. I enjoyed the mandarin sugar scrub. I appreciated the knowledge she had on salt scrubs vs sugar scrubs. Needless to say the sugar scrub was soothing on my tired feet. Oh and it smelled amazing enough to eat . They have plenty of refreshing drinks for their clients. (Wine, soda,coffee & water).
