I would beware of this place due to their ethics. I am a seller on eBay and sold a toilet repair kit to a Benny Le who upon receipt of it told me it was defective and asked to return it. No problem, as an ethical business owner I accept returns if my customers aren't satisfied. Instead what Mr Le did was to keep my product and return to me a 10 cent comb. I was a walk-in on a weekday. I went in and asked if they could do a pedicure. I was told yes, picked a color and was promptly put in a chair. A lady filled the basin and left me to soak. It would have been helpful had they said I'd have to wait 15 minutes for a tech to finish another customer. Once the lady began my pedi she was working like a speed demon. She was doing everything so quickly I was praying she wouldn't cut me. When she did the salt scrub on my legs she used her fingernails to scratch rather than massage. Who on earth finds that comfortable? It was awful. All the while the short haired tech worked on a customer next to me and chatted loudly and incessantly to her coworkers. It was the least pleasant experience ever. I was glad my lady was in a hurry so I could get the heck out of there. And this is why I keep ending up back at my $70 pedi spot. ‍ read more

I walk into this salon and it smells like dog poop. It messy and very small. The lady had an attitude and was yelling at us. Very unsanitary do not wash their hands and touch people's feet then grab clients phones. Took 1 hour to take off dip nails and nails were disgusting after. Supposed to get dip but already was there for 2 hours didn't have time there was barely anyone working and made me bleed. NAILS ARE DISGUSTING NOW THERE IS DIRT UNDER MY NAILS AND PRICE IS RIDICULOUS!! $60 for clear nails that aren't even done. Y'all....do NOT go here. All I needed was to get my gel removed from my nails while I was out running errands. Found this place and I was hoping it'd be quick. I've had gel removed before so I knew the process and how much it might cost. First of all, when I walked in, it was small, dirty and smelled like a port-a-potty. Second, she didn't soak my nails and put foil on them like other places have done, she went straight to drilling the paint off and several times I had to pull my hand away because it started burning (I heard the lady next to me having the same issue). THEN, after she finished drilling it off, I washed my hands, went to pay and she said it was THIRTY DOLLARS.........wtf? I've had gel removed several times for $10. Unbelievable. Visited yesterday for the first time after receiving a gift card for a manicure. With the location being so close to Highland Village, I was expecting pretty pricey services--but their manicures are only $15! I went with a French manicure, and Helen did my nails. One of the best manicures I've gotten--I just felt completely pampered throughout. The massage was relaxing, and I am so please with how my nails turned out. Helen was super sweet, and the staff in general were all very friendly. Great service, with little things--as one reviewer has already mentioned, they remind you to take your card out and pay first so that you don't mess up your nails in your wallet afterward. So today is my birthday (YAY!) and I wanted to treat myself to a nice relaxing pedicure. My nails are much too short to do anything with so I just opted to get my toes done. They have a great selection of OPI and Essie polishes, lots of amazing reds and pinks. The woman was very patient with me while I picked up and put down every color they had, even when I ended up with my first pick after all that looking :) I just felt so relaxed with the hot foot spa, the foot and leg massage was incredible, and the massage chair.... I was drooling! I was in complete heaven! The decor is nothing special but it is nice and relatively quiet with a gentle Oriental soundtrack playing in the background. The ladies were so friendly and do great work. I came with a friend who picked a beautiful pink color that when used for the second coat, turned a weird orange color. They were so sweet and let her pick a new color and start over, no charge. I thought that was very generous, considering the nail technician would have to do twice the work. My toes came out gorgeous, so now I'm ready to ruin them when I go out dancing later ; ) I wish I could come here every day, seriously. $35 manicure and pedicure in the fancy massage chair, Esse nail polish, nice ladies, and they pretty much always have an opening. They even remind you to take your credit card out right before they put on the polish so you won't mess it up by putting your hand in your purse. Once when I was in a rush one of the ladies actually took my keys out of my purse and started my car for me so that I wouldn't ruin my fresh paint (please note that I begged her not to do this, but I admire her dedication) $15 eyebrow wax and they shape them straight across not with the fake looking arch. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It was absolutely the worst pedicure I've ever had. What was supposed to be a relaxing, "deluxe" pedicure ended up being the complete opposite. The women who were giving us pedicures were whispering and laughing at me and my mom the entire time, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. One of them actually got up and disappeared for 15 minutes, eventually came back, and acted like nothing had happened. And to top it all off, two pedicures were $80 without tip. Waxing - Lynn seriously is the best! She is very gentle and careful with your skin. She uses Nufree wax for full face waxing, under arm waxing and bikini waxing. Their prices are unbeatable. Really really good! Pedicure/Manicure - Again, they are very careful meticulous with their work. No shortcuts are taken. They massage and scrub well. Use good products. Wonderful place, wonderful nails I received a gift certificate from my daughters for a mani and pedi and I was blown away by Nails Unique! The service was wonderful, the hour that I spent there went by much too quickly as it was so relaxing getting my nails done there. And best of all, my nails have never looked better :) I'm always been hesitant to try new nail places because I'm worried about sanitation but this place was spotless. They use the autoclave and they have a wall of little boxes, one for every regular customer to keep their own nail file in. Apparently it's still 1999 and nail technicians (that's a compliment to call these women at this salon that) still use machines to file and essentially sand the heck out of your nails. Apparently it's also still a time where manicurists talk in aggressive tones, raising their voices in frustration and speaking in their native language rather than engaging with idk say THE PERSON WHO WILL BE PAYING AND TIPPING THEM. Every single one of them really went out of their way to make everyone feel uncomfortable. So thank you for that, because you succeeded. So hostile and so unprofessional. When it came time to clean up my cuticles, I cringed at the fact that she just pulled the cutter right out her pocket, no sterilization whatsoever. Like hello, hepatitis is a thing?! My nails ended up coming out to nobody's surprise, not good...but obviously better than the chipped mess I walked in with. I had to go back and have the hostile, angry nail lady fix two nails she rushed through because she was too busy being awful at her job. I had my first experience with a shellac mani and pedi this afternoon, and I was very impressed. Communication between us about what I wanted was easy and pleasant. Very clean and well kept salon, with every single employee happy and easy to talk to to. The service was amazing compared to similar costing salons. Pedicure was one of the best I've had in a long time, with nice massage, not the banging on your legs type of thing, but actual massage, same with the manicure. They do shellac on your toes as well, which is impressive as many salons don't. Wide selection of quality nail polish and tools. Best part was that I brought my sleeping infant in with me and everyone was polite enough to whisper when walking by and not try and wake him up. The pedicure was okay, but the manicure was brutal. She didn't cut my cuticles and when I told her that I wanted them cut, she cut me on two fingers. Clean, everything was in individual packaging. Pedicure spa was 26.00 which is reasonable for the area. It was professional and the people very nice. As a guy my feet gets very calloused and this is probably one of the better places I've been to since moving to HOUSTON. Best nail salon in Houston! Nails Unique is consistently a clean, calming, professional salon experience. In business for over 20 years, they routinely receive a sanitation score of 100 or above by the State of Texas. They sanitize all instruments and have a wide variety of color selections from Essie and OPI in new, fresh bottles - unlike other salons where it appears the colors may have been mixed or added to. This is not one of the rushed, cheaper salons in town, so reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome and/or calling on your way there is usually all it takes. I don't normally write reviews but I think it's fair to say this is not the place to go. As nice as the owner and receptionist are I can't say the same for the ladies that did my nails. I appreciate them taking their time but not when my shellac (that's right shellac not regular nail polish) manicure chips the very next day! What's most embarrassing is I needed my nails done for a destination wedding and I noticed this on the plane. When I am out of options and on my way with far from glam nails. I should've taken the hint to go get them fixed somewhere else that same day when I walked out into the sunlight to find streaks in the polish and realized my pedicure was subpar and the bottoms of my feet were not smooth. Maybe the true lesson is don't go the day before something as important as a wedding but definitely not to this location. read more
