We found Quality Moving and Storage through Yelp, and today (one day after our move), I am happy to add another glowing review for owner Nick and movers Justin, Jensen and Tanner. My husband and I needed to move his parents from a townhouse to an assisted-living facility. It's been a stressful couple of months for our family as we help Grandma and Grandpa with their health issues, so we wanted a stress-free move. That's exactly what we got with Quality Moving; the entire process was efficient and professionally handled. This is a top-notch moving company. I will be recommending Quality Moving to friends and family in the Twin Cities.

** BUYER BEWARE ** They need to be better at communicating and scheduling/confirming appointments. I've used this company a few times for prior moves and reached out to them several weeks ago for a move that was supposed to happen 10/14. On 9/20 and 9/22 a date/time of 10/14 at 9am was discussed for this move (and by discussed, that means they said it was available and I sent "can we plan on 10/14 starting at 9am" ) - they then asked for origin and destination addresses on 9/23, at which time the addresses were sent. At no point was it communicated that anything else was needed from me to complete the booking; we had a date/time/destination, so I thought everything was on track. Then on 10/13 I reached out to them to confirm we were still on for 10/14 as planned at 9am and got no response - this message was sent during business hours at about noon, which should be early enough for a same-day response. Finally got ahold of them 10/14 only to be told the move was never officially booked on their end, and I never got a good (non-gaslighting) response as to WHY the move was not booked on their end despite there being discussions of an exact date, time and the origin/destination addresses with me asking to be put on the schedule/booked - they just said I should have known it wasn't fully booked (despite me having no unanswered texts or emails from this company to suggest anything was still outstanding or needed from me to fully book and get me on the schedule - I also don't have any access to their internal schedules or processes to just somehow know if I am or am not on the schedule). This would be a 0-star review, but I do have to give some credit for them not screwing up prior moves (not too badly anyways). That said, the last move of mine for which they did actually show up, the rep said 4 guys were needed for the scope of work, but one of them spent enough time drinking coffee and trying to make small talk that I think 3 would have been fine so long as it was the right 3. So now I'm massively behind schedule (out extra time and money to boot) on a move that was already supposed to be past tense, but is sadly still in process. If you use this company and everything goes well, that's great; if it goes sideways, good luck getting any sort of viable resolution or even a sincere apology without being blamed for things not going well or told you should have known better. As an aside, the rate I was quoted ($290/hour for 4 guys + truck) is higher than the $275 currently listed on their site and I was quoted 6-10 hours for this move with same number of guys as the last move, which took under 4 hours and I'm only going 20 minutes farther than the last time, so they're either terrible at estimating or less efficient than they used to be and now need more time to get their jobs done. ** FYI: after this review hit Angi (formerly Angie's List), they reached out to me and requested I remove the review as it could be damaging to their business - my response to that is still this; until/unless they are able to prove that this review is factually inaccurate (I have screenshots of the entire conversation with dates to show I requested to be booked for a date/ time they said was available and gave them the information needed to complete the work order on their end), then my review stands. I've done 4 prior moves with this company, and this experience is why I'm choosing to sever a business relationship and not hire them in the future.

Even before they arrived on moving day, the owner Nick was very accommodating and helped us schedule the move on the day we needed due to our house selling.

UPDATE: I found out that they post false/fake positive reviews. I NEVER received any compensation…read morefor the furniture ruined. Was ignored and dismissed. Please note the owner gives a response and thanks any positive review, while ignoring the many many complaints. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I hired 1st Class Moving June 2018 and was highly DISAPPOINTED. They were 3 hours late, and rushed through the job which resulted it a lot of damaged furniture. The crew was courteous, and assured me the company had insurance, and that I shouldn't worry about it. I wrote the insurance company (who made me feel as if I was in the wrong for even asking to be compensated), and finally 4 months later was issued a settlement letter in the sum of $120. The following was what was damaged/broken. * White Coffee Table - Multiple Scratches, dents, black marks * Black Decorative Mirror Frame - Mirror completely shattered * Two white end tables - Legs completely broken off * Dresser Drawer - Drawers cracked, scratch on the side. * Wood/Wicker Storage Chest - Side kicked/pushed in I provided pictures, and everything that was asked. I feel I was definitely scammed. The contract I signed even stated I was not to pay for travel time (duh, they were 3 hours late), and they tried to charge me for that anyway. I tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but really should have went with my gut, and cancelled it after they were an hour late. PLEASE BEWARE! For some reason I'm not allowed to post all the pictures of my damaged furniture, but please know there was a lot more.

My mom moved from Minnesota to Las Vegas and had been…read morewaiting for her things for more than 2 weeks which is beyond the timeline they quoted her. They contracted the business out to do the move. Somebody even called her from the moving company and asked if she knew where her items were when they weren't even there yet and she'd heard basically nothing from them after trying to call and ascertain where her items were in the moving process. As the truck arrived at my mother's new apartment the other night the driver said it was not big enough to get into the parking lot and he'd have to get a smaller truck. The driver also threw an emotional tantrum. A day later she still did not have her things because the driver then left with her items and is upset because my mother does not want to pay beyond what she was invoiced for and essentially the driver's mistakes. The next day she had to go retrieve her items that were being held hostage by the driver unless she paid an extra $200. She paid for a full service, door to door move and more than $2000 already at that point. Then she had to go get the items herself and move them anyway. While retrieving her items yesterday, she met another couple that had the same experience and were also there to retrieve their items being held hostage. I can't believe a place like this is still even in business.

Nasty estimator-…read more Just got off the phone with this company, and I am stunned at the outright disrespect I encountered. From the moment I asked a question, the representative snapped into a rude, condescending tone as if I dared inconvenience him by simply existing. Honestly, with an attitude like his, he could only be a third-party estimator--because he certainly lacked any professionalism or basic customer service skills. When I pointed out that their pricing was double that of other quotes, he had the audacity to laugh and snidely remark, "Well, if you want your stuff damaged, go with them." That kind of arrogance is not only insulting but completely unjustified. Lower pricing does not automatically mean incompetence or damage. Let's be clear: I explained, in the simplest of terms, that it was just one hour of moving. But no, their inflated minimum is two guys for two hours--$550 for a single hour's work! At that price, I might as well keep them around for an extra hour to scrub my truck and clean the bathroom so they could at least pretend to earn their outrageous fee. And then came the pièce de résistance: the smug boast of "26 years in business." Frankly, if this kind of treatment is their standard, those 26 years are 26 too many. Based on the fabricated-looking reviews plastered across other platforms, it's clear they've been relying on fluff and deception instead of real customer satisfaction. This isn't a business--it's a scam with a phone number. They don't deserve your time, your money, or your patience. Avoid them like the plague.

The BAD: the final piece of furniture, a dining room table, was brought in and when unwrapped the leg on the table was visibly damage. wood splintered and the leg was completely detached from the table. the leg was clear bashed into something with clear force for it to have completely broken away from the table. the mover who brought the table in denied knowing what happened; however, the table had to have broken in between the truck, elevator and being brought into my apartment. the crew leader immediately dismissed the crew and got to work on contacting the company to help place a claim. The UGLY: I have moved over 20 times in the past 25 years and am well-versed in things that can happen during a move - broken glasses, nicked and scratched furniture, etc. I have never had a piece of furniture be so BADLY DAMAGED during a move, especially a move that was 6 blocks. My frustrations with Good Stuff Moving really boiled over when speaking with their claims department. I did not opt for the extra insurance, so they were only willing to reimburse be for $0.60/lb for my table or $138. Additionally, I felt the claims agent was very dismissive of the gross negligence by the team member and was unwilling to have anyone comeback out and remove the table, as it cannot be repaired and is garbage. I never got a sense from this company that they were interested in "making this right" or going above and beyond at any level. I paid good money for the move and am out now an additional $3k for the table + costs to have it now removed + replaced with a new table. Think twice before hiring this company or at the least MAKE SURE YOU OPT IN for the extra insurance. read the fine print - my very expensive mistake!
