I am a repeat customer of Quality Moving and Storage. Most recently, my mother moved out of our home of 48 years - a home filled with antiques and one of a kind items. We had four movers - two were more senior and managers in the know and two were focused on moving and getting the job done. All staff were a pleasure to have in the house and smiling. With four floors, a spiral staircase, and over 4500 sq feet, the team was polished, professional, incredibly positive, can-do oriented and all the while focused on care and quality. When you have such a big move and such an emotional process, to have movers with such care and attention is quite helpful and reassuring. This approach comes straight from management. This is a well run business. Even before they arrived on moving day, the owner Nick was very accommodating and helped us schedule the move on the day we needed due to our house selling. He worked with other clients to change schedules and was able to really help us out. Quality moving has also stored our house goods/items in their Bloomington warehouse. My brother and I used Quality Movers yesterday and while they were very nice they seemed a little disorganized. Instead of starting with one room and and then going from room to room. When I called I was VERY specific about what items were being moved! A queen bed, 2 dressers, 2 bookcases, 50 bins,vetc! YET! When the driver came to the door he had NO IDEA what was being moved. Also we were quoted one price for two and a half hours with three men But after 1 hour and 10 minutes one driver claimed it had been 2 hours! I recommend going elsewhere! After using them and expressing our 'issues' with the owner we felt he was very defensive and not open to feedback at all. They broke two items in our move and proceeded to glue one thing back together instead of having it professionally fixed. There were several reasons we would not recommend them but I would not contact the owners about them because they simply don't want to hear it or be open to any improvements. Sad. read more

Always prompt, reliable service from Quality movers. I've been using them for years, for home moves and business. Big or small moves too. Today was two guys unloading a truck, a few years ago they did the packing, loading and unloading in four different locations when I moved my mom, they were available to move my office furniture when we moved multiple offices around and have moved entire retail stores for me. A friend had a medical emergency and they were able to help me help thier parents pack and move a whole apartment with only a few days notice. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER. I have never written a review before but after my mother's horrific experience with this so-called "quality" company, I just had to let people know about how terrible this moving company is so no one has to experience what my mother experienced with this company. Please. If you are considering using this company, just please read this review and if you would still like to use this company after reading it, that's up to you. But I would just like to warn you of how terrible they can treat their customers and how terrible of an experience it could be for you. This is my mothers second time using Quality Moving & Storage and she had a fine experience with them the first time (a few broken items but nothing too unexpected) so she decided to use them again. My mother needed movers because she was moving everything from her previous storage locker to a new one. The storage lockers where her stuff is in are very large and extremely full so she was unsure if she needed 1 truck or 2 for the move. One of the managers came out and did an assessment and found that she would need 2 trucks. After doing the assessment, the manager directly told her that he would have two trucks for her on the day of the move. Unfortunately, the day the movers came, they only came with one truck which would make it impossible to move all of her things in one trip. However, the movers stated they only had time to make one trip. My mother's storage lease ended that day so she was understandably upset when they told her they would not be able to move all of her things that day. She calmly talked to the workers and after expressing her concerns they told her that they would talk to the manager. After talking to their manager the movers put my mother on the phone with the manager and he told her that the movers had claimed that she had "Interfered with the move". Even though my mother had never gotten even close to getting inside the back of the truck, they claimed that she had gotten into the back of the truck multiple times even after being told that she could not. The manager explained to her the movers would be leaving immediately and would not be helping her anymore. My mother frantically tried to explain the situation to the manager but he refused to even listen to my mother's side of the story claiming she had broken their policy. When my mother tried to explain to him that she desperately needed her things moved today because her storage lease was ending that day the manager told her that they had not signed a contract so it was essentially not their problem and soon after, he hung up. After the conversation had ended, the movers left everything where it was and just left without ever trying to help her with the situation. My poor mother was left to tears sitting next to her storage locker unsure of what to do. She feels horribly mistreated by this company for being lied to. She is now left on her own and is extremely stressed trying to find new movers on the day she needs to move. The owner, Nick, could not have been ruder. When I called the owner just to try to talk about the situation he stated that he would have his manager call me but he couldn't assure that he would because I was not a customer and therefore not a priority. Luckily the manager did call me back, but he continuously brought up the same point. The point was that they were trying to save my mom money by bringing fewer trucks. I tried to explain that they had directly communicated that there would be two trucks but never communicated that there wouldn't be two trucks prior to arriving at the storage facility. After I kept reiterating this to explain why there was frustration, the manager began being aggressive towards me on the phone and we ended the conversation having gotten nowhere and with him basically telling me good luck. Seeing the other reviews on other websites, the owner will try to respond and make some claim as to why my story was wrong or an excuse for either his own or his companies behavior. This company has no morals and they do not think about the customer at all. If they make a mistake, they will take zero responsibility and will blame it on the customer so they can avoid moving your goods. I never write reviews but if I were you I would never use this company again knowing how horribly they can ~and will~ treat any customer of theirs. read more

The guys who loaded my PODS: were so great I thought it might be a fluke. Then a second crew: Khmong, Joe, Antonio and William unloaded my PODS and they too were excellent. read more

** BUYER BEWARE ** They need to be better at communicating and scheduling/confirming appointments. I've used this company a few times for prior moves and reached out to them several weeks ago for a move that was supposed to happen 10/14. On 9/20 and 9/22 a date/time of 10/14 at 9am was discussed for this move (and by discussed, that means they said it was available and I sent "can we plan on 10/14 starting at 9am" ) - they then asked for origin and destination addresses on 9/23, at which time the addresses were sent. At no point was it communicated that anything else was needed from me to complete the booking; we had a date/time/destination, so I thought everything was on track. Then on 10/13 I reached out to them to confirm we were still on for 10/14 as planned at 9am and got no response - this message was sent during business hours at about noon, which should be early enough for a same-day response. Finally got ahold of them 10/14 only to be told the move was never officially booked on their end, and I never got a good (non-gaslighting) response as to WHY the move was not booked on their end despite there being discussions of an exact date, time and the origin/destination addresses with me asking to be put on the schedule/booked - they just said I should have known it wasn't fully booked (despite me having no unanswered texts or emails from this company to suggest anything was still outstanding or needed from me to fully book and get me on the schedule - I also don't have any access to their internal schedules or processes to just somehow know if I am or am not on the schedule). This would be a 0-star review, but I do have to give some credit for them not screwing up prior moves (not too badly anyways). That said, the last move of mine for which they did actually show up, the rep said 4 guys were needed for the scope of work, but one of them spent enough time drinking coffee and trying to make small talk that I think 3 would have been fine so long as it was the right 3. So now I'm massively behind schedule (out extra time and money to boot) on a move that was already supposed to be past tense, but is sadly still in process. If you use this company and everything goes well, that's great; if it goes sideways, good luck getting any sort of viable resolution or even a sincere apology without being blamed for things not going well or told you should have known better. As an aside, the rate I was quoted ($290/hour for 4 guys + truck) is higher than the $275 currently listed on their site and I was quoted 6-10 hours for this move with same number of guys as the last move, which took under 4 hours and I'm only going 20 minutes farther than the last time, so they're either terrible at estimating or less efficient than they used to be and now need more time to get their jobs done. ** FYI: after this review hit Angi (formerly Angie's List), they reached out to me and requested I remove the review as it could be damaging to their business - my response to that is still this; until/unless they are able to prove that this review is factually inaccurate (I have screenshots of the entire conversation with dates to show I requested to be booked for a date/ time they said was available and gave them the information needed to complete the work order on their end), then my review stands. I've done 4 prior moves with this company, and this experience is why I'm choosing to sever a business relationship and not hire them in the future. read more

Three professional and personable young men showed up precisely at the appointed time in a large moving truck. All three men were easy to identify because they were dressed in bright green Quality Moving and Storage T-shirts. I have to give them a perfect 5 star rating because things couldn't have been any better. They had dollies, wheeled platforms and large containers for multiple boxes that they called "speed loaders". Since they were being paid by the hour I expected them to take their time. I planned for the job to take 4 1/2 to 5 hours. However, they moved quickly, knew exactly what they were doing, packed the truck in a very efficient manner and completed the entire job in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Since it was a beautiful Saturday, I was glad to have the whole afternoon to relax and recuperate from what could have been very tiring and traumatic experience. After my move into my rental, I contacted Quality Moving because there was damage to the door they used to move in my furniture. I also was missing my white 3-step stool. I saw one of the movers hanging one inside the truck and asked if that was my step stool. He said no, mine was inside the house. I did't think about it until a couple of days later when I needed the stool. It was nowhere to be found. I contacted Nick at Quality again. I was told that my damage claim was being looked into and that they would look into the missing step stool. A couple of weeks later, after not hearing from them, I called again and left a message. No response. I called again and again. No response. Several months later, I called again and was asked, again, to send pictures of the damage. By this time, my landlords had sanded and painted the damaged area, but the storm seal was still ripped. I sent pictures and Nick said he would come out to look at it and would bring me one of their step stools. I contacted him with times that would work with my schedule and never heard from him. I'm done! So very frustrating and I would not recommend them. read more

As a repeat customer, I continue to be blown away by the quality of their moving services. The first time I used their services, almost six years ago, they moved in an extremely large sofa into a very small southeast Minneapolis house after two other moving companies told me it could not be done. The second time was a full blown house remodel requiring moving and storage of a large quantity of furnitureand other household items...all went amazingly well without a hitch. And then just the past weekend, we booked them for a two hours of moving furniture without a lot of notice.
