DAYMAKERS MOVING & STORAGE My husband and I hired Daymakers Moving & Storage on October 22, 2018 to help us relocate from our two bedroom home in New Richmond, WI to our two bedroom home in Amery, WI. The weather that day was 60F. The distance between the two locations is 16 miles. We lived in the basement of the house which meant the movers had to use stairs to get our furniture out. Our new location was also in the basement of a house which meant the movers had a hill to descend to get our furniture in. We own a Serta Adjustable Bed and the frame alone weighs close to 200 lbs. Nick and Leighton made the move look easy. Our furniture was covered with moving blankets and then wrapped with shrink wrap prior to being placed in the moving truck. The movers brought our furniture into our new location and set everything up. The condition of our goods upon delivery was excellent! The final moving cost was exactly what we were quoted. The overall performance of Daymakers Moving & Storage staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely rate them as excellent (5 stars)! Nick and Leighton showed up at our home within the time frame that was given to us when we scheduled our appointment. They were both polite and helpful. They both readily provided us with the name of their company (Daymakers Moving & Storage). They came in and performed a thorough and professional in-house survey to see what all needed to be moved. They answered all our questions in a satisfactory way. They also complied with our requirements and preferences. We were provided with all the necessary documentation. Nick and Leighton were extremely careful when handling our belongings. They worked hard and fast. I have never seen anyone move quicker than these two! I could tell they had worked together before. Nick and Leighton were polite and well-mannered. We had absolutely no problems in our move! Our items were delivered on time to our new location. We did not experience any damaged or missing items. Nick offered us the opportunity to check inside the truck when the move was complete to make sure there was nothing left behind. Again, our final moving cost was the same as the one in our estimate. I did not know until after the fact that the company owner intervened to help move my items out of my apartment with two days to go before my lease was due to end. I had scheduled a move with a different company, which shall remain nameless, three months prior, and as my move date approach I kept getting the run around and was ultimately left hanging. So, on very short notice I had to quickly come up with a Plan B and contacted Daymakers to move my items and store them. The scheduled day of the move pick up, the movers from Daymakers elected not to do the job. They were short a couple of crew members. Fortunately the owner contacted me that evening and was able to hire a crew to do the move the following day. The young men showed up on time and did the job professionally and politely. Several days later when I attempted to settle my bill, I offered to tip the crew and the "guy" who I spoke to over the phone who helped get a replacement crew after the first crew bailed. It turned out that the "guy" on the phone was/is the owner. Because summertime is the busy season for movers, I will keep my items stored with Daymakers until a later date/ less busy time for movers. From the start, when I first contacted Daymakers, I was told how the move process works, which I really appreciated because the first moving company that I hired in February never told me that. Instead I was told that because I was scheduling my move months in advance and paying the deposit, there would be no problem getting me moved in late May. Despite the sanfu with the first Daymakers crew, I am pleased so far with the service that I have received from Daymakers and its employees/owner. My moving adventure began rather sudenly on 9/25/2020, and I was going to have to sell, pack up and move in less than two months (alone and at age 74). I was originally working with a large national company, but getting increasingly more frustrated and upset about how they planned to handle my move. There were logistic problems for the truck and lack of man power, etc. Then, I received a postcard from Daymakers and almost disregarded calling them, because I did not believe that a small local company could not handle a large long distant move from WI to NC. I spoke to Angela S. at Daymakers and eventually took the "a" off the end of her name and dubbed her my angel. She talked me through the plans and found ways to put my mind at ease. She was just the beginning of a wonderful experience (if you can call making a move wonderful) . Every packer, loader , driver and unpacker showed extreme care and professionalism. I was initially concerned about the expense of having two trucks and the extra people to load, but the cost was true to the estimate and came within my budget. One last comment: My late husband was retired military, so I have experienced several moves during his career. Daymakers were by far the best and most caring and professional with whom I ever recalled working. Without reservation, I highly recommend this moving company. Also, do not be put off by the young age of the packers. They were were all very well trained, and everything came through unbroken. I found Daymakers moving and storage online I picked them because of they're great reviews. Can I tell you they do not disappoint! From the time I made my first phone call through my estimate, and then finally finishing with the best crew ever. Now most people can say how much do you know about moving? I can tell you I know a lot I have moved through my 21 years of marriage to my husband over 10 times. DayMakers moving absolutely tops the list. They treated my furniture like every piece was a piece of artwork, and actually, it is we have spent a lot of time And money collecting the furniture that we have. So they wrapped everything and re-wrapped everything and were so careful coming down really tight stair cases. We had challenging homes on the pick up and delivery end and never once did they complain never once did they seem like they were struggling with my furniture. The moving team for my "long distance move" (instate) was extremely efficient in how the truck was packed, how my storage units were unloaded and my stop in-between, and how they brought everything in my house 2 1/2hrs away. I told them a few times how worried I was all my stuff wouldn't fit in the truck and every time they would listen and tell me it will fit with no problem and how the lead guy was a jenga master with loading the trucks. Turns out he was! It was a long day for the movers between loading the truck, driving to my new house, unloading and then driving all the way back, they handled it all with a smile and personable attitudes. I was more than happy with the cost. I braced for it to be more but it wasn't. It was the same as my estimate price. A friend highly recommended Daymakers Moving. Our contact, Kati, was very helpful in preparing for the move and responsive throughout. After an initial virtual walkthrough of our house, she provide an online interactive inventory tool to fine tune what we planned to move. We had no idea how many boxes we would need, so Kati helped us get a reasonable estimate. We needed furniture delivered from one home to two new locations and they were happy to do that. We needed to reschedule a couple days before our initial planned move date and they were very accommodating. During the move they carefully wrapped our furniture with good padding & heavy plastic wrap. They charge by the hour and they were very efficient, coming in under the estimated time, resulting in a lower cost for us. The whole team was very polite and professional. After receiving an estimate from Libby I feel very comfortable going with daymakers. The crew is very polite and hard-working. The ability to communicate in the customer service was second to none and I have used a lot of service industry types in the past. what impressed me most about daymakers was that an accident had occurred on my job, and let me be honest at first I wasn't very happy about it, but from the crew to the office and back they did everything they could to make sure I was taken care of above and beyond. If you consider moving an artform, then Daymakers are a virtuoso. I had Ryan, Kyle and Kenneth help me with my move. They way, way went beyond what they had to in order to make the move happened. They took down a railing in order to get big pieces of furniture up to my apartment. They made sure my furniture got to the right spot, no matter how hard it was to get the furniture there. They worked extremely hard, and yet still had a positive attitude throughout the move. This was despite some of the furniture pieces being very heavy. I can't tell you how professional this crew was. We were skeptical about hiring a moving company, but after reading some of the reviews about Daymakers moving and storage and ease their mind. Initially I was caught off guard by the price, but when it was explained what the service would entail and after I thought about the cost of renting a truck and asking some friends I became a little bit more comfortable with the value. I was put in a pinch with my realtor because my home wouldn't go through if I wasn't out sooner than I had expected. I had a lot of pressure on my shoulders and I felt anxiety about this move. I picked daymakers with little research and because of my tight schedule I went with the packing. all I can say is I honestly don't think I'll ever move without doing the full meal deal ever again. They were so patient as we had changed the delivery locations a few times before the delivery date. The men who showed up to do the moving were all very friendly and professional. Our expectations were exceeded by Daymakers team. We needed help unloading a 28' trailer from a cross country move. The woman booking the appointment was very friendly and explained things clearly. I was able to make the appointment within two days of my call which met our needs perfectly. The three movers showed up on time and we're professional and friendly.
