Minneapolis moving services are some of the most expensive anywhere I've experienced. I hope that simply means that MN companies pay their labor well. We paid $1365 + $180 tip (optional, but come on) for a 3-man crew at $260/hr (2-hour minimum), and we obviously also provided snacks and drinks (they declined breakfast). For comparison, in San Francisco it was $250/hr for 5 men. The rate was with both the weekday discount and winter pricing. Weekend would have been $285/hr for 3 men, and $345 for 4 men. There was no trip fee. Robert, in particular was incredible; he moved a 6 drawer dresser down a tight stairwell alone. They needed to remove the front door at one point, but did so without issue. They also were happy to use our own furniture pads and plastic wrap (leftover from a cross-country move). At one point, they had to back the huge truck through the alley on icy ground, and had no problems. Also, it was easy to provide them inventory by email, and easy to reach them by phone. Lots of moving companies were annoying to contact, which is partly why we chose this one. One a few minor issues: one piece of furniture was shedding pieces of wood. I think they were reinforcements put on by previous owners. I didn't even know they were there, and it doesn't seem to have affected the furniture. They also forgot a couple of items in the yard, including a big smoker we had to move on our own. It's partly my fault, I told them we were good to go. Also, we were made to sign a lot of paperwork, and at various points it was for things like "you confirm that nothing is broken and everything has arrived" and, like, it's weeks later and I'm still unpacking, there is no way I would have known for sure. It's fine, because so far we have had no issues, but if someone did have issues it might feel like being strong-armed via contract. The guys in the truck were just doing their jobs, so it's the process that is problematic more than anything. We would use these guys again!

They were trying to get my mother-in-law to sign for it while I was at our old house. I called Alec, and after a long conversation and having to be extremely firm, and threatening to write a negative review, he agreed on the original price. This was almost a year ago and I still get frustrated thinking about it. We have damaged furniture and walls, and they made our moving experience even more stressful. I hired this company to move a Peloton Tread from one room to another up two flights of stairs. I…read morewas clearly quoted for the project for $200 that included any dissemble and reassemble. The first time we had to reschedule (I had to reach out to them as they were 30 minutes late without notice to me). That was fine, we decided to do it again the next day at 9am. The first mover arrived at 8:30 and said that he was here. I went outside to meet him and asked if he was bringing help because this is a very large and heavy treadmill. He seemed unsure of himself from the get go but assured me that he had experience with Peloton Treads and that one other man was coming to help him at 9. When the second man arrived I also asked if he had experience with a Peloton Tread. He also seemed nervous but assured me that they have done this before. It was an hour later and they were calling in for help because they still couldn't get the top of the Peloton bars undone. They were going to wait for further help to arrive. Out of curiosity I went to inspect the Peloton and found deep gouges/scratches from their tools. I went outside and asked them why they were damaging my Peloton. They lied and said it wasn't them and then admitted that it was. I told them to get out and that they were not going to touch this Peloton further and do more damage. I had to shout at them to leave my home after the second time asking them to pack up their stuff and GO. This Peloton needs to be moved due to a huge HVAC leak that we had in our home that has devastated our downstairs and after three weeks of that nonsense we are finally getting new carpet in. Now I have a partially put together Peloton that is still in the way and need to exercise additional help at a very last minute because of this company's carelessness. Due to the nature of how the business owner has interacted with me by calling me a liar I would really advise to think once twice three four times before dealing with this company. I was really shocked at the service given the high level of reviews. But I'm attaching the original request, our chat conversation and the damaged Peloton. And Peloton doesn't support reassembly or moves any longer so they aren't an option. Unfortunately after being lied to several times by not one but two of his employees, I don't trust the company to come back and do the job and potentially cause more damage. This $200 job will cost me probably double just to put it together again from companies that just deal with Peloton that I was able to find. And I support a disabled child. Not the financial hit I needed. But I am posting this here for you to learn a cautionary tale from my own experience. While I hope this is NOT your experience with them, be aware that it can happen. It happened to me.

We paid $300 each time (the movers only spent about 30 minutes doing the work, but they've got a 1 hour minimum charge). Because this was such a small job, they scheduled it both days to happen after the crew had finished a bigger job in the morning, so we ended up getting a ~4 hour window for when they would show up, which worked out fine for our needs. I believe if you hire them to do a full house move or something similar, they would give you a more definitive time for when they'd show up. We had two movers come, and they were able to move everything we needed them to without issue. They were careful with our furniture, including our glass cabinets and tables, and nothing was broken. It was the same two people who came both times, so the second time they already knew where all the furniture went and required very little guidance.
