oh boy. not this one. Brought my 83-year-old mother in for a pedicure ~2 weeks ago and she was injured during the service. What looked minor at first turned into an infection requiring two rounds of antibiotics (doxycycline, then amoxicillin), and it's still not healed. When I called to flag it, I was told she should've come back sooner -- but this needed medical care, not a salon visit, which is why we went to her doctor instead. She's diabetic, so this isn't a small thing. Be careful bringing elderly or medically vulnerable family members here. Filing with the state cosmetology board as well. read more

I've been coming to QT for a while now and continue to be a loyal customer. The salon is clean and well maintained. The stations are nicely arranged without being crowded. I love that the manager is friendly and seems to remember all the regular's names. They offer all of the typical nail and toe services (mani, full acrylic and/or gel sets, fills, a few choices for pedis) as well as waxing services and pretty amazing neck massages. Pricing is comparable to other salons in the area. Appointments are taken but not required. Walk-ins are taken on a first come first served basis. read more

QT has always been accommodating when coming in on the fly, which helps with our busy schedule. We generally always get pedicures and every technician we've had has always done a great job. So I feel confident in whoever we get assigned. Their gel always lasts until the next appointment and the foot scrub is always satisfying. It does have the normal nail salon smell (from the polish odors) but otherwise the chairs are in good condition and it is competitively priced with other salons in the area. Came in today for a press-on removal, they left my nails messy and didn't even remove all the glue. My nails still felt sticky afterwards. I tried to speak up about it but the manicurist didn't even see what I was pointing out and just started trimming my cuticle, even though I was pointing out that glue was still left on my nails. The manicurist also was not gentle. She was very aggressive with my hands. Rather than properly removing the glue, the manicurist only buffed the top layer of glue off and then applied lotion, giving the appearance that everything was clean when it wasn't and was still sticky. The entire appointment lasted about 10 minutes, despite being told by the front desk it would take 30 minutes to properly remove the glue. Would not recommend a place that rushes through services without properly addressing concerns. read more

I went in to get powder dip French tip after 2 weeks of getting a full set powder dip French tip. I was a walk in and Tee did my nails and they came out very nice. Everyone was nice and I didn't have to wait long. My only thing is that the touch up cost more than the first original set that I had done. It was still worth it because I like the job she did. I received a gel manicure and six of my nails, now have hangnails. The manager was stessed & overwhelmed said it was normal and to expect it in the future! This has never happened and I question whether all of the workers are licensed? More light or glasses wore on the attendant while waxing since they always leave stray hairs. I pay for them to complete properly, not for me to continually double check. The interior is OLD in comparison to the photo & some massages chairs do not work. The quality has gone downhill over the past 2 years. In the past, I would have recommended QT nails but after too many chances, I do not recommend QT nails. They need quality workers. read more

These are the nicest people This is somewhere you can show them a picture or tell them what you're looking for and they will do exactly as you ask I love going there and I'm so glad that we've moved back to Wilmington and I get to go back regularly for my Mani and pedicures and my eyebrows. I paid $35 after trying to charge $44 for sitting 2.5 hours and getting a "design" taken off that looked nothing like it was supposed to and then cutting up my nail beds and leaving blue/white paint everywhere. I was polite through the process but also let her know in the beginning of the design process that it just was not turning out how it was supposed to and she completely agreed and said she couldn't do it. Wasted an hour of my time just for that portion. Like I didn't have time to land on a color kind of short. -pleasant staff: i have not met a rude nail tech yet. I'm not going to lie.. I'm pretty disappointed in my nails today. Everyone there was incredibly nice, but I was frustrated multiple times, and I've already started the process of taking of my nails (my appointment was 3.5 hours ago) I went in to get dip nails, black. I communicated this to my very nice technician, and I also communicated that once she took off my grown out dip, I wanted to cut them as short as possible (and that I would do it). There was no black in the color samples they gave me, and when I asked she said they had it, but was I sure? Yes... yes I am sure of what color I want my nails. Then after she took of my current dip, she said "you don't need to cut them, I'll just file them a bit" and I reiterated "no, I do need to cut them. They are significantly longer than I like".. I just don't understand pushback when someone is clear on what they want. As I mentioned, everyone was super nice. However, when I walked out I realized first - I was never asked/offered even a simple hand/arm massage (which feels fairly standard whenever I've gotten my nails done in the past), and I was also never asked what shape I wanted. I am always a "square with round edges", and these nails are very very round, and also not even. I also have a lot of extra polish/coloring on my hand itself, and I was told to just wash it off. And the black polish actually has sparkles in it. This cost $41 plus tip... and I'll be getting my nails done somewhere else tomorrow. read more

I have been coming here for almost 3 years and never had a single bad experience until tonight. I always book Hanna to do my pedicure but she called out sick, so I just got whoever was available at the time of my appointment. For starters, I don't even know the girls name that did my pedicure, she never introduced herself to me and just started to get to work. She must have turned the hot water on all the way because I couldn't put my feet in it, it was so hot. Throughout the whole time she is doing her job, I can tell she is new. She was constantly looking around and just seemed nervous. I gave her the benefit of (several) doubts that I wouldn't have to be babysitting her work, which ultimately led me to write this review. As she was wrapping up the pedicure, I look down to just take a look, and I am baffled. I had told her that I like my toes on the shorter side but not too short, and square but rounded edges. All of my toes were completely rounded or not even and too short for my liking. I had told her if she could just fix them so that they all would be straight and even, she simply just nodded her head and I never looked back down to watch her fix them. As my manicure was being finished at the same time, I looked back down and noticed that it had gotten worse. I then asked her and showed her specifically how to fix them since she couldn't see them from my perspective. Ultimately, my biggest problem was my 2 big toes, which as you can see in the picture, are clearly uneven and is how I went home. Meanwhile, the manager Kiet was standing at the front desk, hearing me tell her for the second time to fix my nails. She just couldn't fix the unevenness that she had caused, I got so fed up that I nicely said "Don't worry about it, I will fix it at home". I paid cash and wasn't even told thank you as someone will always say or any sort of apology from the manager as one should when hearing that a customer is clearly unsatisfied with the service. Maybe I was super used to Hanna always doing a wonderful job that tonight put a very bitter end to my time and money going to this salon anymore. read more

First time getting a full set here. I was there 2 days ago! Once I walked outside to different lighting I saw how bad it looked. It looks like I need a fill already! Idk the name of the lady who did them. She did not paint them to the bottom and it some nails look worse that others. Also, the nail polish isn't evenly distributed throughout the nail.
