Staff is very friendly. Generally you get whatever you are looking for. Its my go-to store after metropolitan. Generally they have good deals and I feel its good for buying non perishable stuff. The staff guides you and helps you find things if you have finding difficulty. The store is big and mostly has all the things you are looking for.Its not that far from my home, so its another added benefit for me. read more

I actually want to give this 0 stars. When I went to check out I went to the express lane by the liquor since I only had 6 items or so. Dakota was the cashier there and was incredibly rude from the beginning. As I'm walking up to the till he gave me a look like I had just ruined his entire day. He didn't say a single word only a point where to put my basket. He just threw all my stuff down as he scanned it, didn't even ask if I had a QFC card or anything. He told me my total AND THEN I had to actually pull out my card and give him it. I also needed cash back as well which I could tell from his reaction when he rolled his eyes and went into his till that having to do another task was just absolutely exhausting for him. Even after all this I still said "thank you, have a good day" which was met once again with stone silence. No surprise there. In fact I don't think he actually said one entire word the whole transaction other than to say "I can only give you one roll of quarters" as he slammed that down as well. The sad thing is I liked how close this store was to my house and go here a lot but now I will actually take the bus all the way to Upper Queen Anne instead of going here. I've heard many others complain about the staff at this location so obviously this is nothing new and management doesn't even care. Will they read this review? Not a chance. Will they care they lost one more person? Nope. But at least other customers will know how this store is. read more

This is the best QFC I have been to in my 5 years in Seattle. The true star of the show is Kristen Wilder. She is an amazing asset to the deli department but also the store at large. She greets you with a smile and helpful attitude. Kristen is who keeps me coming back. QFC would not be the same without her. They also have a great selection of produce and healthy foods. read more

The new QFC on Queen Anne has definately lost its small homey appeal from the other one near the key... Their much larger staff are ruder and no one remembers you except the wonderful employees that moved from the old store. Overall the store is great and it is nice to have some choice but the location sucks and it is hard to get to and I don't even know why they have different departments because the people don't help or like to help you... they make you feel like you are wasting their time of talking and gossiping among eachother. One example I went to the Deli and asked if they had anymore roasted chickens, they only had one on the heat lamp display a "lemon" flavor which I didn't want. So I asked them if they had any more and I could clearly see them roasting and they (2 of them together chit chatting with eachother) said NO, aren't they're any on display I said no they told me that is all they had was the one lemon. Now, first of all if they were doing their job they would have known they only had one left, secondly they could have informed me how long before the others would be done and thirdly, I am the customer and the cart of many items I was purchasing was going to be help increase QFC's payroll and their paycheck and I should have been greeted better as they kept chit chatting with eachother. I get very annoyed when I go into the store at the lack of customer service in "some" of the departments. Please note not all the departments are this way it is usually the deli and they never know the answer to anything ... like if you are looking for a certain type of cheese or meat for a special event. Therefore, I've taken my business back to the Metropolitan where the class of the workers out number the young chatting cathy's at QFC. The MET employees gladly answer my questions and direct me to the right place and they are ALWAYS willing to help! I use to use QFC as a quick stop in and go place in a hurry and thought I would give them a bit more business, but my business is going back to the MET and for a stop and go I would seriously rather visit 7-11! They have a great produce section w/ exotic fruits you don't usually see, i.e. baby pineapples, guava, feijoa, starfruit, dragonfruit, etc. The store looks clean and has a good selection of grocery items. Thumbs up for plenty of free parking in the garage. This store is 24-hrs. Knocked one star off for the dismal 'live seafood' tank that they have in the store. It depresses the heck out of me to see those poor guys in a bare tank, knowing they're going to be dumped in a pot of boiling water by someone (yes, I'm vegetarian...). read more

This is my main grocery store, mainly because it's only half a mile away from my apartment building. Pros: -Free parking! -Awesome, helpful employees -Redbox and Starbucks in-store -Fairly clean store Cons: -Prices are pretty high, especially things that aren't on sale. -The seafood area always makes me want to vomit! It smells HORRIBLE! -Limited selection on a lot of stuff -Most sale prices are barely discounted, or you have to buy TEN items for a solid discount. I've been trying to go out to Northgate's Target instead. Much better prices and selections (aside from vegetables, but I go to Whole Foods for those anyway), if those are important to you. read more

I shop at this QFC all the time. I live in the area so it is quite convenient but there are a few departments that are less than impressive. The deli sticks out in my mind. Yesterday I was getting some deli meats and was greeted by an employee who was obviously brand new. The manager was close by and kept asking her questions about things not related to my order. She frequently paused her task (serving me) to listen to her new boss. This was annoying. She was not able to keep the quantities in her head so we had to repeat what we wanted multiple times. The deli, as usual, was quite messy -- not what I expect from a well run establishment. When we got home, the pepperoni we purchased still had the skin on it -- an annoying thing to have to deal with given the price of Boars Head meats and the time we spent waiting. Perhaps the manager should spend more time keeping her area clean and train her employees when there isn't a customer waiting. I'm probably spoiled having lived in the south for 30 years with Publix as my main supermarket. QFC could learn a ton from this company. read more

Every now and then, my husband and I get a hankering for the Lemon Torte Cake from the QFC bakery -- there's nothing in it even remotely good for you (or even natural, for that matter), and it's a heart attack waiting to happen, but it's SO bloody GOOD. The only thing positive that I can say about this QFC location is that it is open 24X7. However, despite being open 24X7, their "fresh" sections like deli and veggie are not fresh early in the morning when I usually shop. When I approach employees in these aisles, they always tell me that the items will arrive later in the day. Checker Adam is a horror and refuses to provide any level of customer service. I am a senior citizen and he refuses to help me bag. When I ask him, he is disrespectful and dismissive. In my opinion, he should not be working in any customer service position. read more

Looking for a quick sandwich outside the fast-food type, I stopped in and was rewarded with their deli of pre-made sandwiches. If you're in a hurry, the prepared sandwiches offer a lot of variety, and they'll make anything to order as well. Ate here twice and was happy with both experiences. read more

I recently started shopping at this QFC mostly because I was tired of the Lower Queen Anne Safeway and the other QFC closer to me on Dravus is depressing - really needs a renovation! While QFC is typically known for being a tad more expensive, I would say that folks just need to read their circulars as they always have great sales. Most recently, I was able to purchase over $150 worth of product in the meat department for less than $70 because I went during a BOGO promotion and I had a couple extra coupons which they also honored in conjunction with the promo! I can also find necessary ingredients for ethnic dishes that one usually has to travel to several specialty stores to purchase. And my favorite - the wine department! Not only is the manager super helpful, but their inventory is very diverse, even carrying Rombauer, Faust and the higher end BV reds. I can find a pairing for everything from Captain Crunch to Lobster and Filet! I am in agreement with other reviewers who commented on the unpleasant smell of the seafood counter. Not appetizing. I usually sip on my Triple Venti Mocha from the Starbucks counter when I walk past so I can mask the odor. Love the free parking, security cameras in the garage and the elevators. I love this place. Not only is it the best option for Belltown/Lower Queen Anne/SLU residents to get groceries, it's walking distance from lots of downtown neighborhoods - mine included! Free parking if/when I feel like driving in lieu of schlepping groceries home, which is nice! They have gotten more competitive with their pricing which is awesome! They have added organic items to the line up and the ads each week are usually pretty good with a nice variety of things to choose from. read more

I like this store and for the life of me I can't figure out why so many people are complaining about a bathroom in a fucking grocery store, especially one by Seattle Center. You know why it's small and locked? Because if it were large and open, it would be filled with people shooting up all the time, so you would have more space available for your crap-taking needs, but you would also risk getting somebody's dirty needle stuck up your ass. I know a person who works there, and even with the small room and restricted access, they still have problems with people shooting up in there. The difficulty in access is by design. read more

Whoa, so when did 8 ounces of cocoa start costing $17? When they started selling it at QFC, that's when... So aside from being so overpriced that one thing was shockingly half of my bill when I thought I was just running in for about 10-15 bucks of stuff... well, it's stressful to shop here. Using coupons *they* have all over the place, you still have to get one for every single item, very annoying when buying 16 ounce bottles of drinks as I was. The people who work there have never impressed me a bit... the layout is odd... and what's with the milk thing lately? They've had to sell their milk for a dollar a gallon because people aren't buying it... I was about to try it, but it was nearly expired... and wait, it was all milk... I don't know... something was in the air and if they didn't have this drink I really love that is hard to find, I wouldn't have gone there at all... but good golly I'll stick to Metropolitan Market, thank you, where I don't get scalped for buying the decent quality baking goods instead of the overprocessed crap. Ultimately, this is kinda like that company you get when you change the name's F to a V--yeah, the home shopping one... when you have to SAY quality... you kinda have to question just WHY they say it... and I'm not convinced. read more

I don't normally review grocery stores, but this QFC should totally be called out for having really good prepared & almost prepared food. The cupcakes are really quite amazing, and a ton better than normal grocery store cupcakes. If you are looking for a gourmet style cupcake without the $6 price tag, QFC's are a total winner. The cupcakes are big (colossal) yet remain really fluffy and moist on the inside. The cake tastes a little like pancakes, which I love. They have great cupcake flavors like peanut butter & jelly, caramel & toffee, etc. The spinach dip from the deli refrigerated case is super good and full of fresh spinach, lots of water chestnuts, and some slices of carrot. I love the par-baked baguette bread as well - it's like $2 for bread that after baking is even fresher than from a bread bakery. The loaf is large enough as an accompaniment for 2 meals for 2 people. They have lots of fancy cheeses and a nice olive bar. The store itself is nice. There is underground parking, wide aisles, well lit, and it's a newer store location. The craft beer selection is almost equivalent to what Whole Foods has. I've even seen wine tastings happening in the wine area (not that it's a nice place, but pretty cool that you can get free wine while grocery shopping). read more

This rating is relative to other QFCs around the area. If I were rating it only for what it is, it would probably be a 4 out of 5 (the extra star being because it helps me not starve during work shifts). I work across the street so I frequent this place. I've had okay experiences and I have had bad ones. Homelessness is a big issue in the ... all of downtown Seattle... so there will be some funky smelling individuals lingering around the Starbucks/bakery/produce area. Sometimes the smell is so strong I have had to avoid it altogether. In terms of prices, its typical QFC pricing on everything, so basically anything you find will be cheaper at Fred Meyer or Trader Joe's. QFC notoriously charges a little extra for convenience and that's not usually an issue at other locations, But relative to other QFC's, the quality just isn't there to justify the price. Sometimes the produce is either withered or too unripe to use right away, deli items seem clumsily thrown together. and the salad bar is just kind of sad. It looks like it was put there because they were forced to and they use wilted lettuce in protest. I find myself wondering quite often just how much prepped food and produce they toss as a result of the high prices. There is friendly service usually, but the bad service is really bad. I've seen a lot of deli workers pretending not to notice people at the counter, or they concentrate on their task of making sandwiches or whatever so they have an excuse not to acknowledge customers. Consistent under-staffing means waiting in line for a long time if self checkout isn't open. Self checkout is usually an option, but with an attendant necessary to verify your own bag usage or legit purchase of a paper bag before actually being able to use it, it kind of defeats the purpose. All around it gets the job done. Groceries are groceries, after all. But I wouldn't seek it out as my store of choice. read more

Guess with all the quality supermarkets out there, this is slipping a notch. Around 7 PM Labor day we wanted sandwiches for our AMTRAK ride the next morning back to PDX. The clerk rudely stared and told us the sandwich bar was closed, but the sign explicitly stated 9PM closing. Guess we were done a favor as the next morning, woke up and got terrific sandwiches from an independent market near our hotel, of which I have been going to on and off for years while visiting Seattle and continues to strive to become better. read more

When i was in Seattle i saw this place from the outside and thought it was a nice small grocery store for the locals. When i went in i saw amazed how big it was. It was a full on grocery store with everything. one night i was hungry so my cousins and i went there to get some food. I ended up getting the QFC made Cesar Salad and turkey sub sandwich and it was pretty good. My cousins were getting wine for the cruise the next day and they had a pretty big selection. I really wish i had one of these in California near my house. read more

A grocery chain that I was not familiar with until I walked inside. This place was located just one block from our hotel meanwhile I spent the ngith before making trips to 7-11 since I thought this was a home shopping network affiliate, QVC/QFC can you see the confusion? They had a very nice selection of beers and wine. They looked to have a decent produce section and they were open 24 hours. This is a superb store. Great big deli, lots of soup choices, great bakery with some of the best designed and tasty cakes I have had. The produce department looks great, great beer and wine selection, lots of friendly employees to help out. They have a nice little lotto and western union area next to some clean bathrooms (which is always appreciated). OK.............so your probably wondering why just 3 stars after this rave review? Location and Design. Someone fell asleep at the wheel or hit too many happy hours while configuring this store. There is plenty of parking and no lines to worry about at this store....why you ask? Because the are not attracting very many customers to one of the nicest supermarkets in Seattle. Here is the problem, if you drive to this store....which the majority of people do like any other store, you want easy access and convenience. This store's parking lot is off Taylor Avenue just north of Mercer Street. If you live nearby you must take a left (north) when you exit this store........otherwise if you take a right you HAVE to merge onto Mercer street and get stuck in a typical horrendous backup.......if your jumping onto the freeway it's not so bad...............if your going anywhere else, your gonna be pissed. When you exit the store and Mercer is backed up, the line waiting to merge onto Mercer runs by the exit of the store. This means you need to hope someone will let you sneak by to make that left turn....and if they do.....you need to be looking for cars turning off Mercer and going north on Taylor (your view will be blocked by the cars trying to get to Mercer so LOOK out and be very careful. This is going to be a continuous problem at this store entrance/exit and hopefully nobody gets killed or seriously injured while making a quick shopping trip. By the way.......if your car does get crunched at this location........Werner's Crash shop is 1 block away and they have a excellent reputation. I also wonder if the low attendance at this store has any affect on why QFC did not go forward with their planned store at the Metropolitan location on top of Queen Anne hill (cash flow problems?) I realize my review has been somewhat harsh............please visit this store.......it's beautiful and has great employees..............just be careful if driving and realize if you use their parking lot (90 minutes free) unless you want to exit on Mercer street you must turn left when leaving this store. This is the supermarket I find myself going to most regulary out of all the options in Queen Anne. They have everything you could possibily need, prices are reasonable, and good quality. What makes this supermarket standout is their staff! I am always so amazed by the wonderful customer service I have experienced from everyone that works here. I can't even single out anyone because I have gotten wonderful customer service by so many of their employees. They really go out of their way to help you get exactly what you want and make the shopping experience as smooth as possible such as offering to help me through self checkout since they noticed my hands were full. read more

We have Ralphs, their sister store in CA, which are pretty much identical however the uniform and appearance is a bit more tidy, though that could be a management issue. For being a downtown store their selection is alright and staff is pleasant however I felt the prices were a little higher than they should be though that could easily be explained away due to location costs. They do have a nice specialty section unfortunately it takes away real estate from more nationally recognized brands. My best friend and I go here all the time during B-shoot or when we cross the border for shows 'cause it is a mart with many different healthy dietary options and variety. Prices are a bit $$$, however, I would rather pay twice as much for fresh fruit than a deep fried cheesecake that will make me throw up during a band's set at B-shoot. Bathrooms are clean to. I hate using festival bathrooms. Customer service is horrible...every time. Plus points for gluten free options that festivals don't have. read more

As an out-of-towner, I'd never heard of QFC so this particular Queen Anne location misled me into thinking it was an affordable version of Whole Foods. Clean, bright, roomy layout, wide variety of ready-made foods (brown-sushi rice, "superfood" salads), and organic options. Because I'm on an accursed dietary restriction, its gluten-free dessert section was a merciful godsend (although admittedly the gluten-free chocolate cake weighed like a log, but this appears to be the nature of many gluten-free chocolate cakes and not the fault of QFC). This good impression had me gallivanting to the QFC in Bellevue, which turned out to be the equivalent of a dingy Safeway. And while I didn't have a car, I completely understand the savage need for a parking lot in an urban area. read more

I only needed a couple simple rose bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding and decided to use QFC since it was so close to our venue. I was hesitant at first, I mean, a grocery store? But let me assure you, the flowers were top quality and even though an error occurred (the pick up time was written down wrong) Julie corrected her error in time for everything to work out perfectly and she even tossed in a tossing bouquet complimentary! read more

QFC's generic pharmacy program is saving me bucks where it really counts -- in my meds. Yeah, Wal-Mart, Target and Fred Meyers offers similar plans but QFC is most accessible to me in Seattle proper. $4/$9 generics? The pharmacist was nice and helpful and I was able to peruse around while waiting for my order to be filled. As a person with nil health insurance, this can be a life-saver for me whereas if I went to CVS, I'd be forking $40+ per refill. read more

I still come to this QFC regularily and I must say that their deli pizza is the best I've ever had. Fresh ingredients a-plenty! $6 for a whole pizza or $2 for a massive slice!
