Welcome to the December 2024 edition of catching up on reviews! Let's start off by mentioning that of all the places my work caters from, this place is one of the most frequent choices. Because of this, I had actually had food from this Qdoba for years without ever paying a visit. Recently we had Chipotle open on the Wilton side of the town line in this area. But if you want to cater to people and would like your Mexican fix, choose Qdoba! Their quality is actually a good deal better than what you get at your average Chipotle. And you are given more to eat. Now, despite this being something I have eaten quite a bit, the only other Qdoba location I have actually come across is the one at the Philadelphia International Airport! And of course, because that was in Philly, I opted to have a cheesesteak over their Qdoba. So yeah... Anyway, this past Friday night was my first time actually visiting the restaurant itself, and because of that, I got to choose what I had actually wanted from them instead of what I am given. When deciding what to order, one thing that instantly came to mind was to have the brisket birria in there. To put it in my buyer's perspective, I just recently had birrias for the first time at a food truck in Waterbury and I honestly found myself wishing I had had them sooner. Actually, I was originally going to introduce myself to the birria taco at Point Break Tacos and would have if they hadn't closed down the week before I was going to do it. I got the birria in a cheese-crusted quesadilla (because we all need cheese in our lives, including moi), and then I also had white rice, the 3-cheese queso, tortilla strips, cilantro, and pickled jalapeños in there. I got sour cream to go along with it, grabbed a Mexican soda, and I was talked into getting the guacamole as a side by employee recommendation. This quesadilla is cut into quarters, and the tray they served it in can actually transform into a take-home box. Gotta say, these were pretty good. They still won't come close enough to completely filling in the hole left behind by Point Break, but for now they will do just fine if I need my Mexican fix after a night of treadmill running. The interior is also pretty cool-looking if you want to let your eyes wander around a bit. read more

We visited Qdoba and were impressed with the quality of the food. We've ordered take home and have eaten at the restaurant before and found the food, quality and their service to be exceptional. They are generous with the portions unlike Chipotle and we found them to be 100% better than Chipotle. They're friendly and very helpful. No more Chipotle for us. Now it's all Qdobo. We definitely recommend ! read more

Qdoba's is a great fast food option. The prices are good and the food is as well. We love ordering the family meal. It comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans and tortillas, and then all the fixings for a taco - cheese, queso, salsa plus chips. It feeds our family of 5 and there's still leftovers. The reason I am giving them 4 stars is because we normally order for pick up and it never fails they miss items in our order. When you tell them an item is missing they tell you it's at the bottom of the bag - and it's not ‍. We've just learned to check the bags before leaving. It's just annoying that you have to double check AND almost fight with them to believe you that it's not in the bag. read more

I ordered at QDOBA Norwalk CT via Grubhub on 22nd Sep 2020. It was one of the most dissatisfied and expensive meals :( $55.21 for 3 items - The burrito I ordered (and charged for) was supposed to be with steak and extra steak and cheese sauce. It was full of rice and beans and 1 piece of meat and lettuce. - The bowl also wasn't as per the order , and had no sauce and very bland. - The quesadilla was good. I tried calling the Norwalk place and no one picks up. read more

Awful......shouldn't have Mexican in the description! My daughter brought me home an overpriced ground beef burrito..terrible. Supermarket Mexican meal kits will give you a much better experience. Don't waste your $$$ read more

huge portion sizes delicious flavorful food and reasonable places. a few years ago this spot was mid last resort they have really pulled it together these past few years. paid $12 for a monstrous burrito that I ate most of, saved in the fridge, then mucked cold later that night and it was still gas read more

Food is good. Fresh. Very similar to Chipotle in my option. Lots of choices. They allow for customizations. Clean inside with pretty good space. Usually not crowded. read more

Qdoba Norwalk ruined our private event. Sharing so no one else experiences this. I placed a catering order with one of the supervisors on Friday for a Saturday private event for food to be delivered between 2:30 and 2:45 pm. Provided my credit card info. Saturday @ 2:45 pm as guests are arriving I reach out and Supervisor on duty informs me they will not deliver the order. Said they called my number. Checked caller id and no calls from anyone on my logs. We asked if they could deliver even small amount and the answer was negative. Received a half hearted apology, but apologies do not feed guests. Please think twice before ordering catering from this establishment. read more

We ordered the Hot Bar Chicken & Steak combo for our company party from Qdoba in Norwalk, CT. Amazing! Our large order was delivered from Sam @Qdoba. He brought it all in at one time, set everything up, including the chafing pans with sterno. Great presentation, super nice, professional guy! Made sure everything was set to go! Ordered 2 salads to go, and both were fresh and reasonable deals. Though I grabbed 2 waters before heading out and I was charged almost $7. I'd expect those prices at a sporting event. For that reason I'm taking off two stars. read more

This restaurant is near perfection. I'm not Mexican but I felt Mexican when I ate at this beautiful haven called qdoba. The food was immaculate and I loved it. And the customer service was great. Everyone in the store was very friendly and this young man named Spencer helped me pick his favorite ingredients. Definelty coming back for more. read more

I have been coming here off and on for years. It has gone down hill slowly over that period of time. The customer service is friendly but that's where the good ends. A chicken burrito will now run you about $9. The last few times I have come here it is heavy on the wet rice and light on the chicken and cheese. The bathroom has graffiti carved into the mirror and the water has stuff floating in it. Tough to see from the picture. When's the last time they cleaned the soda machine? Who knows. If you get soda you would never notice. Otherwise the place looks clean. I'm left feeling about 75% full. read more

Qdoba restaurants are rare and scarce in the state of Connecticut, as they have been on a slow decline and now I know why. This place that serves food over the counter was disgusting. The service was so poor, and the employees didn't seem to excited to take an order on a typically slow night, in an underperforming restaurant, In the midst of Covid, when so many other people are losing their jobs and business owners are closing up shop. The lettuce was dry and wilted, they gave me a container of queso with queso slathered on the outside of the container. All the salad shells were distorted and as the employee examined the shells to determine which one to give to me it appeared overbaked and could not accommodate the lid to make a to-go order or the wilted lettuce. Why is this establishment closed at 8:00pm. This is supposed to be fast but fresh food. 8:00pm on a Saturday seems exceptionally early, Panera bread next door is open and they sell lunch to people over 60. read more

Qdoba is a great place for Mexican food if you're craving it and you want it fast. It's similar to Chipotle. They have a great selection of quesadillas, burritos, as well as salad bowls. However, I think what separates Qdoba from its competitors is its queso. They have different types of queso, but the spicy one is definitely worth trying if you want a little kick. The staff there is also very fast and efficient and the prices are reasonable. The guacamole is a little on the expensive side though for the amount that they give you. Overall, Qdoba is a delicious place and a great casual place to go for lunch with friends. read more

Qdoba is okay. When I first went here I got a burrito and it was pretty good. I got a naked taco salad this time and it was just bland. In fact I think that's what is contributing to my stomach pains that I have all of a sudden gotten. The menu is quite confusing. They don't have regular bowls, you have to get a naked taco bowl which I'm pretty sure is the same price as a regular taco bowl. The large grilled veggies are extra as is the queso dip. Everything was just bland. Moes and Chipotle are much better and offer more options at a lower price. read more

This was my first visit ever to not only this location but this establishment in general. I'll start by saying the food was very good. The guy making my food took pride and was very polite. The female cashier however wasn't. She put my food on a dirt "basket" and I noticed it just as she was about to put my cup down. I said something and she didn't throw the wrapper away. She didn't thank me or tell me to have a good day. Mind you I was the only one in line. I'm used to Moe's where they give you chips and salsa. I was surprised when I asked I was told the chips alone are one price and if you wanted salsa it's another. I couldn't believe it. It's Mexican food for gods sake. Any restaurant you go to, they give that you you complimentary. Don think I'll be back to this restaurant. read more

I love mexican food, and Qdoba is a decent place to get it. I would still prefer chipotle over Qdoba for almost everything on the menu, except for their taco salad. Qdoba gives you that awesome edible fried shell that Chipotle has yet to catch on to (STEP UP YOUR GAME CHIPOTLE). I would rate the food 3 stars based on how it compares to other mexican food options i've tried in the area, but the service is pretty awesome. The manager is really friendly and gave out free sample of the new mango salsa for a bunch of customers to try. Also gave my friend and I cards to redeem for free mango entrees for our next visit. I'm not above flirting for free food ;) Also, if you plan to come here often, you should sign up for their loyalty card. you get free chips and a drink on your first purchase when you use the card and then a free meal after every 10 meals you buy read more

Worst experiences ever!!! Every time we order to deliver they always miss some and we have to go and pick it up, very frustrating. If we call and ask why they cannot deliver the full order, they will blame it on the driver who delivered, they need to close this place for good! read more

Good food at fair prices. Quick online ordering and pickup. Also does a good job with direct mail coupons which you can use in store (ex. Buy 1 get 1 free, etc...). Friendly and efficient staff. read more

This store is very frustrating as Yelp AND Google both state the hours start at 7:30am. Upon arriving at Qdoba the door was locked but workers were inside the store standing around. I called the store to ask what time they open and they stated 11am. I arrived about 9am and there's people inside, but they open at 11am??? This store never seems to actually be open for breakfast and I've tried multiple occasions. I will never try to return for breakfast again. I honestly wish I could give no stars. Staff didn't know how to answer what's in the veggie burrito, were short, abrupt, and rude with customers, everyone taking the orders is pissed off, I asked for a burrito and they gave me a quesadilla, they added the wrong choices on multiple orders, and straight up didn't listen to the people ordering. I will never go back there and I will tell everyone I know to never go back there or to any other qdoba restaurant because when I ask for GREEN SALSA...it does not mean dump on a spoonful of queso. I'm in this area a lot, and decided to stop in. The food we had was ok, the portions are just really too light. We basically left hungry. I had a few "morsels" of meat in my tacos, and I'm not exaggerating. My partners full sized salad had very little lettuce. Come on, Qdoba. Try to be on par with Chipolte, who is bound to be around this area one fine day. There is NOTHING authentic about this food. The largest item being served today was ice cream scoops of sour cream. Ordered pickup of 9 tacos. Flavorful and fresh but cold. Had to reheat. And had to wait at pickup. Food, however, was spot on. Exactly what we wanted. Had we gone in the store and waited for our order, I think it would have been fine. Order ahead online though...not so much. read more

It wasn't just my first visit to this location, but my first Qdoba experience overall. Overall, it was good. The only comparison I can make is to Chipotle, and I'll say it's on a par, but Qdoba seemed a little more economical while still being generous. I ordered the queso burrito with grilled chicken. The chicken had more of a flame grilled taste to it than Chipotle's, but the other ingredients were pretty much on a par. A good burrito overall, though, and more than satisfying. One small surprise: My friend ordered a salad, and the dressing -- on the side, fortunately -- tasted like your typical bottled, preservative-laden dressing. With such a sharp focus on fresh ingredients, a fresher dressing would be a good idea. Honestly, though, the dressing is a tiny blemish on what was otherwise a good experience. Service was extremely friendly, quick, and attentive. I'll be back. read more

Me and my wife love Qdoba. We go there at least once a week. I was Extremely disappointed with the Norwalk Connecticut location. We recently went around 9:15 my wife is looking forward to getting a burrito bowl with steak. For some reason even though they don't close till 11. They were in and a steak and didn't even offer to make it for my wife even know it was two hours before closing they couldn't be bothered. They offered no compensation no free cookie nothing just rude about it and she ended up leaving with just rice and beans which we could've made it home for two dollars but they had the nerve to charge for seven dollars. This is extremely disappointing and considering were regulars not acceptable. read more

Rude staff...portions small (burrito looked skinny). Place doesn't seem too clean, kind of dingey looking... I've been there 3 times and as others posted here, the staff is not the greatest and it's just not worth it. I was surprised at the lack of ingredients put into the burrito...baby size...why? WOW. For my convenience I order via the Qdoba app. COUNTLESS times have I been disappointed when I come to pick up my food and the employees have a blank look on their faces and my food was never made. Came here for lunch on a Thursday. Line moved at an OK rate. About 6 ahead of me and it took about 8 minutes for them to take my order. I was mad to hear r they didn't have the veggie meat crumbles as it's a must for vegetarians like myself on Thursdays. I got some grilled begins instead but it wasn't the same. I did enjoy it though. This is a great Mexican chain restaurant, similar to Chipotle and Baja Fresh. They have fresh, tasty ingredients and lots of options for "toppings"for burritos, tacos, etc. We didn't love the tortilla soup, but the burrito and tacos were really good. The restaurant is spotless and the people working "the line" were friendly, knowledgable and professional. They actually seemed to like their jobs! read more

One of the items that differentiate Qdoba from Chipotle is their guacamole.... to my dismay, when I when there last week there was no guacamole and the stir fried veggies was just being put on the stovetop .... this was as 5:20 pm .... prime time for the dinner crowd. I asked when the guacamole would be ready and was told in approximately an hour .... I expressed my dismay and asked if today was an unexpectedly heavy traffic day but was told there was a new manager and the prep time was changed so unfortunately the new prep time was not sufficient to have certain items ready when the dinner crowd arrive ..... when new managers come in they need to take time to listen to their employees who know the traffic flow and know what needs to prepared to meet the customers need. read more

Sure, the customer service isn't spectacular, but the food certainly makes up for it. The employees aren't fake and smiley, but just get the job done without pretending to care about how your day is going. The whole place is extremely clean--the counters and tables and floors are shiny and nice, the food behind the counter all appears to be appropriately covered and contained, employees handling food consistently wear gloves and hairnets. The food is ridiculously fresh!!! I always get the burrito bowls with chicken, they're sooo good!!! Their guacamole is my favorite in the world, and I love the chips too. The fajita veggies are really good as well. The food is just so good it makes me really happy. Go get a burrito bowl. You'll be happy with it, I promise. They also have one of those fancy machines that can do any soda or iced tea or lemonade or whatever with any flavor which is cool. Bathroom is also notably clean! I normally hate public bathrooms but the one at this location is very clean. read more
