The meals were huge and 5 of us took part of our meals home! 6 meals with 2 margaritas and 4 non alcoholic beverages for ~$125. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic! My verse enchilada was so flavorful and despite the little spice I could taste every item in the meal! We had a variety of meals from my shrimp enchiladas to chicken mole enchiladas, a chicken dish, a vegetarian dish and a salmon dish- all delicious! My granddaughter the toddler enjoyed everything immensely!! The restaurant has many tables and a large size bar. They are great for families and small to large parties like ours which was 6 people and a toddler! I plan to return again when visiting with our family from Norwalk!

The chips and salsa were very fresh with nice heat. To eat we had steak Quesadillas and the shrimp burrito. These meals were about $14 a piece and were PHENOMENAL. This will definitely be our regular Mexican spot, can't wait to come back.

All tasted fresh, looked amazing, and the chips (which I did not verify were made in house but that's what I heard) were crunchy and did not get soggy! The meat was moist and tasty. We devoured them. Great menu options available from appetizers to entrees. Very reasonably priced. Margarita was strong and wonderful! The homemade beef empanada was so flavorful and crispy crunchy. Packed full of deliciously seasoned meat. The birra taco was so good and the sweet pork taco was divine! Festive yet cool and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was jovial, attentive and super. The only bummer was that there was no ball for the fossball table in the middle of the dining room. Bar and tables and multiple tvs to catch your favorite sport if that's your thing. The entire establishment was clean, inclluding the restrooms. On street parking. We loved it! We highly recommend and will be returning.

The chips were so bland and I was honestly shocked by how few they put in the basket. We ate them all so I asked for more (even though they weren't great, but we were hungry) and they brought another basket with a pitifully small amount again. Just crazy to me when you're a Mexican restaurant and you don't have good chips and on top of that you're stingy with them! We ordered the Mexican mozzarella sticks which were flavorless and dried out. I ordered the taco salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was very dry. They gave about a teaspoon size of sour cream and guacamole, so I had to order more which I was charged for. The margarita wasn't good at all. Sad to say we won't be back.

Rincon Taqueria in Norwalk, CT is one of those places you almost don't want to talk about because…read moreit feels like a secret. The food, vibe, and service are all on point. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and really informative. They're happy to walk you through the menu and make recommendations based on what you like. It's also surprisingly vegetarian- and vegan-friendly, they offer vegan meats so you can swap them into a lot of the classic dishes, which is rare for a taqueria. The food is outstanding. Even the free chips and salsa they start you with are memorable: the chips are fresh and super crunchy, and the salsa has real depth of flavor, not just heat. The entrées are some of the best value around, the burritos are massive (one could easily feed two or three people), and for takeout, the quesadillas literally come in a pizza box, which tells you everything you need to know about portion size. Their appetizers, queso, and house-made hot sauce are all excellent and full of flavor, not just spice. Most times I've been, the service has been fast, even when they're busy. The interior is clean, colorful, and decorated with authentic touches, so it feels fun and relaxed whether you're dining in or just grabbing takeout. If you're searching for great Mexican food in Norwalk, big portions, vegetarian/vegan options, and friendly service, Rincon Taqueria is easily one of the best spots around. Highly recommend.

Alma Bistro, Cocina Latina is a Latin fusion restaurant in Norwalk, Connecticut, celebrated for its…read moreflavorful, authentic dishes with a modern twist, blending South American, European, and Asian influences. Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.

We were handed the menus immediately and the waiter poured us a glass of water. I ordered the Birria Tacos and my friend ordered the Steak Fajitas. The food came out in about twenty minutes and the Steak Fajitas came out sizzling and my Birria Tacos looked amazing. The Birria Tacos were filled with tender meat, great flavors, and seasoned to perfection. The only con I would have to say about the Birria Tacos were that they could of been cruncher and I really don't like Corn Tortillas because it leaves that corn taste in your mouth, and there kind of grainy. I would have preferred it to be on a Flour Tortilla. My friend said her Steak Fajitas were delicious. We even talked about the food the next day to plan another day to go back. The customer service was great and the staff were friendly and outgoing.

They had a lot of unique flavors and the prices were about industry standard. The food was a little above average. The food seemed good quality and had a nice taste. The people were super nice. I really liked all of them. They were very genuine and wanted to help and offer great service! The prices were about average for the area. The ambiance was interesting. It actually reminded me a lot of the hole in the wall places I saw back in Mexico. It's nothing special, but not bad. You can tell it's designed to turn into a dance club at night though. So the tables and chairs are kind of run down. Overall very good and I'll come back.
