Quesadilla, nachos, and tacos!
Justin O.

How does Chef Tony's not have more reviews!! Bar none the best Mexican in town! Food truck outside Mr Frostys. Carnitas are next level! Beef to die for as well! You absolutely can't go wrong. Not a ton of options: meat choices of chicken, beef, carnitas, shrimp, and chorizo. Nachos, tacos, burrito, and quesadillas. My mouth is watering just writing this. We went twice this week too!

Certainly a lot of both the food truck and taco rage these days. And we all benefit from the tasty offerings, everything from El Charitto to Tacos Azteca and everyplace in between. Certainly a win-win for all! And this place where I stopped for tacos upon the urging of the wife is a winner! Just my humble opinion but excellent tacos! The corn tortillas were soft and flavorful, the filling perfectly seasoned, not greasy, fresh and tasty! They would no doubt benefit from a location other than across from the cemetery but pulling off the road is easy. Give it a go, you'll likely be very very pleased.

Amazing nachos by chef Tony.

Where do you go when you want Mexican food and ice cream at the same time? You go to see Chef Tony right outside of Mr. frosty here in Norwalk! Everything is very fresh very authentic and very delicious you can't go wrong. He should definitely be on diners dives and drive-through's. No regrets

Have passed this truck and have never stopped until today! Wish I would have stopped sooner!!! I ordered a quesadilla...it was so tasty and fresh! I look forward to going back and trying other things on the menu!

Carnitas Nachos. They're delicious.

It was a beautiful day the seating would have been perfect but nothing worked out. We were given happy hour and regular menus both lacked options of a Taco bar it was very basic however i was starving so i tried to make it work, my drink spicy chica, was awful, i didn't taste any ingredients listed it was like a bitter oj, i opted for a spicy margarita instead and that was just ok, i wanted to try the barria taco they were out of flour tortillas and advised nothing with flour was available. We then decided we'd try a few tacos but the happy hour and regular menu didn't allow selecting different tacos so you'd have to get the same for a pair, a bummer! I wanted to try different tacos, so now my sister and I are annoyed and hungry so we opted to try the chicken which was awful, flavorless, soggy, cold, at that point we asked for to go cups to take our drinks and find food somewhere else. This place has some work to do, it disappointed.

The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and really informative. They're happy to walk you through the menu and make recommendations based on what you like. It's also surprisingly vegetarian- and vegan-friendly, they offer vegan meats so you can swap them into a lot of the classic dishes, which is rare for a taqueria. The food is outstanding. Even the free chips and salsa they start you with are memorable: the chips are fresh and super crunchy, and the salsa has real depth of flavor, not just heat. The entrées are some of the best value around, the burritos are massive (one could easily feed two or three people), and for takeout, the quesadillas literally come in a pizza box, which tells you everything you need to know about portion size. Their appetizers, queso, and house-made hot sauce are all excellent and full of flavor, not just spice. Most times I've been, the service has been fast, even when they're busy. The interior is clean, colorful, and decorated with authentic touches, so it feels fun and relaxed whether you're dining in or just grabbing takeout. If you're searching for great Mexican food in Norwalk, big portions, vegetarian/vegan options, and friendly service, Rincon Taqueria is easily one of the best spots around. Highly recommend.

A genuine Mexican Bodega - in Norwalk. Here's something I…read moredidn't expect to find in CT - a good old-fashioned authentic-as-they-come Mexican bodega, complete with a tacqueria in the back where you can get some of the best tacos you'll find this side of Mexico City! So, it's like your usual Bodega - You order in the back (in Spanish. Otherwise they get flustered, and then go find someone who speaks English. Then again "dos Tacos al pastor" ), and pay in the front when you're all done. In between, you get wait for your tacos (or sopas, or plates, or whatever), and once you get them, load them up w/ whatever you need (lime and salsa for sure!) from the salsa bar, and then demolish the lot in a couple of quick bites! Do note, the orange salsa at the salsa bar is DOOM. Be warned. Then again, the radishes and limes help recover from DOOM. Anyhow, experiment if you can. The lengua and tripa are off the charts, as is, well, everything else. Do note though, the cuaritos and carnitas are pretty fried, so you'll need a lot of lime/radish/salsa to get it to the right place The bottom line though is that this place is legit. I've been looking for it since I left Chicago, and now I've found it - have fun!!!

They have tables and chairs if you prefer to eat there. The shop sells Mexican food and other related grocery items. When I entered, I was greeted warmly and ordered the Birria, Al Pastor, and Chorizo tacos. It took about fifteen minutes for my order to be ready. When I opened it, I was pleased to see the tacos were generously filled with meat and toppings. As I took my first bites of the Al Pastor and Chorizo tacos, I noticed the meat was a bit overcooked, almost burnt. Despite that, the tacos still had a lot of flavor, though the overcooking affected the texture. The Birria taco was decent but a little dry. The customer service was very friendly and attentive, which I truly appreciated. I might give their tacos another try in the future. For now, I'll rate my experience as 3 stars.
