We came in search of good, quality nachos and we found them! Piled high nachos with cheese (cheddar) refried beans, shredded pork, sour cream and guacamole. Perfect! All tasted fresh, looked amazing, and the chips (which I did not verify were made in house but that's what I heard) were crunchy and did not get soggy! The meat was moist and tasty. We devoured them. Great menu options available from appetizers to entrees. Very reasonably priced. Margarita was strong and wonderful! The homemade beef empanada was so flavorful and crispy crunchy. Packed full of deliciously seasoned meat. The birra taco was so good and the sweet pork taco was divine! Festive yet cool and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was jovial, attentive and super. The only bummer was that there was no ball for the fossball table in the middle of the dining room. Bar and tables and multiple tvs to catch your favorite sport if that's your thing. The entire establishment was clean, inclluding the restrooms. On street parking. We loved it! We highly recommend and will be returning. read more

Fantastic food and atmosphere in this place. The lunch specials were reasonably priced and had a good amount of seriously delicious food. The service was prompt and pleasant to interact with. Pastor tacos here are out of this world! Highly recommend! read more

Went there for a quick lunch and was busier than usual, but everything went seamless. Chips and salsa was a good starter. Salsa was incredibly fresh and seem like they just made it in the last 15 minutes. Next was a chicken burrito which for $15 seemed fair but a little bit small for my liking. Have baby tacos for $6 each. Very fresh but very small . Wish they would have a medium large and extra large sizes for their meals and obviously charge accordingly. Their basic margarita was delicious and they use a mid Range Nonenon-offending tequila. Yeah, ambience is always the same - lots of sports on about 10 TVs, which could almost be considered a sports bar. Look forward to going back again for another dish or two. read more

Came on taco Tuesday. Right now the price is $25 for all you can eat tacos and one margarita or beer included. You can choose from nine different tacos and can order up to three at a time. I tried all of them, I really was disappointed in the fish taco as it seemed just like a fish stick. My favorite was the birira and the chicken. Good service on the busy night. There was a DJ also which made it a little bit loud, but festive atmosphere. Definitely a great value, the flavors of the tacos weren't stand out, but pretty good food overall and nice atmosphere read more

This is one of the best burritos I've ever had and I'm very specific about my burritos. The sauces they have really made it good. I still think about it years later. I'm from the west coast and every time I try a burrito here it doesn't compare. read more

Second time I've been here. I wanted fish tacos and they were good, not great. The amount of fish was smaller than I'd have preferred. There was a lot of guac, tomato's and lettuce which overpowered the food. read more

Excellent food! Six of us (from loves-spicy to spice-averse) had totally different meals and were all very satisfied.

Craving California tacos but visiting family in the area, found Taco Tequila on DoorDash and ordered on a whim. Oh what a delicious whim it was. The Sweet Pepper Steak Quesadilla had a decent amount of steak and fillings. The steak was slightly sweet and spicy, a good blend and nicely grilled. The portion was enough to split for leftovers. Carne Asada Taco was packed and worth the cost, but for me it was the Beef Birria that stole the show. Perfectly seasoned and the right amount of sauce. Certainly a bit messy, as you'd expect with Birria, but it made my taste buds dance in the best of ways. My only regret is I only ordered once during my visit, and I've been daydreaming on and off of the Birria. Until the next trip home! read more

Solid 3.5 stars. It's a bar with some tables as well as having a pickup/take out window. The chips are fresh and guac was good but needed salt, lime, and cilantro. The street corn was good, not the best I've ever had but still good. The fish taco was tasty. I enjoyed the slaw and it was a small slice of fried fish that was well seasoned. Absolutely nothing wrong, but it wasn't incredible either. read more

My brother ordered these Beef Birria tacos online all the way from Cali for me after a long day. (best bro ever Ik ik lol) Also this was one of the only places that was open late night in CT and this place did not disappoint me. This taco was the wrap up that I needed that night. I loved how juicy and warm it was when it arrived at my door step. The Birria had some meat in it as well and they gave some limes and extra onions and cilantro on the side. I would order again for sure!!! read more

You know, I have been looking for a great place to get a burrito. Typically they are just rice and beans, and tend to be underwhelming. But at Taco Tequila, I was surprised. I went for lunch, and our waiter, also likely the owner, did a great job of explaning some of the menu and with some questions we had. I went with some wings (buffalo) and the burrito (against my better judgement). The wings were great. They were hot and cooked well, and flavored well. They may not have been the BEST wings I have had, but you wouldn't expect that at a place that specializes in tacos. The burrito was excellent, pastor with pineapple. It was large, with cheese, rice, beans, pico. The lunch special came with tortilla chips, and they laid out 4 sauces including sour cream on the table. The ranch option, green and red salsas were a nice addition to make the burrito even more amazing. It was a great burrito, and hit the spot. It was a nice option to have so close by, and I look forward to paying them another visit! read more

WATERED DOWN SAUCE! I have been a loyal taco tequila customer since they opened but today I'm so disappointed. My Dad and I got a chicken burrito and a steak burrito with extra red sauce on the side (his favorite). Today the sauce literally tasted like flavored water. Awful. The burritos are good but the portions are smaller than they used to be, the price is higher, and now they are watering down their sauces. I understand there's inflation and prices have to go up, but don't lower the quality of your food :( I'm SO disappointed because this was my favorite take out spot read more

Super cute hole in the wall my coworkers and myself got take out from here. The nachos were the best out of the order. They had refried beans, guacamole, cheese, chicken, pico, and cilantro. The tacos were all good, we tried pork, fish, shrimp and beef. The fave taco was fish nice and crispy and airy. The salad bowl was super small and the meat was ice cold which made it hard to Eat. Parking is bad as it's on a Main Street but you can park On side street by Dairy Queen (don't park in Dairy Queen lot you will be towed) They do take credit card read more

We are from California and frequently eat at Latino restaurants. Our meal today was as good as any we have ever had. The enchiladas were delicious, and served in generous portions. Casual taco place with friendly employees and clean seating area. Pretty dang fast service, average prices for the area (elevated compared to the rest of the country). They recommended the sweet pork burrito and it was tasty. My hubby had the vegetable tacos, and he liked them. They had various veggies inside including some radishes and cucumber on the side. Both dishes were served with small containers of hot red salsa, medium tomatillo salsa, and sour cream. The burrito also had a cilantro ranch sauce that only goes with the sweet pork filling. The only thing I didn't like was the door slammed loudly every time it was opened. Lots of delivery drivers coming and going made it a loud meal. read more

Great tacos! Everything tasted delicious, and traveled well! I would recommend this place for anyone looking for good food.

Got the birria tacos, they were excellent, shrimp were good also. Very nice people working there.

Tacos were all good.... at very fair prices. Nice workers at the take-out counter. Worth a try.

Finally had the chance to try this place; through delivery of course. We ordered the carne asada salad and burrito to try. The meat were seasoned nicely and they both tasted great. The guac was a little bland for my liking. Also got the tres leches cake which was really good. Will def order from here again. read more

Found this place while driving around trying to learn the neighborhood and I am so glad I stopped in. "Real Mexican Food, by Real Mexicans" that logo on the building windows got me and they are 100% on being Real Mexican Food. I liked the staff and the Margaritas are amazing. Disappointing. We had not been in Norwalk in a while, looking for dinner and ended up in this part of town. (Should have gone to The Lime or the soup place next door. The place looked nice inside and I give them credit for nice themed decode that drew us in the place. Very generic food, nothing interesting at all. - Sauces (in bottles) - Meh - Jar? - Quesadilla - I could have done better at home - Nachos - credit for trying to make a sauce instead of piling high with cheese and broiling, but that was it. No reason to come here. About as uninspiring Mexican food you can get.... and I was not expecting that much! read more

Ugg, I'm so disappointed about my recent visit. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and since it was my first visit I asked what was inside, and the staff said it's just chicken and cheese. That sounded pretty plain, so I asked if I could add a side of guac and pico. The guac and pico came with chips, which were thick and hard to eat. I had one or two before I was done. My quesadilla had to be made twice, since the first time it came out it didn't have the chicken I ordered. It did come with pico and lettuce as well as a variety of sauces, despite what I was told. Wish I knew that in advance, and I wouldn't have ordered the sides. Based off what I ordered, I assumed it would be about $10 - $12 dollars, but when everything was done, I paid $17.27, including tip. When I looked at the receipt, I was charged $3 for guac, which I expected, but I was also charged $3 for pico. Based off the food and cost, I expected more. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while, i see all you can eat and im there!!! What makes their all you can eat different is that they have so many taco options to choose from and they dont limit you, meaning if you can for 10 tacos of all different varieties your first go, they will give them to you!!! I went with the kiddies and wasn't disappointed, I have to say their staff is super attentive unlike the other well known all you can eat taco spot in norwalk where you have to beg them to come back to your table for more tacos...these folks know when youre done and are ready to get you more food. Really GREAT lunch special!!! I came here recently with my boyfriend to grab some lunch and this place has such a GREAT lunch special deal! The outside of this place looks like nothing special but once you walk in the place looks really nice and has a great vibe to it! The customer service here is really good too! Because it was only us and another group of 2 the cashier first served us chips with so many different sauce options and even told me which she recommended (so kind of her)! The chips and sauces were really good and fresh. I decided to go with the 3 steak tacos for my lunch special but had no clue it came with rice and beans. I WAS SO SHOCKED! The presentation, the taste, and everything overall about my dish was incredible! My boyfriend also ordered a burrito which to me looked a bit small but he said it was a good size for him and he really enjoyed it too. I wanted to get a picture but he was too hungry and couldn't wait HAHA... I would for SURE recommend this place to anyone! Definitely a 5/5 rating and hope to come back to this place soon:) read more
