Came on taco Tuesday. Right now the price is $25 for all you can eat tacos and one margarita or beer included. You can choose from nine different tacos and can order up to three at a time. I tried all of them, I really was disappointed in the fish taco as it seemed just like a fish stick. My favorite was the birira and the chicken. Good service on the busy night. Craving California tacos but visiting family in the area, found Taco Tequila on DoorDash and ordered on a whim. Oh what a delicious whim it was. The Sweet Pepper Steak Quesadilla had a decent amount of steak and fillings. The steak was slightly sweet and spicy, a good blend and nicely grilled. The portion was enough to split for leftovers. Carne Asada Taco was packed and worth the cost, but for me it was the Beef Birria that stole the show. Perfectly seasoned and the right amount of sauce. Certainly a bit messy, as you'd expect with Birria, but it made my taste buds dance in the best of ways. My brother ordered these Beef Birria tacos online all the way from Cali for me after a long day. (best bro ever Ik ik lol) Also this was one of the only places that was open late night in CT and this place did not disappoint me. This taco was the wrap up that I needed that night. WATERED DOWN SAUCE! I have been a loyal taco tequila customer since they opened but today I'm so disappointed. My Dad and I got a chicken burrito and a steak burrito with extra red sauce on the side (his favorite). Today the sauce literally tasted like flavored water. Awful. The burritos are good but the portions are smaller than they used to be, the price is higher, and now they are watering down their sauces. You know, I have been looking for a great place to get a burrito. Typically they are just rice and beans, and tend to be underwhelming. But at Taco Tequila, I was surprised. I went for lunch, and our waiter, also likely the owner, did a great job of explaning some of the menu and with some questions we had. I went with some wings (buffalo) and the burrito (against my better judgement). The wings were great. They were hot and cooked well, and flavored well. They may not have been the BEST wings I have had, but you wouldn't expect that at a place that specializes in tacos. The burrito was excellent, pastor with pineapple. It was large, with cheese, rice, beans, pico. The lunch special came with tortilla chips, and they laid out 4 sauces including sour cream on the table. The ranch option, green and red salsas were a nice addition to make the burrito even more amazing. It was a great burrito, and hit the spot. Super cute hole in the wall my coworkers and myself got take out from here. The nachos were the best out of the order. They had refried beans, guacamole, cheese, chicken, pico, and cilantro. Casual taco place with friendly employees and clean seating area. Pretty dang fast service, average prices for the area (elevated compared to the rest of the country). They recommended the sweet pork burrito and it was tasty. My hubby had the vegetable tacos, and he liked them. They had various veggies inside including some radishes and cucumber on the side. Both dishes were served with small containers of hot red salsa, medium tomatillo salsa, and sour cream. The burrito also had a cilantro ranch sauce that only goes with the sweet pork filling. "Real Mexican Food, by Real Mexicans" that logo on the building windows got me and they are 100% on being Real Mexican Food. I liked the staff and the Margaritas are amazing. Ugg, I'm so disappointed about my recent visit. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and since it was my first visit I asked what was inside, and the staff said it's just chicken and cheese. That sounded pretty plain, so I asked if I could add a side of guac and pico. The guac and pico came with chips, which were thick and hard to eat. I had one or two before I was done. My quesadilla had to be made twice, since the first time it came out it didn't have the chicken I ordered. It did come with pico and lettuce as well as a variety of sauces, despite what I was told. Wish I knew that in advance, and I wouldn't have ordered the sides. Based off what I ordered, I assumed it would be about $10 - $12 dollars, but when everything was done, I paid $17.27, including tip. When I looked at the receipt, I was charged $3 for guac, which I expected, but I was also charged $3 for pico. Based off the food and cost, I expected more. read more

The outside of this place looks like nothing special but once you walk in the place looks really nice and has a great vibe to it! The customer service here is really good too! Because it was only us and another group of 2 the cashier first served us chips with so many different sauce options and even told me which she recommended (so kind of her)! The chips and sauces were really good and fresh. I decided to go with the 3 steak tacos for my lunch special but had no clue it came with rice and beans. I WAS SO SHOCKED! The presentation, the taste, and everything overall about my dish was incredible! My boyfriend also ordered a burrito which to me looked a bit small but he said it was a good size for him and he really enjoyed it too. Quite a variety of Jarritos, with the usual coke and water choices. So after you tell them your choices, you pick a table. Chips, Pico de Gallo and condiments are served. These were quite good fresh, altho I thought they could have used some lime juice. Our food choices arrived shortly, but then we were the only ones there. I ordered the beef quesadilla with rice & beans ($7.99 + $3) and the hubby ordered the trio of tacos with rice & beans ($7.99 +$3). The quesadilla tasted plain, nothing special. The rice was done well, but the black beans also tasted plain (a little garlic, onions and salt would help). The portions also were sparse. So overall, I left a bit hungry and underwhelmed. My husband said the tacos were on the small side, not spiced and seemed to be missing something. He also thought it seemed the sides were small. Usually, we would expect to bring something home, not in this case. Well, perhaps this is best as a lunch treat due to the portions.
