I've become a regular here over the years, and I can't rave about this place enough. The ingredients are high quality, portions are very large, and the free quac/queso is always appreciated. On top of that, service at this place is undefeated. The manager (I believe), D, is very friendly and always walking around conversating with patrons and asking how their meals are. He is the heart and soul of that place, and I look forward to seeing him every time I come in. Finding fast food joints with this level of attention to customer service is incredibly rare these days, and it's what keeps me coming back time and time again, on top of the great meal. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that the mango salsa is seasonal. That stuff is so good, it should be illegal to not serve year round. read more

I had my first ever experience with Qdoba last night and it was fantastic. The staff really blew it out of the park, they were patient, and super friendly. So I love nachos. Nothing fancy for me just ground beef and cheese. This place is close to where I work so it's no surprise I go here to get nachos. To be completely honest, it's hit or miss. I went Tuesday and asked for extra Queso. The employee sprinkled a little on there. I was thinking I'm asking doe this and I'm ok with paying for it but what I was given was not considered "extra" I went on Wednesday and the nachos were perfect. I didn't have to ask for anything "extra". There is always management there when I go but they just sit at tables with papers and a laptop. They don't fraternize with the patrons. I smiled at a guy with a QDOBA shirt sitting at the table with the papers and laptop and I was just stared at.......so much for warmth. I only get the nacho from there and they are good. I remember when this place first opened. I find it is not the same now. I haven't been here in a while as it's not convenient to where I live but also because there are many other fast casual places to get good Mexican eats. Unfortunately with this visit I will probably not come back for a while, but all was not bad. I'll start with what didn't have me wanting more (or perhaps just disappointed me a little) so I can end on a good note. While the consistency of the queso was good and thick, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it, I found that it left a lot to be desired, and had that powdered cheese taste like used on ballpark nachos. If I can stop eating queso after a couple of chips, there is a problem, because chips and queso is something that is usually like crack for me. I had the 3 Street Style chicken tacos. They had good flavor and tasted relatively fresh, but I was disappointed that they were only served with chopped purple onions instead of the pickled red onions as advertised. I definitely think the pickled onions would have added a nice pop of flavor. I am a big fan of soft corn tortillas, and while these tasted just fine, I think they could be toasted a little more to help be a good vessel for the taco ingredients (but this is perhaps a personal preference). So--nothing was a total fail, but I think there is definitely room for improvement considering how solid the competition is. I will also say that, on another positive note, the staff were extremely friendly and did a great job--kudos to them and whoever trained them. I will eventually make my way back there and probably try something different. I hope that in the meantime it will return to the place I once remembered. read more

I could barely hear the girl that was trying to make my order and had to ask her to repeat herself several times. I remember eating here very often years ago. It's not the place I remember. The food was okay and overall the service was just okay. I recall the food being more flavorful back when. It could also use some tidying up. While dining I heard two voices arguing and to my surprise it was the manager and an employee. They were really going at it and tensions were high. I decided after having a bad experience awhile ago in another state to give qdoba another try. I went with my boyfriend and got a salad bowl. He did as well. The shell was cute crispy and delicious but everything else lacked flavor and was simply mediocre. I however would say the service at this location is great. The ladies were super helpful knowledgeable and patient which was lovely as I hadn't been in years. I probably will only return if it's the only option because I know the service was great. I came in a while back after a stroll around the LSU lakes, and luckily the business was pretty dead at the time. It took the manager a while to greet and help us after he saw me standing in front of the counter. When he did help, he seemed to be in an "okay" mood, but not a hospitable one. I started ordering and another employee who was finished with his other job assignment helped my friend behind me. The other employee seemed to be in a much better mood and was very helpful and showed a positive attitude. It never takes too long to get our food since the employees make it as you walk through the line. We grabbed some extra sauces (feee, guacamole, and sour cream (which were extra). What both team members failed to do was ask if we had a rewards account when checking out, which sucked because sometimes you just forget all about that kind of stuff. Overall, our food was fresh and tasty. There could be some minor improvements with the customer service, but other than that, we had a pleasant visit to this Qdoba location and will be back since it's one of my favorite spots for Mexican. read more

Before I begin I want to answer the question that all of you will ask. I have no idea how to pronounce the name of this place. QDOBA is like a Subway except for Mexican food. It is similar to Chipotle, Does, Izzo's and whoever else does the made to order Mexican thing. I stopped in to this location a few weeks ago because I was in BR and needed a quick lunch. I thought I had lucked out when I walked in as there was no line, but I was wrong. Some guy was ordering a bunch of tacos and it seemed like the staff were moving in slow motion. His order seemed sort of simple, but it took forever. Once it was my turn I had decided on a steak burrito bowl. They had all the toppings one would expect and all were fresh. The steak was just ok and probably not as good as similar chains I've visited. One thing that was good was their fresh jalapeños. They were huge slices of crispy and spicy goodness. I'm betting they cut them in house. If you are in BR and want a cheap Mexican meal made to order, this place may be one you should visit. read more

This place was surprisingly good. I went to another location (in Nashville, TN), which was a bit of a disappointment. These multi-chain restaurants are not always my 1st choice. I've passed this one multiple times because I'm always at the plaza it's located in and noticed I hadn't reviewed it yet. So, it was time! It was lunchtime and I was hungry and so was my hubs. I had my eye on the taco salad because I go absolutely weak in the knees for those taco shells (which is actually a fried tortilla) and my husband ordered the taco trio (great price $9 & some change). It was a lot of food! Enough for 3 moderately hungry people. We even had enough leftovers for our daughter (for an after school treat). I ordered my taco salad with steak, beans, cheese, pico de gallo and corn. The only thing I wish they had here were some darker greens for the base,. I am not a big Romaine or Iceberg lettuce fan. The tacos were fully stuffed and for the price was a great deal! So, what not a 5-star? I think there are a bit of cleanliness issues (but not much) and customer service was just spotty. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back. It was a lot of food (for us)... not heavy eaters, so I really couldn't even finish that bowl. They do provide catering for those who are interested in that option for a party. For a unit price of $3.16 per taco I would have to say the quality and quantity is a little bit too low to justify the price. I would think $2.50 would be closer to a fair price for what they offer, but who knows, maybe they wouldn't be able to pay the rent at that price point. The establishment was clean and the customer service was pleasant. I wish I could give this place more than five stars. We ordered catering for 50 people for our wedding reception. We started by physically going to the restaurant, where we were greeted by Don George , who I assume is the franchise owner. Super, super helpful. He walked us through the whole process and made suggestions accordingly. There were a few details we did not have about the venue, so he told us to just call him at a later date with the details. A quick call back to Mr. Don Was all that was needed to finish the plans. He immediately knew who I was and what he needed from me. He is super personable and organized. We got the details concrete and we were ready to go. Mr. Odell delivered the food and set it up. He was quick, efficient and very, very friendly. Very good communication on his part. He started getting it set up before I even made it to the hotel! It was such a relief and so very helpful. Next, the food. Y'all. It was so good. Like, cannot even describe how good this was. We did the hot taco bar, which included everything. Chicken, steak, soft and hard shell tacos, two quesos, two salsas, chips, lettuce, pico, cheese, guacamole, cutlery and bowls. Oh my goodness, it was everything we needed. We ended up having a few no-shows so we have been drowning in leftovers and it's the best thing ever. The portions are SO generous! Seriously. If you like Mexican and want enough food to feed a lot of people, go with Qdoba. They know their customers and how to run a successful business. read more

Now, the mutt has a lot of advantages, but with this place in Towne Centre, it affects "upper scale," but it is really "generic-ordinary." I honestly thought it was an upper scale Mexican restaurant but it's just an ordinary buffet affecting a "Mexican" air. The service was fast and friendly. But while my mouth watered at seeing "smoked brisket" on the menu, it could have come from a can. Likewise the blah chips and the "fajita veggies." No zing. No Mexican taste. The food is not so much bad, as boring, tepid, and ordinary. I expect much more for the sixteen-dollar price tag. I emphasize again, the service was good. But I was disappointed. I eat here all the time while I'm at work and it's sooo good. It's the perfect food when you're craving Mexican on a budget. This is one of the few places that allows me to order off the kids menu which is honestly a blessing lol.
