Even though this business has been around for years I've never tried it. One day will passing by my daughter and I decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did. We both got bowls. Before getting in line I reviewed the options online to see how the process worked. I got 1/2 steak 1/2 chicken salad bowl with brown rice, fajita veggies, corn, romaine and queso on the side. Had I known it was an up charge for the queso I would've declined because I didn't like the flavor at all. There is another location on Seigen lane but I prefer State st. On several occasions I have ordered Door Dash delivery from Chipotle in Tiger Town. I have also eaten at the restaurant. I always get the burrito bowl for which you must choose the ingredients and I ALWAYS choose brown rice but i ALWAYS end up receiving white rice. Why can't Chipotle assemblers simply follow requests? I used to LOVE Chipotle. But the last several visits have been terrible. Especially this most recent. They were "out" of queso and pico de Gallo and give no warning or no sign before you begin to order. They have horrible attitudes and treat you like sh*t. One of the line workers even talked down to me when I asked if they had any pico in the back cuz I would have gladly waited and even tipped graciously. But instead I was talked to like I was a problem in their life and I don't see myself returning anymore. An online order was placed. Upon pick up, the food was not checked before leaving, however when it came time to eat my food, I noticed that my order was wrong. This was after 8pm on a Sunday and they close at 8 on Sundays. Had i known they messed up my order earlier, I would've went back with the food and my receipt to have my order redone and corrected. The fajita veggies that I added to my quesadilla were put on the side instead of inside of the quesadilla, and they failed to give me the vinaigrette. So, unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy my meal. The next day I called to speak with a manager and I explained to him how my order was incorrect. All he had to offer was a refund for what I was missing or for me to have what I was missing for free on my "next visit", which I'm not sure why he even assumed I'd be back. Having experience in customer service, I know that there are better options that he could've presented to me. He didn't even apologize for the mishap. It was like it wasn't even a big deal to him. Any time I visit, there's always some sort of issue. Whether it's them being skimp with the portions, attitudes, customer service, etc. It's a shame there's only this one location in Baton Rouge. Let me start by saying, I've been going to Chipotle since the first ones opened in Columbus, Ohio almost 20 years ago. I have been a massive supporter of the chain even though I'm not a huge chain restaurant fan. It's always been a comfort in a new city to see something as familiar as Chipotle. Moving to Baton Rouge 10 years ago, I was massively disappointed there wasn't a Chipotle close. Finally, one opened WOOHOO! I was pumped! I've gone to the one by LSU many times over the years, and always have mixed feelings. Sometimes it's awesome and sometimes the portions are small and the service is bad.... Flash forward to today where I (an adult in my early thirties) got yelled at, not spoken politely or even sternly to, but yelled at by an employee for not standing on the dot six feet from the people in front of me. I was already on the dot (even opting to be toward the back of said dot to keep additional distance from the party in front of us as there wasn't anyone behind us) talking to my husband who I'm obviously quarantining with about what to get. Then the gal running the register decides to tell my husband needed to go to the dot behind me with my husband responding "oh, we're together". She yelled back (across the store and still inappropriate) that it didn't matter, so he obliged moving to the dot behind me clearly shocked by how she was speaking to customers. I look to the two people in front of me who were also together as they stood practically on top of each other whispering between each other.... Instead of telling them they needed to distance, the gal running the register proceeded to stare at my husband and I angrily as if she believed we were going to disobey her, again. We decided to take this chance to leave and go to Izzo's as showing a complete bias / double standard will NEVER be okay. I would never have thought another second about it had everyone in that store been treated the same. We were called out and embarrassed in front of the staff and other customers. As others have said, this Chipotle easily has the rudest staff I've ever encountered. There's a right way to handle situations and a wrong way, I highly suggest this store get onboard with some training for their employees. read more

As Chipotle being one of my favorite fast food places to eat the Baton Rouge location has much slower service compared to other locations. However, the food is always fresh at all times and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I always do mobile orders and have had good experiences in the past. The last time they forgot the protein in my order. I went through the app to get a refund and put in the mobile order again. I waited awhile for the first order but hoped that since it was made incorrectly the remade version would be quicker. This review IS biased because Chipotle was a main staple of my weekly diet when studied at the University of Florida. When I first moved to Baton Rouge, I missed Chipotle so much that I wrote a letter to corporate expansion (they weren't interested at the time!). Onto the food! It is consistently delicious. If you haven't dined here before, this place is like the Subway of burritos. My favorite meat is the chicken, my favorite vessel of consumption is the burrito bowl. The corn salsa adds a touch of sweetness to the bowl. The sour cream (free) and guacamole ($1.99 extra charge) are a worthy splurge as they tie everything together nicely. Their rice and salsa has cilantro in it (unfortunately), but thankfully there aren't usually stems so it isn't too bad for us non-cilantro eaters. Regarding this specific location: I would say the traffic is average when compared to other Chipotle locations. I've never had trouble finding a seat when dining here. The staff has always been friendly but for whatever reason, the portion sizes are smaller here than at other locations I've been to. read more

The food, on the other hand? I have ordered nearly the same meal from this location 4 times in the last 6 weeks- two in person from their display kitchen, and two for delivery through the app. In both cases for delivery, I have paid the extra cost for "double protein" and gotten less protein incorporated into my bowl than when they have made it in front of my face inside of the location, having Not ordered extra protein. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but after a repeat offense And having missed an ingredient in the second delivery, I'm convinced that reading a ticket to build a meal is most definitely not their first language. Fantastic food, when it's done right. If they can deliver to you, you're close enough to go there and have them make it properly in front of your face. Cheers! read more

I'm in love with chipotleeeee. My love affair with chipotle began when I was a wee young lad in California. Now that I'm here in the south it seems there are other burrito Burroughs running the show, but my heart remains with chipotle. I'm not sure if it's the guacamole, or if I'm just obsessed with saying chipotle, either way, my loyalties can never be won over, ok? This chipotle is much like any other. Your burrito will be oversized, they will add guacamole for a nominal fee, and you will drool over the barbacoa. I did notice that they wouldn't cut my burrito for me. If you're like me and can't stomach the whole thing, just have them wrap it and ask for another sheet of foil. You can grab a butter knife and cut it yourself. ( you're welcome). I have always been a fan of Chipotle, since I lived in Los Angeles! I was thrilled when they came to Baton Rouge because I was starting to find Izzos a little too pricey for not much food. I adore the concept of build your own burrito! During my last visit, I ordered the steak burrito and they filled it with so much of the good stuff that the tortilla broke and they had to use another one! Now, that's a burrito! The flavors were fresh and spiced just right! Me, my husband & 4-year old daughter were all able to share the burrito in addition to a steak salad. The food is good and pretty standard but I just got the smallest portion of rice, beans and meat that I ever have.
