I was on a road trip from Florida to Houston complaining about how there's never anywhere to grab tacos in a drive thru besides Taco Bell. Not even 5 minutes later one of those blue roadside food signs showed me there was an Uno Dos Tacos on the next exit. I love trying restaurants we don't have at home (Houston) when I'm vacationing, but that's often hard to find when you just need a quick meal grab in a drive thru so you can quickly get back on the highway. I feel like I manifested this. There were so many options on their menu that looked good that it makes me sad we don't have one closer so I can try all the things. I just ordered the el classico tacos, crunchy with sour cream. I also got rice and beans. My husband ordered a steak quesadilla. Both the ground beef and steak were great. It was really flavorful, and I was very impressed for a fast-food restaurant. I wasn't crazy about the refried beans as they were pretty bland but the rice was good! It was about $25 for our order. I was satisfied when I was done eating but my husband was still hungry. The quesadilla is good, but it is also small, so I'd probably recommend you order something else to help fill you up. I'd absolutely stop here to get my taco fix again if I was passing through the area. read more

There is some flavor to the tacos but it's not worth the price. Tacos were $5 a piece. The taco flavor is not authentic. The tortillas are single layer ". The flavor is close to Taco Bell. Save you money and go to Taco Bell !! read more

Love love love. I have seen this place a million times in passing but I never thought to go because I never saw cars there. My aunt told me she tried the location in Br and it was good. So I went. Taco Bell won't see me again. The tacos are sooooo good and flavorful . Now you get what you pay for. The first time I went, I got a shrimp quesadilla and chips and queso. It was $19 and some change. First time last night. Just got one taco and some chips and queso. Sent husband back for more! Got a couple steak tacos and a shrimp taco. Hubs got a steak burrito. Absolutely astounding! How we've waited this long to try this place out, I don't know!! My husband got the regular tacos and devoured them. He said they was the best tacos ever. I got a combo plate so we could share the rice and beans and also got the street taco and fish taco. Now I didn't care much for the fish taco as it tasted a bit funny, but the street tacos was very good. When I lived in playa del Carmen I would always get street tacos and were these wasn't the same, they wasn't far off. Very good!! Ok children, let's talk about tacos. I consider myself a taco expert. I'm originally from Southeast Texas and I have eaten tacos everywhere from Big Lake to Floresville, to Houston and at every little gas station / taco stand in every dusty little town in between. Because I f**king love tacos!!! Because of work, I have found myself in South Louisiana and I was beginning to believe all they eat here are poboys and boudin. Not knocking poboys and boudin, but every now and then I crave a taste of home. I heard about this place so I made the 45 minute drive to get some tacos. Holy crap!!! These are the real deal!!! The girl at the counter made a few suggestions so I wound up with a shredded steak taco, a chorizo and egg, and a brisket and egg...(they call it barbacoa, but to a purist, it's not barbacoa). I don't give a damn what they call it as long as they keep making them. Some of the best I've had. The tortillas were perfect, the meat was flavorful and tender, the chorizo was spiced just right. Sorry there's no pictures but that's just because the darn things were gone before I got home. I will definitely be back and am looking forward to trying to rest of their menu. read more

I went in today and stood at register for the cashier to ignore me and help someone who was sitting at a table order more dip. The person cut in front of me to order the dip and they talked and took their sweet time. Then the cashier went and got the dip and brought it to the table for him to go and asked if he needed a bag and went and got him a bag, I stormed out at this point because that is latent disrespect. The cashier should be fired and I should have received a response from restaurant addressing the issue, instead I received "Hi, thanks for contacting us. Don't waste your money! These folks have no idea what a good taco is, and at $3.00 pos isn't a bargain either. I ordered one of my favorite tacos, al carbon, it was on a hybred flour/corn tortilla (too chewy). Not much filling at all, and it had some kind of sauce on it, not common with this type of taco. I felt cheated out of my $3.00! Obviously, I won't be cheated out of any more of my money by returning. I personally, don't think they'll stay in business too long. Suggestion to owner...go to Texas or California and find out what a real taco should taste like. What you serve shouldn't cost more than Taco Bell! read more

Took the family here last night and it was a really great experience. We got an assortment of tacos (brisket taco and fish taco were our favorites. The we ordered chips & salsa too which was good. The kids cheese quesadilla was good enough that the 1 & 3 year old ate it and I liked how they made fries for the kids meals. It's counter service and they give you a buzzer, there's booths & tables. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait very long. They also have a drive thru and serve breakfast (egg taco is only $1!) . They even have salads, nachos, and burritos. This little place opened today in the old Rushing Rd. Subway building across from the Shell station. The owner also owns Sombrero's Mexican Restaurant in Walker. I had the Grilled Fish taco & a Grilled Shrimp taco with chips, salsa and drink. My wife had a Chicken Quesadilla with chips, salsa and drink. The chips, salsa & drink upgrade to anything is $2.95. The tacos were awesome. Grill taste comes through but not offensive in overpowering the taste of the protein but rather enhances it. The fillings compliment the flavor of the proteins as well. My only problem was it has full service restaurant prices in fast food establishment with a drive thru. So, if you're in a hurry for restaurant quality Mexican food with the convenience of a drive thru, this place is for you. The wait was made up by the great food quality. The tacos tasted freshly prepared and can easily compete with dine in Mexican Restaurants.
