Rodent feces on my boxes and there was one running in the hallway. Ugh!

I rented a unit on the third floor for just over a month and a half. In that time our boxes were covered in rodent feces and they had gotten into some of the boxes plus destroyed our freezer. I am so glad we didn't have any sofas or cloth furniture in the unit or that would have been destroyed also. The management of the facility claimed no liability for what is obviously a huge rodent problem. Luckily after making several calls the district manager sympathized with me and refunded my rent. Which was nice but doesn't make up for the stress and extra work I had to do to clean everything and open all my boxes outside to check for more rodents. They should close down or not rent units until they take care of this problem. Today when moving out there were several people moving in!

Someone broke into our unit. We received no refund for months of supposedly "secure" storage (which wasn't) nor compensation for stolen property. In November of 2021, we received a call from the Storage Facility. Someone broke into the unit they said. Us: "How?" Us: "Did they break the lock?" PS: "No" PS: "You should come in and inspect the unit" US: "How do you know then that someone broke in if the lock wasn't touched" Them: "Umm, we know." ... went around like this for awhile. No camera footage, but they knew. And it sounded like it might have been a former employee. Received a Police Report #: T21023185 (filed by PS) Of course, being deployed overseas for military, I myself could not make it to Seattle. Had to inconvenience by relative from California, who sent pictures of the unit a complete mess. Large boxes piled on top of a high-end bike. I am still overseas, so hard to inspect for all the little things, but we did have an older macbook laptop, which appears to be missing. Only found an empty box. Worst of all. Total compensation: $25. For context: We've been paying rent here for 2+ years. Super friendly, clean, and secure. I would recommend this location. Plus it was the least expensive.

Car was tampered with while at this facility. Pricing is great. Service is sufficient.

It almost got a 5 star rating until the next day when I came in to put my stuff in my storage unit…read more Justin was so awesome the day before he went above and beyond. He was helpful and oh so knowledgeable he wanted me to be completely happy. Justin was not working the next day and there was an older gentleman name Jimmy (I believe) and when I walked into the office...he just looked up at me and stated rudely "our internet is down and it's going to be a while" --May I also add that he was on HOLD on the phone so he was just waiting not speaking to anyone... So I said I just had a question nothing to look up on the computer and then he said in a very curt fashion "It doesn't matter it's still going to be a while"...wait so you are telling me that you are on hold-not speaking to anyone and I have a question that you do not have to look on the computer for and you and I are just going to stare at each other (it was a quick yes or no based question, it didn't even require that much thought)?? Then I went to my locker and found that they had forgot to take their lock off my storage unit...so I went back up to the office (ish) and I just sat down in the chair until Jimmy was ready to his his job and take his company's lock off my unit so I could actually store my things in a unit I was paying for. He finally gets off the phone...and I blankly state that I need their lock off my storage unit...then he tries to explain why he was so rude (their internet had supposedly been down for hours and he was stuck on hold)....So you were stuck on hold and you were frustrated...I get it...very dramatic...but 1. don't treat your customers like garbage because you are having an off day...2. I stated my question was a yes or no...no internet or computer needed...just answer my question. If you come in make sure you are dealing with Justin...not this individual who clearly needs to be retrained.
