Crappy place to store at . I switched here bc at the time they were cheaper but they like to raise the rent whenever they want . I got a call from a rude woman saying rent was due on the 2nd when I thought it was the 3rd and her and her crappy attitude said that's incorrect since 2020 it's been the 2nd I told her to relax it was a mistake and will be in to pay it. What's funny is I got a text saying rent is due the 1st LOL . They had one of the employees husbands driving around w his snow plow pushing the snow in the driving paths . Cars got stuck , he would offer to get them if they paid him. Rats are a huge issue . No one is ever in the office at the times posted on the door . Gates break all the time and takes forever to fix ... we pay up the ass for our units and they can't upkeep the property!?! Can't wait till we don't have to store anymore ! read more

Horrible. Restricted hours and don't get stuck inside the gates after hours. They'll further restrict your access making it difficult to get out of lease. People work. Thanks for the 5 PM restricted access time. Paying 3 times what my agreement started at. Steep incline with massive curb to get into unit. Not safe or practical for anything heavy. Took me twice the time to battle the incline to move heavier items by myself and is the reasoning for getting stuck inside after hours. Try explaining that to someone. They don't care. The only thing they care about is finding every possible way to nickel and dime you. Last straw with this place was my Amex on autopay expired and I mistakenly forgot to update with PS. They charge me a $60 late fee for a unit that isn't even worth $100 but somehow are charging me $300. Regardless 20% for a couple days after my due date. Complete nonsense. Can't wait to get out! More than a few places in the area for a fraction of cost and 24 hours access with property managers approval. Stay away for this place. read more

Aldo, is so great. Any issues that I've ever had which really is none except during the winter my lock got a little bit difficult to open. He came right out and helped. May I add - with no huffing and puffing or attitude. I hope you get the pleasure of working with him. He just makes everything easy breezy every time I'm there. The last thing anyone needs during our busy day is to deal with storage issues. The units themselves are great, simple. What else do you expect, right? Great access to all of them I've noticed. Plus I feel it's very safe. Absolutely no worries about that. read more

Awful storage facillity.. First they called non-stop one weekend out of the blue. Later that month, we found several key pieces of furniture missing- including a sectional couch and matress set. The locks were in place when we found this. Management was supiciously uninvolved when this happened. Do not leave your stuff here! read more

*****WARNING****** Do not store anything in PUBLIC STORAGE on River Road in Schiller Park!!! I put my stuff in storage before I left Chicago and it has been there for almost 4 years. I have paid them religiously ON TIME every month and dealt with their price increases every year. When I got there 2 days ago to check on my shit, they brought to my attention that my storage space had been broken into and they have been trying to contact me to let me know...which I never received a call or email from them. Two things here; 1. This is a gated storage facility(gate code needed), my storage was inside a building and I had my personal lock on it. 2. Every month I receive an email with my bill and if I go past 1 day of paying the bill they always CALL ME to remind me that its due. BUT, they could not reach me to let me know my shit had been stolen. I feel violated beyond belief because some horrible deadbeat trash stole my history! More importantly, PUBLIC STORAGE would not do shit for me except charge me rent for the shit that was left in the storage because I didn't buy their insurance which should not have been needed in the first place because it's suppose to be a secure facility. I personally feel this was an inside job by the employees and I am highly disappointed in this company. So stay away from PUBLIC STORAGE!!!!!!! Oh...to be fair, they did offer to let me move the remainder of my stuff into a space the exact same size and in the same building for $30 cheaper. I was told this is what they were charging a new customer coming in. This was more of a slap in the face!!!! Why not give the discount to someone who has been paying on time religiously for almost 4 years? Way to take care of your customers Public Storage! read more

She had the answer to all of my questions, anticipated ones I hadn't yet thought of, and was courteous and friendly.
