I actually had a pleasant experience with this facility. $1 first month, you pay a 25$ administrative fee, and you pay 20 for the lock that you keep. Super easy to get in and out of. Storage unit hours are 6am-9pm 7 days a week. The unit I received was 5x15, super clean! Also guys, they offer active duty military discounts!!! The lady worked with me, walked us around and made sure my code worked before I left. And they were the cheapest deal around. I actually recommend this place. If anything changes, I'll keep you updated! Xo read more

Public Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

thieves Public Storage Co is a horrible horrible soulless company. If they can add a fee, they do! And want ever price they want. Calling the 800 #, be prepared for people who don't care and will hang up on you. My stuff has been there since 2022 and if I'm ONE month late, I get $100 late fee then a $55 lein fee, then they threaten auction before the month is even up. They raise my rent from $110 to 320 in 2 years,.Worst mistake of my life. read more

This location is always busy surprise to see it empty. No carts available. You would have to sign them out in the front office and before 4:45pm so if you don't make it you trucking your stuff by hand. Never clean and the front office employees are not so friendly. Glad they took the code entry for the elevator because that was annoying having to enter your code three different times! I have been a public storage customer for so long one thing I hate is how often my rent rises! Started off at 159$ and now paying 258$ month! read more

I've been fighting with them and collecting data, phone calls, transactions for over a year now so I can get a civil case together. Also, you will get calls my 4-5 different people saying different things. Make sure you get the name and that they are putting the notes in for the next person who calls you. Worst mistake of my life. Truly. read more

have been renting here for over 7 years. In the past the place was impeccable. I went to go, get my Halloween decorations Sunday and I opened up my unit to find my belongings were shredded and covered in RAT feces and urine. As I worked my way to the bottom of the destruction, it got worse. When I finally got to the bottom box a humongous rat jumped out and took off. It had a two day hole in one of my tupperware bins and made it nest. By the time I cleaned out my locker , I had over an inch of rat feces and debris on the floor. A wooden shelf from my great-grandmother my grandfater made that has chunks missing out of it.A painting from her living room that is all chewed up.Supplies for our new house that we're moving into such as flooring, curtains, blinds etc all chewed up and covered in feces in urine and had to be thrown out. My Christmas tree covered in rat poo and chewed on. All of my wedding memories, my bouquet , centerpieces, cards, guest book etc. Thousands of dollars of belongings I had to throw away not including the things that can't be replaced that were from my family. The entire facility has rat feces throughout it in the hallways there's clearly an infestation. When I told the office staff what happened they offered to catch the rat, and also , let me know that if I did not dispose of my feces covered belongings , I would be fined!!! I had to go and rent a truck to put all fifty bags of garbage in and dispose of it at my own cost. I now, no longer have holiday decorations as we approach the holiday season. I had to throw away countless memories. The facility used to be very well run. Clearly that is not the case anymore. I pay what I feel is good money for a quality storage facility and that is not the service i was provided by this location. read more

There is only one attendant each, and every time I come here, without fault, I have to wait close to an hour to be seen. For example, today I went into my storage, picked out a few things, and wanted to return the flatbed and again had to wait 30 minutes. This doesn't include the 40 minutes I had to wait to get the flatbed since both occasions the attendance is not in the office as usual. annoying and inconvenient. read more

I have been at this facility for many years. It is extremely annoying to not have dollies to transfer our belongings between our cars and our units. In January I had to navigate a dolly from a closet by the front office, making two awkward turns with said dolly to get it into the hallway to take to my unit. Had to "sign" for use. After I was finished I returned the dolly to the doorway going from storage into the office. When I informed the lady at the desk she said I would have to bring it back inside to the closet. She must have been kidding!! There is a heavy dust on my belongings. Am looking for a new storage facility. read more

Be aware that this location does not have any carts to help you move boxes from the car to the your unit or vice versa. This is unacceptable. This review is for 1600 W Sample Road, Pompano Beach, FL 36064. read more

So we changed storage units and insurance was added to our account. We declined the insurance on our previous account. Nothing was discussed by the issuing agent that insurance would be re-added to our account. One would assume the transfer would be in the same style as our previous account. The first awareness we had was when our autopay was higher than we anticipated. In studying the account after the money was drawn, revealed insurance was added to our new account. In speaking with a representative, we were guided to the website where we were able to remove it for the following month. Not worth disputing, but the manner in which the charge appeared and the inability to be credited with a refund is why this review was composed. Not a great way of conducting business. read more

I left a lesser rating in the past, largely due to the nearly doubling of the rent after 6 months... I then got a call from a regional manager advising that the on site employee bonus was based on the star rating of the reviews, so I deleted the review. The PS rep on the phone advised that the bathrooms would be open and carts would be available as I had mentioned that as one of my other complaints. So several months later, bathrooms are always locked and there are never any carts for use in the building that we rent in. Very disappointing. I do believe that the onsite reps do a nice job and would not want my review to effect their pay structure. So I will leave with that compliment and a 5 star rating for a business that I believe has some changes to make for the better... including not putting the onus on their employees salary to get 5 star reviews when it sure does look like the management is not truthful about what they tell you on the phone. read more

Honestly the worst storage unit I've ever been to! Starting from the start, they'll always have one single employee in the office and a bunch of customers waiting. When I got my unit, I was forced to buy a specific lock for $19 even though I had a tough guard lock. After this, I was not even surprised to find a dead cockroach in my unit, wich I politely asked a passing employee to remove. Now, BOTTOM LINE: I literally forgot to make a payment, I am currently 6 DAYS late. They gave me a call and I was busy in my kitchen. 5 minutes later a friend calls me asking if I owe money to Public Storage, because they are blowing her up. Good to mention it was the FIRST call they ever gave me and not I didn't even receive an e-mail before embarassing calls to friends started being made. So I called and the guy said it's a company policy. Well, then you should change it. Not being able to pick up ONE call does not mean you have to call other people. It's EMBARASSING!!! Now i'm paying my balance and vacating the unit! Good luck if you choose this location! never again read more

The place is clean, modern and automated. I chose an air-conditioned unit and I think this is the best option in terms of cost x benefit. The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful. I recommend! read more

I had a great experience reserving a storage unit in Pompano Beach. They offered a contactless setup and they followed through quickly and efficiently. I am happy with the unit, the carts, and the large elevator. The move-in process was easy and the setup was even easier!! read more

Shakira and Andreana at the desk. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They told me 3 days after I moved my things out and to a different unit on the property that I wasnt supposed to leave their lock on the unit. I wasn't given any instructions other than to have my stuff out in 24 hours. They charged me every day for the empty unit. The manager (Andreana) actually started yelling at me on the phone and being very rude and out of line. At one point they started not answering my calls. i called corporate twice and they never returned my calls. I went to the facility to turn in my key and they were nowhere to be found. I'll never rent another unit from this company ever again! read more

I'm posting this review as a review of my check-in process. The person behind the counter was amazing and so friendly. They've been raising the storage rent without warning every 6 months. I would not recommend this facility to anyone for long term storage.

Fast and easy check in. The 5x5 locker was more than enough for what I needed to store. Chrys was extremely helpful and had a professional, courteous attitude. Overall, a great experience. read more

Customer service charges $20.00 to handle your payment over the phone, whereas other businesses charge $3.00 to allow a live person to handle your account. Question, why does public storage keep raising the storage fees. it should be the same tactic used when you renew your apartment rental fees, a small percentage per year read more

Wife and I just rented a unit here while we move. Check in was a breeze. I just rented a storage unit from this location. There were two people in the office and the sign up process was a breeze. My customer service experience here went above and beyond what I was expecting. read more

I've had a storage unit there since August 2012. Received a notice in the mail that they are renovating and I needed to move my stuff. Elected to go to their unit on Spanish Isles Blvd. The store hours were posted on their web site, Arrived Thursday at 2:15 PM and the sign says they will be back at 3PM. Wait 45 minutes, Then spend 45 minutes filling out paperwork, Then the unit they give me is 12 feet off the ground. and need a ladder on wheels to get to,. Decline the unit. I call the District Manager because he has a sign on the desk saying We Care. Called him twice and he really Didn't Care, much. Would not get me another unit anywhere for the price I was paying. Went to Uncle Bob's on Southwest 18th St, Paperwork was filled out in 10 minutes, and the units are much better. More expensive, but they've got my business and my recommendation. read more

I must say..Jessica "the relief manager" had the patience of a saint with me. And all my questions, worry and location of unit. She went above and beyond to help me. Extremely poor service, staff was not helpful. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I recently moved my stuff from an Extra Space facility to Public Storage and am so happy I did! The staff at Public Storage was great from my reservation to move in. Wilma & Paige were friendly, helpful, professional and patient through the entire process. They answered all my questions, advised me on how much space, showed me different spaces/locations, and helped with my paperwork. They even showed me where the bathrooms and all the exit doors are located. The place is very clean (even the bathrooms!) and feels safe. What a bonus that it's cheaper and in a great location!
