I chose CubeSmart in this particular location due to their competitive prices and customer service. Their general customer service representatives were super polite and helpful. Once I made my reservation, I received a confirmation email and a follow up email before my actual reservation date. When I visited the Southwest Ranches location, I was pleasantly surprised that I received the same polite and helpful customer service by Chris Fila. He explained everything to me and I didn't feel rushed at all, even though there was another customer waiting. I really appreciated that. I called the customer service line and was given a quote and the first month free. The service was fast and professional. The representative I spoke with gave me all of the information I needed to move forward. Within 20 minutes, I got a call from the Southwest Ranches store from Mercedes to go over the details of my rental. She was very professional and courteous and invited me to come over to take a look at the climate controlled units. I went on Saturday and met up with Chris, where once again I received exceptional service. Chris took me to see the unit and reviewed my contract. Mercedes (manager), Theresa (general manager) and Jackie have been so helpful. I moved with short notice in August after receiving a great job opportunity out of state. I moved the contents of my house into my Cubesmart storage unit (after receiving a recommendation from a friend) until I was able to find a new house in my new city. Fast forward to the winter holiday (a week ago) when I'm told my house will be complete and ready to close on Dec. 27. I was given a small window to move and not a lot of time to coordinate it. Theresa and Mercedes were so helpful and made this process much less stressful. I have no affiliation to anyone at Cubesmart and met them for the first time when I moved in, but they made me feel like a "friend" that they were helping out. I feel fortunate to have chosen Cubesmart. The Pod driver told me today when he was dropping off my trailer that his Pod was denied at another storage facility yesterday (not a Cubesmart) and the folks were beside themselves trying to figure out how they were going to move their belongings. These ladies were so friendly, helpful and just down to earth good folks. I can't recommend or thank them enough for making this last part of my move so easy during a tough time of the year to move. I cannot give this company even 1 star even though I am required. If I could, it would be negative stars!!!!! They are a total rip off. i went in to rent a unit in January and in August they were raising the rent. When I moved in they advised me that the truck (which we were suppose to get free) was not in service and had been out since October and said that I would be able to use it whenever I wanted. I asked to use it in August and was advised there would be a $39.00 charge since I am not moving in. In regard to the rent increase after 5 months, I was told that since I rented below street level (it was the rate advertised online) that I had to pay the increase. Both employees at this location are very friendly and accommodated me on every need I had in the last few months. they make it well worth going to this location even though the corporate rules don't allow them to prorate rent for a partial month. Also, the temperature could be kept cooler but again it's not under their control. read more
