I closed my account after finding rat droppings in my unit. Advised the front desk that this was going on, very rude staff. I picked up my things on January 2nd because the office was closed on January 1st and they still wanted the rent, how the heck am I supposed to close an account on a holiday when they are not open??? The staff told me if I don't pay, it'll go to collections in 5 days. Nope. Never again. I am reporting this to the BB asap. Terrible business and customer service. read more

they do great job here very helpful and they work with you on price. I've been there for years no complaints.

I've used the storage for years, the staff has always been very helpful and accommodating. The hours are accessible. The facility is always clean when I've been there, and very secure, I've never worried about anyone breaking in or stealing any of my belongings. I've rented all size units from them from 20 x 10, 5 x 5, and currently a 5 x 10. I would definitely recommend them if you need storage in LA for a good price. read more

Letting everyone know that comes to this establishment at 6 am to beat the crowd. New hours here are 930 am. With the not so cleanliness here durning a pandemic is just awful, but the EMPLOYEES who sit in the front should Honeslty start moving around and mopping the floors as there fifty dirty, no soap in bathroom like never since I have been coming here, the BLOOD that never gets cleaned even after calling the district manager, the mice in here that's a given I was told but everything else come on. What I'm unhappy about here is that I walked inside asked to have storage changed as I'm finding allot of mice dropping everywhere and documenting it all well let's say I shouldn't every time I come in but pictures are PROOF these days and they wanted to charge me $$ to change honestly $9.00 will not hurt my pocket but I'm doing so much to protect my belongings and with insurance I'm just trying to prevent another hassle with Public Storage. I'm happy about this to be honest as people have been living here or just staying in there storage unit throughout day eating and when I went to complain about it as I have had so many mice or rats in my storage. So I come in here frequently to make sure my stuff is not damaged and I clean up all the droppings. Unbelievable!!!!!!!! I went to the bathroom Blood was splattered all on floor to the right when walking in and my thing is that it is 10:02 am and they just opened so I highly feel they never cleaned or looked at the bathrooms before locking them last night or someone literally walked in and left it. Another thing this bathroom has no soap to wash your hands and I have personally asked for them to restock as it never has had any period! Bad Bussiness if you ask me. and or santizer good thing I carry mine. there is only restroom for the public you must carry your own here the only sanitizer available is a 12 oz bottle that is inside the main office. I'm sorry this is just plain horrible as I feel this storage unit does provide enough supplies or a clean environment. I have had blood, mice , people in there units when I've come in with chairs sitting eating and let's not talk about how you can hear people in there around 8 pm is when I come as well trying to not be around a huge crowd. One last think I feel it's pointless to complain as I have called and get no return call and when you do you get very sarcastic girls on the line and they say they will clean it but guess what they never did until weeks later If I could afford to leave here I would but the cost for storages rack up. read more

I moved in right after this facility opened. It was clean and nice. Over the last 2 years thing have really declined here. Last month I found rat dropping everywhere inside my space, and a dead rat. They don't clean your unit before you move in. There was a bunch of boxes, rat poop, and trash in our unit which we had to dispose of ourselves because our furniture was already there. I have called the facility and left messages for a call back and no one has followed up. Definitely giving a bad yelp review. This is unacceptable! read more

Extremely poor customer service. The information I was emailed with my gate info says I have access until 9pm. I showed up at 6 PM with a truck. I entered my code and it said that they were closed I went to the office and the woman inside yelled from behind the counter that they were closed I said I'm aware that they are closed in the office however I just need access to my unit it says I have until 9 PM at least (pointing to phone). She pointed at the window and said that they were closed. (The window only has office hours it does not have anything listed for access hours.). The woman had an attitude And continued to yell from across the way, her attitude became more obvious as I continued to ask her to repeat herself. A problem that could have been easily mitigated had she at least come within a descent eat shot in order to address my concern. She was extremely unprofessional unfriendly and unhelpful giving attitude and yelling passive aggressive remarks instead of addressing my concern of access hours. 6pm is extremely early to not have access to a unit. Their hours are not convenient nor do the match what I was emailed. The individual next to her just sat there in silence. The last thing I was able to hear her say was to call the property manager so they could tell me that they were closed. She was extremely rude. She could have came to the door and explained the confusion, and that there was an error instead of yelling smart remarks. read more

Never had any customer service issues. I don't appreciate the rat poison all over my unit. The place reeks of rodents. But I have t seen any ray shit in my unit. That being said. Are the employees allowed to enter the units ? Idk. Been there 3 years no actual issues. Still renting. read more

Came to see a unit which they didn't tell me was only accessible by laser over the phone when I made the inquiry. The customer service is horrible! The blond woman that helped us had a really bad attitude and even tossed the keys to my fiancé I stead of handing them to him. Need less to eat we didn't get the unit and won't be giving this specific location our business. read more

This place is terrible! They raise prices every 6 months... and it's not just a few dollars increase either. I went from paying around $100 to $250 for the same unit. Initially when I started renting here, the access hours & office hours were different/better. Now we have less access hours. There's been times when the office is supposed to be opened but the office is closed or staff come in late. I found a dead mouse & rodent poop in my unit. The bathroom is either always dirty, out of service, and has no soap or toilet paper. The staff is very rude & unprofessional. I had to call & email corporate once to complain & have a change made because the office staff & manager refused to assist me at this location. I'm so glad I found a different place to rent that is clean, nice staff, cheaper & that raises rates only once a year w/better access hours. This place just lost a good customer that paid on time & never caused problems. I discourage everyone from renting here. Beware! Don't rent here!! read more

do not use this place, take your business somewhere else. our unit and many other got robbed. and there is no much for the people who work there to do.. they know this is a repeat incident and don't do anything. i just received a call from the storage manager, 4 days after the incident. i have paid so much money to this place, and decided to moved out the next day the incident. they keep rasing the rent price once you moved in, but a shitty service. elevators dont work, not enough dollies. they clean their hands and send you to call the police and file a claim with the insurance and business as ussual for them. they should send a email alert or text advising user to go and check out their unit. read more

I was having some trouble getting my storage unit opened. There was an issues with the part that slides left and right where you would insert the lock. My trip to the storage unit was intended to be a quick one, I needed to pop in quickly and leave. I wound up being there for a long time trying to get the unit opened and it was just one of those days were everything wasn't going very smooth, so I was pretty upset. I went to the office to see if they could help. Trinity and the other lady working in the office today whose name I unfortunately didn't get were very kind and helpful. The one lady located the problem and Trinity fixed the issue and I am very grateful. Thank you both for being so nice. read more

BEWARE! DO NOT GIVE PUBLIC STORAGE YOUR BUSINESS! Predatory bait and switch tactics! I rented a large unit from this facility and was given a rate of $320/month. At no point did they mention this was an introductory rate and a few months later, my bill each month has gone up $120. That's an increase of almost 40%. When I called they blankly and emotionlessly stated "it's in the contract, didn't I read the contract?" and said there's nothing they can do and to call corporate. When I reached out to corporate customer service I was greeting with the same soulless tone: "sorry sir it's in the fine print of your contract" with zero sympathy or empathy. It became clear to me this is how Public Storage operates from top down as a company- apparently they train their employees to purposely omit mentioning your rate will go up substantially after a few short months. They don't care about what's right. They don't care if you complain about them. They don't care you if you never do business with them again. If only I can rate this business with zero stars. read more

Very well maintained facility (my experience) I like the fact the you need to enter your code at least three/ four times (to enter thru gate, thru building, to use elevator, and to exit thru the gate). Although, I was not happy with the agent at the front desk that said I had to carry "insurance." Don't be fooled like I was, no insurance is needed based on the contract unless you want it. That's at least $11 savings per month for $3000 coverage. "6.1 You may purchase the insurance that we offer as a convenience to you, but you are NOT required to purchase it. IF you elect to purchase that insurance, your monthly payment will include an additional amount for the coverage you select. See paragraph 2.1.3 about how payments are applied." read more

To whom it may concern; I have a storage unit with public storage the location is 6911 S. Alameda Avenue in the city of Huntington Park. I've been storing my things there for a couple of years now with that being said, when I purchased my storage unit, here at public storage. This place was so immaculate now here it is 2023, the facility is very filthy the floors are filthy and dirty the elevator are filhy and dirty sometimes smells like urine, the parking lot is also filthy and dirty... And in my unit I have rodent feces and urine and also roaches. which I did not bring... I wish that the president and the CEO and the investors of Public Storage, to care enough for the consumers and get the facility exterminated. I was paying $102 for 5 x 5 unit and now this year they are asking me to pay $134 for a 5 x 5 storage unit that's $32 more than what I was paying last year, and I do realize there are other storage facilities out their but the reason why I chose this facility is that it is closest to my home. Don't even bother renting from this place. AT. ALL. I signed up feb 09 2020 and not even 2 months in having the unit I got robbed. First of al, the person who called me, her name was Stacy, seemed so nonchalant about the whole thing over the phone, she basically said oh your storage seemed like it got tampered can you come in and check. I went in with my husband and I go and try to talk to her in the office,. Mind you I get it, we're going through a whole pandemic with the whole COVID-19 going around, but it would have been nice to have some sort of empathy with my situation. She legit just told me all blankly go to your storage and see if there is anything missing if there is just take pictures and file a police report you don't have to tell us. Point blank, whatever. I checked, 80% of my stuff was gone . I closed out my unit, and asked if they had any footage of the activity. They simply told me oh we don't keep cameras inside the property. My first thought is, A. Why shouldn't you keep cameras inside the property, don't you care for your clients belongings? And B) you can tell it's an inside job. I hope and pray who every reads this decides to rent somewhere else, or make sure that they have cameras inside the property to have some sort of security. Wow trying to close out your account with this public storage is incredible. There is no such thing as customer service with Valerie, the property manager - unprofessional is putting it mildly. She was snapping at me because I questioned why they locked me out of my unit. My bill was paid! I can deal with the inconvenience, but the way she conducted herself was embarrassing for her and the other two clerks that were working. I felt bad for them, and to think she's in charge?! Suffice it to say I emptied my storage. Subsequently, her district manager had the nerve to call me to fix Valerie's incompetence but when I told him I didn't have the time, he got frustrated and told me he was giving me a 3-day notice! Poor staff services . I understand the operation hours here as well as being courteous to others whom are renting units as well. Now as far as services , very poor staff services and inconsiderate once it hits closing time all staff rushes out . Now there may be some tenets whom understand closing operations but also who may lose track of time or may have items not fully placed in their units on time therefore staff should have understanding in that especially if elders are behind to possibly assist. Many other public storage facilities have that courtesy. Once you are locked out there is a process to go through that many I'm sure are not aware of . My son and brother were one along with other people as well who couldn't get out due to code given were useless once 6pm hit . No staff what so ever we're on sit . No emergency phones either were on site so say what if the customer had no phone or phone suddenly died. I didn't bother ready the reviews before renting at this location which was my mistake . But No, I do not recommend anyone renting here unless u park your vehicle outside by the entrance and Incase you are locked out you can jump the gate (as others did that were there with my son and brother ) to get out. Then following day receive an email stating the incident along with please be mindful and respectful to follow business hours. Likewise! read more

Paul is great , he gave us a great customer and he help us whit a issue whit a door and help us whit no hesitation.

From the outside the place looks fairly clean as storage places go. You need a pin to get in through the gate, into lobby, and to use the elevator up. They have cameras in a lot of places. I would think all these things factor into the higher price than other storage units. I figured my stuff would be safe here. But unfortunately I was wrong. I came in one morning to grab some stuff only to find my lock broken and all my things shuffled around as they took off with my bike and my collection of funko pops, pins, trading cards, collectable shoes and comic books. Years of collecting from various events/locations wasted as they were all stolen from me. I immediately moved my stuff out. Don't fall for their fake clean and secure front. Avoid this place. Save your money and the headache and heartache as you deal with the aftermath. read more

It doesn't seem like they want anyone's business. I hadn't seen the low ratings when I reserved my unit online. Seems counter productive to me. Needless to say, I am finding some place else to store my goods. I feel like I dodged a bullet. read more

Honestly not the best place to store your stuff. They don't clean the place often, a lot of mice, no security in the area. Obviously they don't care about customer satisfaction if they don't control this location more often. For a place like this it should always be monitored checking who goes in n out. They do have cameras but obviously it's not enough because people go in and steal. I mean we pay you with no hesitation and you can't take care of your building . Common now , get security to monitor the area, that'll help minimice people eating inside and sleeping inside. As well as stealing. read more

Too bad I can only give it one star. Wish I could give it a negative five-star review, or even lower. I rented a space around a year ago, I had no problems for around the first 7 months until I got a call from the property manager accusing me of dumping something illegally. The problem is I wasn't even there. I was pretty tenacious in fighting that accusation because times are tough and I can't pay fines for stuff I didn't do. Well, soon afterward my unit showed signs of somebody attempting to break into it. I don't think that is a coincidence, I have heard stories from other people that they believe break-ins/robberies are inside jobs. I have no doubt that the employees are directly responsible and/or assist in robberies. I got to the point where I said to myself: my stuff would be safer if I just stored it on the sidewalk in front of my house. I moved out this month and will never use their services again. This garbage company should officially change its name to Public Theft. Beware of this place. read more

The staff seems angry and very not helpful. No effort in seeking customer satisfaction.

Don't bother renting from here. Very misleading people. They tell you that YOU need insurance even tho their contract says otherwise. They make it seem like they're getting commission for insurance sales. Very bad practices. Then when you need to collect on the insurance because you had a break in then they make it very difficult on you. A person next to us had a break in the same week we moved in but the manager Yvette said this place is "very safe". Don't be fooled by the many times you have to enter your code. The robbers are already inside just waiting for you. Why do you think there's so many people walking around all hours of the day/night without carrying something. I'm sorry but I'm only going there to drop off something or pick it up. No reason to loiter just because. They have no security guard as they should with all the breaks ins. The person that got broken into the week we moved in told me that the detective investigating the break in said "this place gets broken into all the time". That to me is not very safe like the manager stated to us when we first came in the previous week. No wonder they kept telling me to leave them a good review at the beginning. They didn't want me to know anything before hand. I'm glad i waited. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! read more
