A friend recommended I try Morningstar Storage, so I decided to give them a chance. When I got there I was welcomed by Ashanti, who poor thing was about to take her lunch! Had I not been in such a hurry I would have come back at a later time, but I truly needed to unload my car! She was so gracious about the inconvenience, and took real good care of me! Showed me a few options for different sizes so I could the right one! Walked me through the rates that happened to be great as they currently have specials on all of their units! She got me all signed up, and out the door in record time! I even offered to get her her lunch for cutting into her lunch time and even though she declined I appreciate how efficient she was! I highly recommend, this storage facility, they are climate controlled and offer insurance! Keep in mind you do need to pay for admin fess and potentially a lock, so don't get sticker shocked on your first months rent! It should be a one time thing so don't worry! You have 24/7 access as they provide gate codes for you! Go pay Ashanti a visit and get yourself a nice clean storage unit!

Why am I giving them money just to not be able to move my things. Ridiculous to have units but not have carts. How are people supposed to move their items without getting a back injury or breaking a sweat. Last time I was here I spent 15 minutes just walking around trying to find a cart on the property. I also witnessed another couple trying to find one as well. We both ended up leaving frustrated.

Fortunately, I had to make a last-minute trip to Houston and stopped by the CubeSmart on Washington Avenue before my movers arrived with a full truck. I'm very glad I did. The unit I had reserved was not an interior unit--it was an exterior unit. The employees in the office were courteous and genuinely tried to help, but the only interior unit they could offer me was at a significantly higher price. I was told that the only person who could honor my original reservation price was District Manager Brian Serafine. I left two messages for him and never received a return call. Then, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with my movers scheduled to arrive the very next day, the office called to tell me they could not honor my reservation. Not only would the replacement unit cost $70 more per month, but the first month would no longer be free, despite what my reservation clearly stated.Throughout this entire ordeal, Brian Serafine never contacted me personally. Advertising one product, then charging substantially more when the customer arrives, is unacceptable. CubeSmart should take a hard look at both its management and the misleading reservation practices that leave customers with little choice but to pay more at the last minute.

Horrible customer service. I called the corporate office a week ago and was supposed to get a call…read moreback within 48 hours. Nobody called me. I have been renting from them for years. When I moved out of one of my two rental spaces I had to wait for 45+ minutes for an employee to finish their bathroom break to unlock the gate and my storage space that was already paid for. I called multiple times the weeks prior to clearly communicate and even called the morning of my move to pay my daily rate. However, my gate access was revoked (even though I have a second space at the same facility paid through January) and there was a super-lock on my storage space I was moving out of. It cost me over $100 for their employee to go to the bathroom. (Employee verified to my husband who located him that he was on a bathroom break). I called the Monday after my move to explain what happened and I was offered a $25 credit. This acknowledges they were in the WRONG. Yet, why am I paying more than an additional $75 for their employee's toilet break? When I called corporate they tried everything to blame their error on me. I wasted another 40-minutes on the phone with them and was left with the promise someone from corporate would be in touch with me in 48 hours. No such call occurred. This is sheer ignorance and GREED on their end. This is a horrible way to treat a long term customer. Loyalty goes both ways. This is the shadiest company. They're constantly raising their prices and never return calls. When I called the store to initially complain the young man working there LIED to me and gave me a fake name and number to management. Store your stuff elsewhere. If your parked in front of your unit, the maintenence guy will drive by 8 times and eyeball you like you shouldn't be there. I understand that a small staff of a couple office people and a maintenance guy will tend to start getting lazy and forget that those of us who use the facility are the ones who pay the bills. We had to unfortunately discover all our belongings in our storage unit were covered in rat poop and destroyed! When we told the Property Manager, Charlene, she said we are aware of that, sorry, your neighbors had food in their storage unit. She was FULLY aware of this and GAVE ZERO NOTICE, we had to come in to discover the rat infestation. This storage facility is disgusting and terribly run, the staff is not trained correctly and open 1 hour late everyday to "log in to their computers."
