The manager at this location is wonderful and she did everything she could to help me. I don't blame her for anything . Unfortunately, one of the staff pushed my unit for auction without reading the notes that the rent payment would be made the next day. The manager tried to get the error corrected, but the district manager, BRIAN SERAFINE, only approved reducing the fee by $50. I had to pay an additional $70 because a staff member messed up. I've used storage units for over 25 years and have never had this happen, and I will never rent from the company again. read more

I reviewed this storage facility about three months ago and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Since then, the east elevator is still not repaired. I spoke to the manager about it and his sarcastic reply was that he's not an elevator repairman. He was totally indifferent to my concerns. Extremely rude. Blames the vendor. One elevator isn't enough for this four story storage facility. It is very poorly managed. I'm just waiting for the other elevator to break down. Management won't care. My advice is to find a different storage facility if you are renting one. This one keeps raising the monthly rent while not taking care of the place. read more

You can avoid buying the required lock but you must you must visit their store on site which forfeits the online of $62.25 and now goes to $83.00. $17.00 -- "Protection" Plan [required] You can avoid buying the protection plan but you must you must visit their store on site which forfeits the online of $62.25 and now goes to $83.00 and provide a declaration page. been here for a few months and my experience has been decent .. pros: polite staff, clean facility, better security measures than storages i've used in the past cons: seems like something is always messing up, which may be out of their control but things like one of the elevators always being out of order or technical difficulties that change the availability of the facility from 6a-10p to only during office hours just make it difficult to access if you access your unit frequently. overall , average solid bang for my buck i guess read more

This review is about the Cubesmart on Shepherd, near Washington Avenue. Though this business claims to keep storage units air conditioned, my wax I had in storage melted. Right! I wrote melted. Plus my vegan leather furniture was ruined by the heat. No wonder they prohibit customers from being on location after 10 p.m. Is that when they turn off the AC? At some point they save energy by either raising the temperature or turning the AC completely off. It is the only way wax melts! read more

Cindy was absolutely outstanding! My husband and I were looking for air conditioned storage unit. We live right down the road from here so we thought we would give it a try. We came in and Cindy, General Manager was working. She enlightened us with the available options of the units she has available. She offered us multiple choices and then we made our way to go see our options. We ended up choosing a 5x5 unit which was about $52 a month. She walked us to our unit where she informed us about the safety and security of the storage units. You have a code that you press on the keypad to get you on your floor. It will only get you on your floor and ground floor if you're storage unit is above the ground floor. She went into full detail about the locks, cameras, key pad, hours of operations, anything.. you name it she knew the answer to it. She was very informative! We had a great experience here. She was truly helpful and offered us a 10% discount. Highly recommend this place! read more

I wanted to like CubeSmart. They had the best rates for what we were looking for. My wife filled out the online reservation form Wednesday night and we planned to visit Saturday. Persistence is a good quality, but there is a fine line before you reach insanity. What resulted were voicemails every two hours Thursday while I was at work. Sorry I don't always have access to my phone. Friday the Madness continued. This is where I get annoyed. I will call you back, but goodness you would think some logic of decency would prevail. Saturday rolls around, more calls. I opted to get insurance on my own, but guess what? They won't accept it. So more phone calls and voicemails, my insurance company generates another form. I send it over, voicemail and a call later, they still won't accept it, but guess what they offer insurance! Go figure! I tell them to cancel and leave me alone. I find another place that accepts what I provided Cubesmart and had a seamless experience. Best yet, guess who calls while I am signing my agreement at another place, leaves a voicemail, and emails me? Yep Anthony and Jenae from Cubesmart. They can now accept my insurance. Sorry, can't deal with a place like this, much less from the other side of the world. read more

CubeSmart gets 5 stars for both their facilities and their customer service. This is the most high-end storage unit I've dealt with, without the high end prices. Bright, immaculate, several layers of security, and all access points are completely covered and climate controlled. Plenty of perks like a ton of carts, materials, and even a free moving truck. The customer service goes above and beyond to make sure everything is explained and billed correctly. Cindy is truly a pleasure to work with and so personable. Its great to know that she is just a phone call away if any issues come up. She also made sure to get my husband and I on the best rate plan for our unit with the best deal offered. Worst.storage.unit.ever. Rented unit online.....first day, John was unorganized. Had my own insurance but I still had to pay $12 because he didn't know the rules or where to find info. My contract was incorrect as well.....different unit number on my contract from where my stuff was. This led to endless problems logging on to my online account. No heads up on the extra fee required for paying online by cc. I learned months later, you can avoid this by signing up for auto pay. Continued calls to the property over months went unanswered....seems they are never available. I finally moved my belongings to the CubeSmart on Vintage Preserve (have used CubeSmart in FL as well) and am very happy. I gave sufficient notice of moving out to main CubeSmart 800 number and the info was documented. These dummies still managed to charge me another month's rent not even realizing I had left. Cindy finally responded to my last call and said a refund was in the works......still waiting on the reversal.....since 19JAN. CubeSmart's are for the most part reliable and have great customer service. You won't get that at this Shepherd location. read more

To say that the customer service here is excellent would be an understatement. Ken and Cindy were both very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ken was the individual helping me get all set up, he walked me through the facility and showed me the storage unit before I had to sign anything. He explained all the safety procedures (gate access code, having to be outside the gate before 10pm, access code specific to my floor level, etc.) and made me feel very confident that my things would have a happy temporary home here. The safety measures they take to ensure your belongings are as secure as possible are above and beyond what other storage facilities do. The prices here are very comparable to other self storage units in the area - if there is space available at this CubeSmart location I'm not sure why you'd go anywhere else. I shopped around A LOT before settling here and I couldn't be happier. Also, the whole place is spotless, well lit, and it even smells nice. It is very clear that Ken and Cindy both take pride in this business - this is how it should be, but unfortunately it's rare in today's world. Thanks for all your help, Ken!
