Due to work, I didn't get that message until the early evening. I called the 800 number right away, and the not-very-helpful clerk told me that I would have to speak to the inventory manager, who would contact me by 10 am the following day--yes, the day I was supposed to be moving and out the door at 8 am, I was going to have to wait around to find out if they even had a truck I could rent. Oh, and she asked me how far I would be willing to drive to pick it up? 10 miles? 25 miles? 50 miles? 100 miles? This was for a move of approximately four miles. In short, a reservation with these people is worth absolutely nothing. They will disregard it at their convenience. I would suggest you look somewhere else, anywhere else, if you need a rental.

Well, YouTube revealed that we needed a TOOL to adjust the mirrors in this specific model of truck. It did not have any handles that would allow us to manually do it without a tool... But instead, she rushed to get rid of us as fast as possible. Very unprofessional. Nonetheless, the customer service at this location (110 Louise St. In Houston was unbelievable especially in this day and age and it was all down to the lovely employee, Danielle. Danielle was in charge of our rental and she is truly a delight. She is professional, thorough and courteous. She made sure we understood everything so there would be no surprises. You can see she loves her customer service role and is organized, knowledgeable and patient ( especially with newbies haha) Would I rent from this UHAUL again? With Danielle in charge I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. She made the whole experience as painless as possible. Thanks UHAUL for making this portion of my "to do" list seamlessly simple. If you pull into there big driveway or into there lot they yell at you and tell you to move. When I returned my truck the location was closed and I was forced to leave the truck in the street. They sent me a bill for a cleaning fee, missing pads I never purchased and missing dolly which I returned. When I called to get a refund for the cleaning fee, missing dolly which was returned and pads which I never got nor asked for they wouldn't give it to me, in fact every time I called they gave me an excuse as to why they couldn't refund my money right then. The first excuse I was told by the lady who worked there she was new and didn't know how, second excuse when I called back the lady said she needed to research and call me back.... I never got that call back. I called U-Haul and explained to them happen, uhaul took a few days then responded saying there would only give me partial refund, the location claimed the truck was dirty.... I moved boxes of clothes And I did not leave anything in the truck or add anything to the truck that would cause it to be dirty. The fact UHaul has no proof and does not document the before and after of what the truck looks like and then just claims it's dirty is not right in my opinion it's criminal. So now I am out $75 dollars cause this U-Haul location basically committed fraud and U-Haul corporate supported it. Something else to watch out for, while I was ordering my truck the lady inside made me buy more miles, she said if I purchase 25 miles I can lock in the $1.09 rate but if I go over 25 miles the rate would jump to $1.25. I spoke with U-Haul corporate about this and they said that is not how they work. But again UHaul still allowed them to charge my card without authorization. I don't recommend this location.
