After 30 years. I'm out . Rats and mice at 6456 Hwy6 Houston Texas 77084 location are horrible and everywhere. On site manager does not careand confirmed the infestation. She told us she clean up rat poop daily in the halls with a dry mop. To get, no big deal . She won't tell the DM and the DM will not return phone calls or respond to my request to talk.You can't request the Dam's number either. My unit is literally covered with rat and mice urine. It took us two days to clean and disinfect after removing everything. Like everything is covered. Note: We have no food in there. It's so bad , dead mice sit in the hall by our door . I highly recommend that people avoid doing business with Public Storage because of how they treat their customers. They charge high late fees, lock you out of your unit if you haven't paid around the middle of the month. They also made me buy another lock because they locked me out of my unit. So that month, I had to pay a late fee, pay them for another lock, and pay my movers extra for the time I spent dealing with Public Storage. I wasn't trying to move out without paying. I've had my belongings in storage since December, I was moving out my belongings from storage today, and told the front desk attendant I was closing my account but wanted a smaller storage for a few days so I could come back for a few more things, also asked if they had a dumpster to dump unwanted items. His words: don't leave them we charge 500$ for items left behind. I was like OH WOW! Thinking makes sense but I'm not indicating I'm leaving anything behind. Then he continued to tell me that even though I'm moving out I still had to pay the 116$ which has gone up 34$ in the last month or two. East Houston, Tx Wallisville Location I stored my atv in a unit and rats chewed up all kinds of electronics on it. Cost to repair was over $2000, i wasn't worried because it says on the brochure that they cover up to $5000 worth of damage but of course i didn't read the fine print. When i made the claim on the orange door storage required insurance i was informed that all it covered was $250 with a $100 deductible. Good old insurance loop hole that protects them from have to actually cover the damages. Does me absolutely no good. I choose a storage for my property to specifically avoid rodent damage, and a lot of good that did me. I also ran into other customers that were giving property away due to rodent damage. This should have never happen in the first place. Their advertisements say they are rodent and pest free, but that is certainly not the case. I would not recommend this place if you care about you belongings or they have value and the insurance is worthless. If i could i would give it zero stars. I have unit with the public storage branch at County Road 58 in Manvel Texas and things would have been great by just having a place to store extra stuff but if there are any circumstances where you are in need of customer services, you will receive nothing. They are never at the office, they don't return any calls and when you finally get a hold of someone, they are always pitching the same bs. My unit door has been jammed for 2 plus months. It has already been determined that it is the result of a faulty door. For two plus months I am unable to access my unit but I am being charged monthly like clockwork. I have made it clear, that I would like to empty out the unit and closeout but I am unable to do so and i am stuck paying extra months due to a lack of customer service and a lack of presence. Do not rent from here or any public storage. They hook you on a low intro price then once your things renin they up the rate continuously knowing it's hard to move your things out. They don't even give you a warning of the price hikes. There's a lot of deceptive practices and I'm sure there will be lawsuits coming. I pay online and don't get a confirmation until the next day so there's been times that I paid twice thinking it didn't go through and couldn't get my money back without a huge hassle. Anytime someone thinks of having to move in or move out its always a frown knowing the extensive work that you are about to endure but latyra from the Public Storage (facility manager) 1165 N Loop West location put a smile on my face as she made the process quick, easy, and comfortable. She explained all necessary dos and don't ;expectations of the facility. She had great customer service and the process was smooth. I told her what I was looking for and she accommodated exactly that no extras or up sales were attempted. She also told me about the Public Storage app and all its perks. One thing I enjoyed most about the app is that you can go in and out of the facility smoothly as you can gain access with a touch of a button on your smartphone. BURGLARY on 10/4/2020. Items were stolen from my unit and multiple others. Terrible management and very unprofessional. The manager, George, didn't seem to care about the situation or provide any sort of assurance that it would be fixed correctly. No cameras in hallways, unlike all other storage units around Houston. If you value your items, do not store them here. UPDATE: went to move out today 10/10 and decide to walk around and look at other units and found 2 others that had been tampered with and the door could be opened. Great Service!!! I did not set up autopay correctly when I updated my credit card, so my payment was eight days late. I called to ask them to waive the ~$64 fee (20% of monthly), and they quickly described the process. For them to request the waiver, I first had to submit payment then call them back so that they may submit the request. I called back within a few minutes, and they quickly sent the request. A few days later, I received confirmation that the fee was waived. We did have a small hiccup where the late fee was automatically deducted from my account the day after I submitted the payment, but when I logged in, the fee was already applied to the next invoice, so I didn't bother calling. Based on their response to my initial call, I am confident they would have refunded should I have requested it. I very much appreciate their flexibility and willingness to work with me. read more

When we arrived to the storage facility we were delayed gaining access by 30 minutes. The code that we had been provided did not work. The front office was locked so we had to call and leave messages for a call back to have the code reset. As a result we had to pay our movers an extra $46.00 for their time plus we all ended up moving in the rain. i like that the felicity is very clean always. The bad part about this storage place is that no one is ever in the office when you have questions or need to check out check in a darn cart.
