This U-Haul location was horrendous. The employees all smelt like weed. The employees were…read moreliterally moving the speed you would expect when someone smells that strongly of weed. The lady I worked with decided she wasn't going to communicate with me. She didn't answer my questions and several times asked me if I've ever rented a trailer before while I continued to reply, no. Several employees were just sitting in rental vehicles on their phones even though the lobby was full of people trying to rent. I can't believe U-Haul would force people to rent from this location.

Customer service was horrible. The lady tried to blame me for scratches on top on the van upon…read morereturning it. The PV Rental Representative had never checked the top of the van before releasing the rental van to me. However, she determined it was important to check the top of the van when it was returned. PV Rental representatives were asked to check the previous records on the condition of the top of the van before I left the lot. After a review of previous renters information was previewed for reported damages, PV Rental Representatives found that the scratches had been reported by a previous renter. It appears that blame from PV Rental Services was ready to be placed on unsuspicious customers. They seem to want to find reasons to charge the customers for damages that had not been done by the present renter. I wouldn't be surprised if they get kickbacks for blaming customers and charging customer insurance companies. Further, the seats were dirty and spotty on the inside of the van. Also, the lug-nuts on all four tires were loose. Van inspection by PV Rentals could not have been performed by the company before offering it as a rental. The safety of my family and I meant very little to them. My dad and my husband had to tighten the lug-nuts to ensure the safety of all passengers riding. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PV RENTALS TO MY WORST ENEMIES.

Penske Truck rental (Mike on the phone) and the guys at Home Depot went out of their way to help me, even though it was entirely our fault and they were tightly booked as it is. They made it work, that's amazing customer service. Penske has gained a loyal customer from now on. Also, my mom had tried a 15' uhaul truck before, and the 16' Penske truck that we switched to is apparently much smoother and easier to drive.
