They made it work, that's amazing customer service. Penske has gained a loyal customer from now on. Also, my mom had tried a 15' uhaul truck before, and the 16' Penske truck that we switched to is apparently much smoother and easier to drive.

This U-Haul location was horrendous. The employees all smelt like weed. The employees were…read moreliterally moving the speed you would expect when someone smells that strongly of weed. The lady I worked with decided she wasn't going to communicate with me. She didn't answer my questions and several times asked me if I've ever rented a trailer before while I continued to reply, no. Several employees were just sitting in rental vehicles on their phones even though the lobby was full of people trying to rent. I can't believe U-Haul would force people to rent from this location.

I returned the truck and left my phone in it. Anita Vice (the manager) had taken my phone from the truck inside the facility and hid it in her desk. At this point the phone was stolen. When I came back to retrieve my phone, she refused to unhand my property. She held it at random because the individual who rented the truck had a $45 balance. I had to call the police on this woman who actually felt that she had the authority to do what she was doing. I had no dealings with this company. I had no paperwork with this company. I signed no agreement with this company. I simply returned a truck for someone who else that rented it. I was late for work waiting on the police after calling them on this maniac woman. I could no longer wait, so my cousin remained there and got my phone back. She was also late for work. They wanted for her to wait at the store until the original driver paid a $45 balance. Only because we both had somewhere to be, my cousin paid the $45. Anita thinks this is a victory for her but this will be pursued, trust me. You cannot steal and hold somebody else property in effort to get another persons balance paid. That woman literally had lost her mind. When I left I contacted an attorney who told me what she did was 100% illegal Lol. I was in total disbelief that she tried this.

Got there at 10:30, all locked up, no sign of a person or a truck. No one answered the phone until after 11. Went back, and he says that he has no truck, that UHaul should have called us to tell us what location to pick it up. WHAT?? Called UHaul, they found my reservation, and I could pick up a truck 5 miles away, but not until 5 pm. Went to Home Depot, got a truck in 10 minutes, done. Never again.
