I've been meaning to write about this location. I arrived here on August 3rd after having my reservation booked more than a few months in advance through Costco and the guy working at this location was very rude and not welcoming at all. It was a bit busy so I'll give him that however, he handed me the keys to check out a minivan that I hadn't reserved so that I may see if I liked it. Needless to say, it looked as though a tornado went through the vehicle. Filthy, was an understatement of what it looked like. Luckily for me, I had also made reservations at another Enterprise in Bay Area just in case and that one actually worked perfectly with the large SUV I had reserved and the staff there was very professional. I had read other reviews posted prior too but still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt just in case they had improved. Renters beware!! read more

This ER-A-C is close to our office, we have a corporate account and I rent from them a lot. I've never had a bad experience and the people here that I've dealt with are exceptional. The negative reviews are surprising and the opposite of my experience. The branch manager here is Darian and he is outstanding. I wouldn't say it if it wasn't so. read more

Most incompetent location. I have never been to a location where I am the only customer and they refused to help. Then others started coming in and anyone who did not look like me got helped. They would not give me a car despite having a reservation 3 days ahead of time. Seemed like reverse discrimination. If I Could give 0 stars I would. I was there for 2.5 hours. Never got a car. I have been on national car rental and enterprise executive preferred list for 10 + years. This past week they gave away my reservation and offered no help to get another car. I was treated like a pariah by the staff and asked my friends if I could use their car and they sacrificed for my family since we were in town for 2 days and needed car for a wedding. The workers there are rude, it is as dirty as a DMV office and I would never use enterprise again. They should be ashamed of themselves. Used to be a good company with good training. Filed a complaint report with BBB too. Other customers at location treated poorly too, not just me. Never again. Use another company. read more

We have a claim with Allstate Insurance and were told to rent a vehicle from Enterprise Rent A Car. After 2 weeks of driving the rental, my daughter experienced issues with the vehicle on a Saturday morning and did not think to contact the local office until 12:30PM. The vehicle would start and then the steering wheel would lock and turn off. She had to repeatedly start and restart the vehicle - definitely unsafe to drive. Unfortunately, it appears that most Enterprise offices close at Noon on Saturdays and they are not open on Sundays. She contacted the Emergency Assistance number and was told by the representative (she added me to the call) that her options were to wait until Monday for a replacement or take an Uber from Huntsville, TX to Bryan, TX (60 miles away) to get a replacement vehicle. Just to be clear, the solution was to make, at minimum, a 2 and a half hour round trip drive to retrieve a replacement vehicle - not counting the time at the rental car office in Bryan. So, at least 3 hours total. We asked the representative for another customer service number to reach a local Enterprise representative who could assist us. He gave us another 800 number that ended up circling us back to Emergency Assistance. We attempted to reach Enterprise via social media over the weekend with no response. So, she went without a vehicle over the weekend. She had to ask friends for assistance and will need to get a ride to campus Monday morning, as the local office does not open until 8AM. At some point Monday, I am assuming we will be able to get a replacement vehicle. The company offers minimal assistance in the case of an emergency - not to mention hold times of about 10 minutes. If you have an issue with one of their rental cars and are located in a city without an Enterprise airport location, then expect to either go without a vehicle or spend your day getting to their nearest open location for a replacement. We will never rent from Enterprise again. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. Because of the nasty and disrespectful verbiage of the manager at this location, enterprise will never get any of my money again. And I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years. Calling the 1-800 number to complain only gets you a reference number with no follow up. Disgusting event happened at the end of October and I still haven't received any communication as of the writing of this review. Go elsewhere because they really don't respect your dollars. Other companies may be more expensive but I cannot imagine they would have worse customer service. read more

I was very impressed with this location on 610. It's very convenient and landscaped. DeKarra, Brooke and Jeremy worked awesomely to meet my needs! I was looking for something economical with a CD player and they delivered with a smile! They have great attitudes and excellent customer service! There is plenty of comfortable seating and mints in the waiting room. They know the ins and outs of the business and take the time to go over the rules in detail. Their cars smell good and they are vacuumed and neat, and they have someone on-site that handles this so your vehicle arrives to you in pristine condition! Whether it's a car, truck or minivan, Enterprise of the Galleria is the #1 place around the loop to go to! Kudos! Have a nice trip! read more

Renting a car is usually kind of annoying. But these people here made it really really smooth! I had to rent a car all of a sudden, which is a problem in & of itself. After a few unsuccessful calls elsewhere, I made an appointment online here. I was wary, because I showed up 2 hours after I made it. But they were on TOP of it. Fast, smooth, nice car. They made a great effort to get me in a car as quickly as possible, with good quality. Kudos to the Galleria team. Drop off was also quick & easy. read more

I booked a reservation for pick up at 4:30 on Friday March 5 for a 9 day rental of a mid-size SUV. When I arrived there were 12 people ahead of me and they had no cargo. The Branch Manager - Garrett Machacek - was the only employee and said it would be unlikely they would have any cars, and the location was closing for the day in 90 minutes. I was told I could wait to see if one came in. He said there was a problem with the reservation system that was still booking more cars despite not having. I booked my reservations days in advance. Clearly they demonstrated no concern with meeting booked reservations. Be warned. read more

Not bad place unless you like getting a rental car with "7/8" full of gas, THEN being pulled over in your rental car because they registration is out. Then bringing it up when returning the car and no concern just a "thanks for the heads up", then the customer service calling you at 8 at night (season finale of the Bachelor that I'm forced to watch) and asking how your experience was and you try and let them know about the registration thing, but it didn't fit into their "Completely satisfied, somewhat satisfied, not satisfied" two question customer feedback questionnaire. Other than that, pretty good. read more

Best ERAC location I've visited and I rent. A LOT. The traffic that this place gets bc of the location is astronomical. They take it in stride and the staff is professional and incredibly efficient. I called in for an upgrade two days before my first rental and actually got a call back the next day about possible locations. Thumbs up for customer service. The petite little lady who rented the first vehicle I got there, an Expedition, actually had to wash it to and apologized for the fact that she couldn't get to all the spots on the windshield (uh duh - you're 5'3 in heels)... but seriously - best customer service I've ever had at any location hands down. From what I got yesterday, they have a brand new fleet of '12s as well. Get yo'self in a brand new whip here! read more

The cars were dirty so they had the sales reps washing the cars. The girls at the counter were really sweet (after poorly rinsing off the car). The car was still dirty after the "rinse off", but they did their best! Best highlight: We had a driver pick us up from Omni to rent the car! Convenient! read more

One star is too generous for this location: Terrible customer service. Derrick, one of the managers never follows up when he says he's going to get back to you. Not one employee here follows through with what they say they are going to do. I have literally spent over $8,000 dollars renting vehicles from this location alone in the past 5 months and I will never rent from them again:. The managers are lie and tell you that they will take care of things but they never do. Apathy is a good word to describe the employees here. I never see a happy customer at this location. Other customers are frustrated as well, and you can see how turned off everyone is. I am personally going to call their corporate offices and I will be writing a letter to the CEO of this mess of a company, as well as contacting the Better Business Bureaux, and reach out to some local news networks to look into the terrible experiences that many people have with rental car conglomerates, especially this location. Really unethical business practices and I am going to follow through with getting answers. read more

As a business traveler, I use a lot of rental cars. This is by far, my favorite ERAC location countrywide. Ok, I will admit, they are very close to my house and thus, I frequent this location the most by far. That being said, these guys know how to treat a regular customer. I typically rent a "Standard" size vehicle online and pick the vehicle up at this location (well, actually - they pick me up most of the time). More often than not, I am upgraded for no charge to a far superior vehicle - examples... sure - how about a Cadillac, Tahoe, Expedition - the list goes on. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a pretty high volume location too, so it is surprising that they have this level of service. If you need a rental near the Galleria, look no farther than this ERAC! read more

It just gets frustrating when you rent two cars for two weeks totaling a couple of thousand $ and the staff could care less that you did business with them. This man busts his ass to give you the best service possible.. far better than anyone else there hands down. Run do not walk away from this location. I frequently rent cars. Sometimes it's with Enterprise and sometimes it's not. I rent from Houston but also all across the country. This location is the only Enterprise ANYWHERE that has ever put a hold on my credit card. It was for $350. No biggie. Weird but whatever. The thing that really got me is that I received the car 3/4 full. Now, they did mark that I received it as 3/4 full but that's not the point. Consider this: When fueling the car for the return, it's going to be a pain to try to get exactly 3/4 of a tank/drive to the point that it's returned at that level. This means that with each and every rental, they get free gas for which of course customers are not reimbursed. Yes, it's only a few gallons extra but for me, it's the principle of it. Why try to cheat customers? Additionally, there was no cruise control on my car. Trent told me quite matter-of-factly that no cars under Intermediate come with cruise control. Really Trent? I informed him that I knew for a fact that that was not true not only through my other experiences with other rental car companies but also with my experience with the many other Enterprise locations I have rented with in the past. This location plays too many games. Though I did end up paying exactly what was quoted and my hold was released the day of return, I do not find these people trustworthy. It was my mistake for becoming complacent and relying on the quality I have always received from Enterprise and assuming that all locations bearing the name would be the same. Lesson learned. I will check out each location individually before I rent. read more

Robust car rental for international visitors close to Galleria area. Called and asked to be picked up from hotel and they sent driver at rebooked time. The driver Rex did great job explaining local traffic rules (as I was used to driving on the other side of road) and also provided tips on which cinema was easier to get to! Car was fine- could have been cleaner - service friendly. Rex again did great job dropping me off at end of hire. read more

They don't have the car you booked online. The company on 3 separate occasions at three separate offices let me book one car and didn't have it available when I showed up at my reserved time. The staff said it was a problem with the new system but bits hard to believe in this day and age that availability and electronic reservations don't match up?? Sounds like a class action bait and switch scam. Also, the insurance that they try to scare you into buying is a scam too. Their own website says they are not qualified to judge the renters personal coverage and you don't have to have or meet the service counters approval for car insurance. They cover the vehicles themselves with a corporate policy, don't buy any extra bogus coverage. read more

It was HORRIBLE! We got a car with tire sign on! The staff didn't even told us! We were so naive and believed that they wouldn't rent a car with problem to us. So we drove three hours highway to other city and noticed on next day. Thank God we noticed the tire was flat and went to discount tire to check. They said it was very very dangerous! I rented a car from the airport branch but wanted to return it closer to where I was staying, as I was going to be catching a bus to San Antonio. I called the closest branch to the bus station but they wouldn't be open at the time and didn't have after hours returns. They pointed me to the 2829 West Loop S branch as the nearest with after hours returns. I phoned them up to confirm and they were super helpful, went out of their way to give me extra information and even told me the best number to call for a cab to take me to the bus station. All this and they presumably didn't make a penny from me since the airport branch is where I had rented the car. Great service, wish I could say the same for the airport branch. read more

Terrible service ! Zero customer service. I came here from Maryland trying to rent a vehicle and they don't have any on the lot.

Take your business to another Enterprise location. DO NOT do business here. This location has been a nightmare to deal with. The manager, Trent, is rude and arrogant. I was refunded for a fee that was to be paid for by a bodyshop. The manager himself spoke with them (I had witnesses to back me up on this) and refunded me the fee. A few days later, I get a voicemail saying that the bodyshop apparently changed their mind and that I had a balance due. I get home to find out the balance PLUS an extra $97 was withdrawn without my consent or warning. After trying to get a hold of this guy for an explanation on this mysterious extra charge, he is suddenly dodging all contact. I have never had such a horrible experience with a business. read more
