This storage has been broken into twice since I moved my belongings in. The door has a code that only renters should know so it must be an inside job. We never get compensated for violators rummaging through our belongings and breaking into our supposedly secured spaces. This place is not safe to keep your stuff. Too many break ins. read more

I love that they have a 24 hour access option for some of the units. even though this area floods a lot ive never had any issues with water getting into my unit. Your stuff is not safe here. We rented two units. All of our possessions were stolen from one of the units. The office said they had no record of it ever being rented (even though we rented both units on the same day from the location's, manager), so the insurance wouldn't even kick in. They refused to provide surveillance footage requested by police. We have a strong suspicion of an inside job (the location manager had recently left). We've vacated our other unit, and noticed someone was trying to gain entry over the wall of another unit - the metal had been cut with a hacksaw (a used blade was on the floor). I highly suspect some people are living inside one of the units, based on suspicious behavior. The company's management is horrific - they do not care about the safety of the goods you store there. Their incompetence led to thousands and thousands of dollars in losses to us. We're never working with this location or Public Storage again. read more

This storage is okay to keep things in they don't require great locks you can put literally any lock on there witch was very unusual to other facilities they don't really have much AC units available insurance I was told I can use inside materials but upon moving There was always a sign on the office door no one was really there the property looks very old and not upgraded but it's okay to leave your stuff in read more

If I could take away stars I would! We have been renting a storage space from the 2603 Joel Wheaton Rd, Ste 400, Houston, TX 77082-1831 location since August of 2018. Yes, the young lady(s) that work in the front office is very polite and has good customer service. However, on another note access to your storage unit is HORRIBLE!!!!! The gate code we originally received worked for a while and then when needed to access our storage unit the gate code didn't work. We called and called and no one returned our call. When we were finally able to come back and speak with someone the young lady at the front stated that they had been having problems for a while with the gate codes not working and it had been reported, but nothing was being done about it. We called the main 800 number and was told by the rep's there that someone would call us back and again no return phone call. We finally got another gate and that one stopped working after a while. There is no reason for anyone who rents a storage space that has controlled access should have to go through this much trouble to access their property in the storage unit. When I asked if they would pro rate our rental fee because we didn't have access, I was told NO they would not pro rate we would still have to pay the full amount. We did and guess what still no access. We will be pulling our stuff out of Public Storage and never renting from them or this facility ever again. read more

After 4 years in this storage unit, it got new management last year. We got our unit robbed. Lots of my valuables are gone. Staff is unresponsive and not helpful much. Our unit was inaccessible from November until February of this year (2022). 4 months and they always had the crazy technical issues stories to not be able to open our unit. The storage units are clean.The box I store my Christmas tree in was damp and moldy last December. I emailed with a question about that and never got a reply. My reason for canceling my rental contract is that the monthly rate increased dramatically from the initial move-in special rate. The current price being advertised for the 5x5 unit is $24 per month with a regular price of $35 a month. Actually, my monthly fee was $48 per month and kept increasing. read more

Frustrated, Public Storage post on their website how you can pay online. FIX IT. Wouldnt work via google, was told it only works on yahoo. Has worked only once since January 2020. THEN on their automated phone system, they want to charge an extra $10 . Public Storage is certainly growing and opening new locations so they have the internal money to improve the website so CUSTOMERS can pay online, via their website. DOESNT WORK! FIX IT !!! read more

I was referred to this storage facility by my son, who said the location and customer service were great. He was right! Malinda and Chelsea were awesome! This location is close to my apartment, easy to access, and well lit at night. When completing my contract, Chelsea was extremely patient, and explained everything to me step by step. She made sure I was comfortable with the contract, the price and the location of the storage. When I asked Chelsea a question about the discount, she gave me an honest answer, but she also asked Malinda to confirm. Unfortunately, I could not receive the discount because I had a storage on the other side of town. I was transferring units, not moving into a new unit. Oh well.....Malinda and Chelsea's customer service made up for it! This will definitely be my storage of choice, and I recommend it to you if it's convenient for you. read more

She was a true delight to deal with from the moment I walked in the door until the day I reluctantly had to move. The best customer service ever! It all started with a call to Public Storage, I called about an online deal that I found and wanted more info. The women on the phone was professional and very courteous. She listened to my need and even before I could ask about a better deal, she offered me one!! Wow, they weren't trying to haggle me with something I don't need, which anyone can appreciate as a customer. When I arrived to this Public Storage, Michelle greeted me and went over everything! She even called and left me before to remind me of my appointment (which I forgot about). When she didn't know the answer to one of questions, she immediately called her supervisor to find out and went event further to ask other follow-up questions. What service!! Michelle and the Public Storage team went beyond their expectations. If everyone worked as hard as Michelle and the Public Storage customer service department, this would be a different world.
