Current renter of a unit at this location. Apparently, they decided to replace the doors on the interior units, and now I cannot access my unit with my current set of keys due to a new lock. Items stored in my unit were needed TODAY, before I leave town, and I came during normal access hours. Insane that I don't see where I was notified by phone, email or mail. This whole place is a joke. Nothing is working and you can't even access your unit. This particular location is completely out of order and contacting customer service is like talking to the wall. I started sweating inside the unit right away and then quickly realized all my stuff smelled of mold after being there for only 3 months. Its so hot and humid inside I had to step outside to cool down! I submitted an online "concern" about climate control through live chat and was promised 72 hours response that I'm still waiting on. Both lights in my unit don't work, the bathroom doesn't work. And then the next day the gate system is offline and the property manager doesn't have any keys to access the buildings manually. First of all how does the property manager not have access to the inside units? What if there is a fire there or I passed out in one of your "climate controlled" units? Its insane but manager on duty can't help with anything but submit a request to fix the lock system. Okay whatever.. 2 days later, no one is answering the phone, and none is calling back after leaving the voicemail so we came to check it out and the system is still offline and manager on duty is non existent. So I made an earliest appointment online for today through the live chat and was promised a confirmation within 24 hours. And when I got here today of course there was none on site. I went back to live chat and apparently they have no records of making an appointment for me. I knew I should've screenshotted that conversation because it was too good to be true. So we called again and finally got to a representative and he said he'll call the manager on duty and he was only a couple minutes away. But an hour later there was no one present. So customer service does nothing but promises you what you want to hear but doesn't actually do anything or for some reason they won't give the upper management contact. So if you have any issues know for sure it won't be fixed and if you have deadlines to catch, you are screwed. All they do is lie and "address your concern" and take your money. And now I can't even move out before the 1st and have to pay for another month! The worst experience with a storage unit I've ever had! And I'm hoping maybe they will respond to me after this review because the whole company is a false advertisement! read more

I moved into a smaller apartment I don't have an.I don't enough space so I went online to public storage.I found a location close to my apartment. The online prices are reasonable the space I rented was $27 a month. I'm pleased the process was successful easy no hidden fees and I completed the transaction online. I like my space it's just what I need it was clean has a light switch inside the unit.The app allows you to open /close the gate with just a touch. I have access to get in and out with typing my access code.It's safer for me I won't have to get out or roll my windows down.Public Storage has upgraded my lock with my insurance pamphlet was in the unit too. My rates have gone up over two years, but the increase from the charge due in December ($219) to the amount charged in January ($302) is ridiculous. I will be vacating this place in January. I did call them about the rate, they refused to reduce January's amount but offered to reduce February by a little bit. No thanks. Professional, Courteous, and Compassionate!   This is the best way to describe the service that I received by Cici at my local Public Storage facility at 2801 Hullsmith Dr.   As a longtime customer, I haven't really had occasion to visit the office until now. I'm in the middle of a very difficult time in my life and my storage needs are more important to me than ever.   I had to make some adjustments to my storage accommodations and was fortunate enough to have Cici there to help me. She not only explained my options and made some very helpful suggestions, but she listened to my story with patience and understanding, which was exactly what I needed at that time.  Cici went out of her way to make sure that I had everything I needed, which made my whole experience as smooth as it could possibly be.   My storage unit is clean, well lit, and easily accessible, the gate access is secure yet manageable. I feel safe while moving my belongings in and out. I highly recommend this Public Storage facility to anyone who cares about great customer service as well as a secure feeling when they drive away. I needed some storage quick and this public storage was right by the house and very reasonably priced when your book online. I got frustrated however because the online system makes you use their (overpriced) rental insurance and when I called the location and spoke to Manish he was very kind and helpful and assured me he would take it off once I came in. He handled it promptly upon arrival and stuck to his word. I would 10/10 recommend them, the owner Manish is the nicest man and has the best customer service which is rare to find these days. read more

I was generally satisfied with the service, but in May of 2021 they increased my monthly rent from $54 a month to $152 a month, nearly tripling it overnight. Occasional rent increases are reasonable and expected, but tripling the rent of someone who has paid on time, by autopay on a regular basis is ridiculous. What they don't tell you when you sign up is that the office isn't manned during the posted hours. Even if you apply and pay online, only a manager can let you into your unit. The cool part? The manager is unavailable. The phone line is unmanned. Voice mail is unanswered for hours. The customer service voice response gives no option for a live agent. If you select to rent a unit, you know, new business they're interested in, then you can get transferred to an agent. They literally told me to drive around Houston in rush hour traffic hoping to find another office, that won't answer their phone either hoping to find some other manager to give me a temporary access code. After that wild goose chase, I can get in the gate, but not the unit. What a waste of time! If you want to access a new unit, plan on waiting around for the personal schedule of a manager who doesn't seem real interested in showing up to work. Don't worry. They'll call you back. Sooner or later. To make an appointment at their convenience. Good luck with that! read more

Don't bother if you will be storing longer than 6 months. On the 6th month, you will get a letter raising your rates by almost 10%. Calls to customer service were met with bullying and, in my case, a comment that I must be a loser to be living with family while all my stuff i stored in a different city. I got a pricing and set apart my unit via the customer service public storage phone number. They let me know the manager from the location would be reaching out to me in the next hour or so. Not even 10 minutes and I received a call from Jason about setting up an appointment to view the unit and fill out the paperwork. I got there and was promptly greeted by Jason and he let me know the security features of that location and who to contact incase of anything as well as the times. We went over to the unit I had set apart but it was smaller than I expected thankfully jason was prepared and had a list of other units that were available. After showing me another one we went back to fill out the paperwork and he explained everything I was signing and what exactly that meant whether it applied to me or not. He gave me my copies of the paperwork and I was on my way. Overall pretty quick process, super nice staff, and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend read more
